GTFO really flies under the radar in terms of yt content and 4-player coop PVE shooters. It truly feels unfair if you don't know exactly what to do for certain missions, but I'm glad to see Spiff&co fight their way to the depths
It's probably because everything beyond the first runs basically force you to crouch crawl through levels in the dark for hours, and someone messing up for even one second wipes 3 hours of progress. And devs had a bad habit of patching out actual fun/patching in even more annoying enemies and mechanics lmao.

So I'm confused, does the game operate like Left 4 Dead with campaigns that have a series of maps in the full campaign, but you can only choose campaigns on a cycle that the devs decide? If they're making their last campaign Will you not be allowed to go and choose the old ones?

I have indeed watched all of the GTFO videos Mark has made, and I wished there was more, now THREE HOURS of this game with an actually competent team and nice editing sounds like a dream.
FRR I loved when Mark played this but man seeing a really long video of a good ass team play it is the highlight of my day

I need to say this before I watch the who video and forgets it: I really liked the intro of the squad and what they do for the team. It made me feel more involved with the team immediately and hooked me for the video quickly

As much as it makes me sound like a brainlet, it makes me happy when I can see the team fall into the rolls they describe
Seeing the guy described as "the stealth knifer" go into stealth zones, and dance through corpses with his knife makes me happy cause it's a "he's doing the thing" moment

For future videos in the series, it would be awesome to have the in-game dialogue a hair louder. It's a simple quality of life thing for us viewers, but especially when watching on low volume, I've always had to turn it up to hear the in-game dialogue and voice recordings.

1:11:04 Iridium is the 77th element, a transition metal in the platinum group known for its high density. It's NOT radioactive, but just like it's brother Osmium it can make some pretty toxic oxides
An iridium isotope that is radioactive is used in some x-rays I believe, which is probably where they got that from
You're correct a lot of Ir isotopes aren't, but Ir-192 is one of the most common radioactive isotopes used for brachytherapy treatments, so I wouldn't say he's wrong either. More a "which flavour are we talking about" situation

This game is definitly a hard game for new players and they barely get the chance to actually get better unless you are taught how to play by the veterans of the game with close to 3000 hours of the game I still find it fun because just like lethal I enjoy having to play with friends to have fun and I usally play for long hours and I know many experinced players which make it more people you play with because the levels just seem way to easy when your with a experienced team ive been playing since all the way back to original Rundown 2 but have played R and the alpha rundown

I like the games where you gotta divide up the roles to accomplish certain tasks or get stuff done. Makes the game unique and always keeps people talking. Can’t wait to binge through this nearly 3 hour video.

Markiplier’s old GTFO videos were always my go to long form background noise whilst working, I loved those videos and this game seemed to cool but I am atrocious at shooting games so playing it to find any lore myself was always a no go. Really cool to see it back and to watch you and your buddies play!
Totally unexpected from Spiff - but I’m enjoying it!
GTFO is something I’ve found intriguing but due to the complexity, I never really tried to understand the gameplay or story more deeply. It’s hung around though, because of how good it does what it does. So I appreciate the 0-60 breakdown from Spiff ❤
This is seriously the video I didn't even know I needed in my life. GTFO's difficulty has kept it far away from the grasps of many content creators I enjoy, but if there's anyone that can do it, it's certainly you.

GTFO is one of my hyperfixations and I'm *always* happy to see people play it.
I've been trying to work on a video project where I lay ouy the story of the game- I've got a flash drive that I'm putting every single log onto, sorting it in a database and making a document going through everything from the beginning, with the earliest story-related lore i'm aware of being a news story of Hackett when he was 12. Poor guy's not had a good life.
Looks like I might have been beaten to it, with you explaing the story as you go, though. I'll probably keep puttering along, but this video is perfectly timed with me getting sick, so I have something to do while I recover.
Love the videos, Spig, and I look forward to howev3r many hours of videos rundown 8 takes you. With how many tries it took Profesor Scaler and his team, it could very well turn into well over 15 hours depending on how it's edited. I will watch and r-watch and re-re-watch every single one

Lately I'm spending most of my nights tirelessly working on art pieces for my portfolio. Many of them take 4-8 hours and I think I've yet to finish a piece without a few spiff streams running in the background.
I love the long videos and VODs, I literally can't get tired or bored of Spiff. He's been carrying my entire artistic process for the past few weeks. Better than any podcast or playlist could.

I think the issue with why GTFO is pretty much ignored on YT is due to the dedication required to play the game.
GTFO doesn't ask for dedication, it DEMANDS dedication.
You don't play GTFO to play in pubs. Pubs die in the first few rooms. YOu play with friends. Friends who have dedicated playing GTFO.
Spiff admitted to this dedication at the beginning of the video. He can't stream GTFO because if he did, he wouldn't be able to read chat. That's a demand of the game. There's no room for anything else.

@@Oboreru1f Usually Patreon members and/or youtube members get access to videos early, it's one of the most basic things basically every channel has nowadays.
Iridium 192 is the radioactive isotope of iridium and its used for things like cancer treatment. Incase ur curious is also has 2 stable isotopes 191 anc 193. I also believe iridium 192 udergoes beta minus decay and becomes platinum 192 majority of time and during that decay it emits the radiation we associate with iridium based things :)). Just a bit of info incase anyone is curious

Great video! One thing I wanna point out is the nightmare scout (tentacle walking around boi in overload) has the most HP out of all the scouts in the game, it even has more HP than a giant does. Actually, there is only 1 gun that can one shot it which is scattergun (but it has to be a client that use it not a host or else it won't completely 1 shot). I hope you continue this series of rundown 8 cause there's a lot more to the rundown that it seems...
The intro was indeed confusing, but only because so much info was thrown at you in the span of mere minutes. The simplified explanation of roles was appreciated, and, as someone else has already commented, everyone stuck to their actual roles and tasks, very reflective in their gameplay, which pretty quickly additionally explained everything down the line as well and helped differentiate everyone. By the end of the video, I could tell apart the voices too!
The lore rundown from the previous missions was also nice, and with you all commenting on it and explaining further, I felt like I actually managed to grasp it as well, despite never interacting with this game before. I love lore, so it was awesome that you all didn't just gloss over it either :)
The editing is top notch as usual, but you could slow down on perspective switches if it's too taxing / when nothing is happening, I feel like they started properly contributing starting past the first hour tho
The reason I love watching your videos in particular is because you keep the "mundane" parts in, and not just jump between the funniest / most interesting clips, which helps with the flow and immersion way more, as well as just simply showing how the games are actually played. The build-up to insane parts always pays off in the end too.
Can't wait to rewatch the video now with a proper understanding of what's going on :)

Heeey Spiff! I'm really hoping you see this comment. Do you think you could maybe play "Sir, You Are Being Hunted?" It's not exactly a "horror" game but it does involve a lot of stealth and strategy. It'd be really neat to see you play it because the game doesn't get a lot of attention. It's definitely a charming game I think you'd enjoy!

I like how Colton's pov makes it feel like everyone is actually speaking through gas masks because of the muffled voices. it would be cool if some kind of filter could do that to everyone's recorded voices, It's totally unnecessary but would do alot for immersion.

(This is only my opinion) The bits where you’re talking as a narrator are welcome and encouraged when u don’t have a chat. It’s really nice when you make a stream into a vid to break up the gameplay by reading chat or stuff like that. The videos you make without a stream would definitely benefit from you either talking to the camera(like to the viewer) while playing or you putting in some more of the narration bits (like when you talked about lore/loadouts/members of your group etc.)
Like I said this is just my opinion but when you add the extra talking it makes it feel less like a gameplay montage

I absolutely love you for doing this with GTFO. It's probably one of the best games I've ever experienced (even if just for a short while) but I can definitely see how most people would stay away from it. Without a dedicated group of friends, this game can get really overwhelming with most people leaving shortly after starting, like my group did. Solo is a playstyle but, of course, it's not for everyone. Thank you for making this video, it's about time this amazing game got more attention :D

This is something I've loved to see. A full playthough of this with people who know what there doing. I've seen other lets plays including from Mark and the gang but it feels like at times they mess around or try to be funny for views, and haven't done the full game. I would love to see this from the very start to finish, with story though edited like you did here with just key parts shown and the story explained.

i absolutely love these types of videos and i LOVED meeting the squad, they all seem so interesting and fun. definitely helped seeing the introductions be so fun like that!
i would love if you played a clip or two of them talking in the intros though, because i really struggle with learning voices and it took me a WHILE to distinguish between Marcus and Colton's voices (mostly because i have an actual, genuine problem with recognising voices. it takes me longer than the average person), but a voice clip like that would help out a ton with recognising them :)
this was super fun, hope the copyright issues sort out, it's sadly been a whole ongoing thing with undertale and just Toby fox's music in general. sucks.
