For some reason when I get to the vin entry on my system it limits me to 3 numbers short of my vin. I can’t seem to get around this. My truck is a 2010 F350 6.4L Cabela’s Edition. Any ideas, cause when I continue, my vehicle specification shows a vintage with last 3 numbers missing. I have tried choosing even an earlier model, no luck.
Hello I’m a new subscriber I’m working on building an 04 f150 . I will be installing phaser locks in the engine I have a previous truck that has a pcm with a phaser delete flash If I use that pcm and program will it retain the phase delete?
Hey brother! I am currently attempting a 4.6 to 5.4 swap on the same truck. Is it possible to flash my 4.6 vin onto a 5.4 computer? Or just flash the existing 4.6 computer with 5.4 configuration?
So I just ran this procedure on a 2004 Navigator that I had to swap in a used PCM due to a failed COP driver in the old unit, and it went as expected until the victory run after completion... ABS vin mismatch IDS instructed me to run the PMI to correct it, so i did. Fails at the end saying the PCM has incorrect VIN, run PMI to correct it. so again, i did. gets to the end and what do you know, ABS vin mismatch run PMI to correct. Also lost climate control module completely and the a/c clutch cycles like it would if i had turned it on. have you run into anything similar? at a loss..
This is awesome thanks sir. I have a ford E250 2009 Econoline, I replaced the ecm with a used one, and I did the PATS key programming, but I keep getting a P1622 code (immobilizer ID does not match) and its not allowing the engine to crank, I don't knw if its the ECM programming I need to do first?
@@BrianMann216 Yes I have done that multiple times, and I hv confirmed all wiring connections to the ECM and cluster are fine, but the code keeps coming up and preventing it from even cranking.
I have to program a new Ford RCM in a 2008 f250. I tried PMI by trying to pull the info off the existing RCM module and then installed the new one and attempted to transfer the data to it. Every time I tried this the procedure failed. It looks like I will need to program the new module using as built data. What would be the procedure for setting it up as new when the PCM will not communicate with the new RCM module? I really appreciate your input on this. I am using Ford FJDS for the programming which is very similar to IDS
Im interested in purchasing the vcm to use ids. Is there a yearly fee to use it order I just pay when I use it? Also on the tablet do you have it partitioned to use other software like Chrysler or other manufactures that are laptop based?

Hi Hope you are well. Quick question on reprogramming PCM module using ford ids, sometimes when put in tear tag number it doesnt always work, but how do you find the calibration number using registration and vin number of the vehicle. Would be a great help as i heard it sometimes it works using tear tag or calibration number. Thanks.
I am curious. With the prompt to remove FICM relay- if you are specifically programming the FICM module, are you suppose to remove the relay or leave it in so it's powered up?
To the best of my knowledge ( I used to program many FCIMs, ) the module is still on the network, the fcim i think is still powered up, the relay is for the high current side of the module.

I am not familiar with the Ktag , Bench flashing will vary depending on the module, newer vehicles getting tougher.
When you put the vin in at the beginning. What do you do about the odometer reading??
I leave it blank, this will be filled in as you see in the end report. It is not necessary to fill in.
