Your group make the game look so much easier than the little bit that I've played. The amount of discipline and coordination you guys have, even when shit's hitting the fan, is awesome. Not to mention the work done pacing out a multicam edit when there's so much going on. Huge props, Spigf
The story went on to prove that notion wrong tho. Mr. Court ("the little guy") was just fine, but continually abused the goodwill of young, inexperienced workers to get ahead. Nothing was stacked against him, he stacked things against his own.
If we're working on the idea that there's multiple iterations of the same team running in the complex, them dying in the last bit of the mission isn't really considered a 'bad end' or a 'false end' either, it's probably how it really happened, and since multiple teams are running the complex...the next mission after perspective is probably another copy team instead of that same team. Which makes this a case where 'we have reserves' is both in effect, and makes a fair bit of sense considering how there was already have had several dead teams that were your team's models.

I have truly been waiting for this. The first video made me want to play gtfo with friends, but then I remembered I don't have friends to play it with, so I'm stuck with your playthrough
I like how sploff always apologizes for being late but with this banger content and almost 2h long videos i think everyone is fine waiting a bit here and there
Little theory on the secondary for A2. Maybe you play as one of the dead teams that Schaeffer abandoned, since it locks out the secondary once you complete the primary, that might signify a lock in of which team you really are.
I don't know why but the exact game style of fighting horrifying swarms of enemies as the (potentially) last bastion of humanity is so genuinely awesome to see. You guys are so coordinated when you know what you're doing, and I think it's peak gameplay tbh. Would absolutely love to see either more gameplay of GTFO (if there's more to see), or something very similar like Helldivers. Heck, even Deep Rock Galactic is working on a new game that is themed after GTFO and that would be so cool for you to try out. (Called Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core).
Spiff while I like your content, I am afraid I can't watch your GTFO videos as I am currently playing through it myself. I appreciate all the hard work you and the boys put into the game to beat these levels and I hope Dauda, Hacket, Bishop and me will eventually be able to reach here.
typically, I don't care for shooters, and GTFO is the type of game I would never give a chance if I wasn't already a fan of someone who played it. I've now watched both of your GTFO videos in their entirety, plan to rewatch them in the near future to get a better grasp on the lore, and am looking forward to part 3. congrats Spiff and co, you convinced me that this is a great game to watch you play!
That lore about the diner hit me _hard,_ this game has shockingly good writing. Only other game that got me hooked with lore like this off the top of my head is the Bioshock series.
yknow, ive only ever seen gameplay of gtfo with these videos, didnt even know it has a story. And.. well, yknow how you, spiff, always hope to make rewatchable videos? you definetly acchieved that with these videos for me. something about the narrative getting explained after watching you guys getting your butts handed to yall is just oh so satisfying and rewatchable. Also imagine the game getting bugged and that one secondary actualy being placed in as the tutorial, that would be teeeeeeeerrible xD
I'm so sad that this series isn't getting as much views as the other videos are. GTFO has to be my favorite game that you have featured, and the editing is just the massive cherry on top.
A bit of a sacrifice but i kinda like how the sheer speed of E1 Valiant works into how the players experience the story. The entire mission is go faster, faster! to the point where you just go with the flow and maybe don't think as much, so that when schaeffer tells you about the door and the data cubes, you're less likely to consider if he's lying or not and just hand them over. Then you finslly get to KDS deep and all that speed and confusion gives way to the realization of the betrayal. Its a sacrifice in that its purposefully pulling attention away from the story in the moment in favor of it being cool in retrospect
Exactly. I know it's a bug for audio to cut out but one of the boys actually asked "what data cubes are we protecting?" or something like that, after Spiff handed them over simply because he got a prompt to. Worked fantastically story wise imo, I know they have control chips in their brain but having only one person know what actually happened so it's three less people to analyze what they're doing, and not being able to fully explain in the heat of battle? *chef's kiss* Very rare for a game to achieve that kind of perfect match up with in game lore and real life playstyle. A certain Bioshock cutscene that very purposefully took control away from the player is the only other example off the top of my head.
That montage at 1:49:54 is hands down easily my favorite part about this video. Nothing is more satisfying than bashing your head against a level you KNOW is beatable over and over and over again just hoping and praying for the miraculous successful attempt. The iron will of you and your friends is insanely impressive, and I can only hope to pursue that kind of mentality. You've also convinced me to start playing GTFO, Spiff. Not even a week in, and me and my friends have beaten all of rundown 1. Can't wait to be absolutely fucking broken by the later E missions!
Spiff, you are a madman. Editing a two-hour long video to such perfection shows an insane dedication to quality. Juggling three other perspectives, clipping in memes, captioning dialogue, and adding in montage music at just the right times would be a lot of work to a full-time editor, and you manage to do this all on top of playing all of this in between all the streams you do? Bravo my good man, bravo. You've earned my thumbs-up absolutely. Awesome work making me fall in love with this game too, your passion for it shines brilliantly. 👏👏
I'll admit that I have zero idea what the hell y'all are doing, but I find the teamplay fun and interesting. Reminds me of past team games I've played with friends. I can't wait to see what comes next :)
I've loved GTFO for quite a while now, but I have been absolutely delighted to actually hear it's main story be explained by you in these last few vids. I watched from start to the very last second. Fantastic content as always Spiff!!
I had no idea this game existed, I would never play this, I dont care for fps games or zombie survival, but man have I enjoyed this. The story is great, I love the teamwork and it's very well-presented. I checked out the first video because I found the sceneries interesting (they made a great job with all of the designs, great vibe). I really got hooked on the story and how cooperative it is, how you really can't make it through without all of you making it through - not just spawning again after a checkpoint. I certainly won't play it myself but I have very much been waiting for this part 2 to drop...
I always love Spiff's editing, but the the drop right at 43:00 with the Garganta Alert System saying "Warning" tickled my brain super well. Congrats on the amazing growth in ~3-4 years!
As someone who just beat the tutorial yesterday and is now watching this video. It was a real wake-up call of how hard the game will ramp up for me lmao
My team beat R8A2 Secondary yesterday, and we did it the dumbest way possible: After many, many failed attempts all ending at the sprint to the ‘extract,’ getting overwhelmed by charger tenties, we accidentally set off the four tenty scouts before even reaching the scan. Somehow, against all odds, the waves being more spread out cuz the regular plebs showed up earlier made the mad dash easier.
On an unrelated note, it’s neat to see that other groups also just don’t automatically recognize sleeping giant chargers until they’ve heard it rumble. The regular chargers are just so much bigger than regular plebs, ye kinda don’t notice the big chargers as being that much larger until they move.
the story of gtfo seems incredibly interesting and fleshed out but bc this game is insanely hard and u need 3 other ppl to play with i feel like its not getting as much ppl experiencing it as it should. im really enjoying these videos bc while ill never [be able to] play this myself they give me an opportunity to still experience and take interest in it, so thank u so much! [not to mention how well edited and paced they are
Honestly, the fact that they didn't pick up that something was up with the messages sooner makes me kinda sad whenever I rewatch these videos. In R8C1, when you first get contacted by the other team with those voice messages, one of the very first things he says about it is: "Why are they using the VoGen Dispatch to communicate? There are Hearsay terminals everywhere. They could just talk to you, same as I do. I don't like it. We don't know who they are, or if they're infected. Somehow, you have all stayed clean... but that won't last if you start interacting with others." Right as soon as those messages come in, calm Schaeffer is immediately saying he's very sketched out about the whole situation. So when, in the very next level, after he says he's going somewhere and will meet up with you later, and the spot you're supposed to meet him has a bunch of dead bodies, followed by "him" communicating to you using the same VoGen Dispatch system that he expressed concern over why it was being used over Hearsay, *and* that he's now with the team that he was concerned about being around due to concern that they could be infected... that immediately put some alarm bells off in my friends and my heads. I honestly love these Spiff GTFO videos, but man, it just felt like such a big thing went over his head when discussing calm Schaeffer and the other team.
@ damn, I didn’t realise there was that much foreshadowing. I do cut they boys some slack, though. I imagine they were mostly focused on finishing the levels, and with the voices only playing for some people sometimes it’s understandable miss out some stuff. Makes the twist hit all the harder as a viewer when it isn’t mentioned.
Yeah, the voice lines not playing is very very possible for sure. The reveal is definitely more of a shock without that context which might've made the videos a bit more interesting, tbh. However, I do think that, with that knowledge, a lot of the suppositions that spiff makes about calm schaeffer in later videos kinda fall really flat, but it just stems from missing one set of voice lines which is very likely not even his fault. If only they realized a bit sooner that doing things to enemies tends to break them, since they just kept carrying on at the beginning of the level while they were playing. It's still annoying that they break like that in the first place, but still, I wish they'd realized.
Finally was able to get through this (it's 2 am and I should 100% be in bed) but the final secondary had the voice over narration say: "simulated survival", "thank you for your sacrifice", and force KOed you. Likely, it was just a test run to see how much a team could handle, and if you could make it far enough for harder difficulties with stealth, overwhelming forces, and potentially for future groups, finding and gathering data cubes. Maybe even showing you how to deal with stuff later on to come in harder difficulties when it comes to removing your chips? Who knows. I mean, you do. You've played it. 😂 But you know what I mean. Thanks for showing off this game, it's always piqued my interested, but no one I watch really has it on their radars and I am Not Good Enough for games like these, so I always prefer to watch. Looking forward to the third and fourth installments! Best of luck, and thanks for the cozy times as always.
love to see some more GTFO I've been intrigued by this game since I've first heard of it a few years back, but haven't seen all too much about it, so it's really fun getting to see as much stuff, that's greatly edited and just with a fun group!

This is such a great series, I especially appreciate all of the editing to get all of the gameplay into just under 2 hours. I look forward to the next 2 parts 🥰

This was the perfect day for this to release. I just had the crappiest day of work and school, but now I get to watch an amazing spiff video while eating sushi.
What an amazingly beautiful choice of music and an insanely well put together video that feels more like an experience than an introduction to GTFO. Keep up your antics with your friends, many prying eyes are happy because of it.
YAYYYY i just saw part 3 go up i'm so excited!! here to finally finish the last ten mins on this, i've been watching this series v slowly over the last like, 2 weeks bc i wanted to actually Watch it and not just put it on in bg. i actually got chills when u were going into the possibilities of alternate universes/the parallel running of a different team etc!! and i wound up shazam'ing like 3 different bg songs in here (and will go back to desc for the ones i missed, tyyyy for putting those in there)
Really well put together especially for a long video. I love seeing GTFO content. It helps to keep the game alive. This game continues to be fun even after 1500+ hours (personal experience). Keep up the great work!
enemy spoiler the bubble feeler has 161 hp, you can hope to take it out with the scattergun( only non host can do that) or c-foam it and then melee it. the sniper does 160 damage so if you have a booster for special damage that might do it as well (i haven't tried that yet.)
excited to see the next couple parts, been running lethal speedruns and high quotas with friends because of your vid on q10s and this is quickly convincing me to try this out. good stuff!
I've been watching you for about a year now and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw you post part one of your GTFO series. Me and 3 friends had bought the game about a month prior to your video and we had completely finished R1 and R2. I was looking for GTFO creators one night and it happened to be the day you posted. I was very happy that one of the people watch frequently was uploading what I wanted to see 😂😂. What a happy coincidence 🎉
Spigg, even though I will never play this game for the sake of my own mental health, I really love the story and your series on it. Hopefully you and your crew can make it out without any permanent damages to your mental. Keep making the good shit, even if it has to stay in the oven for a while, at least the chef will like his own cooking.

i fell asleep watching first part (not beacause it was boring, but because of 11 HOURS SHIFTS 6 DAYS A WEEK), and woke up to this. I guess, this is a blessing. BTW, dream was unbelievably chaotic
As to what the A2 secondary means... its prolly mostly an easter egg but if you were to search for lore in it, i'd say that you most likely dont actually play as the OG team after warping and instead play the team that was native to the nigthmare wordline (or a diffrent team that accidentally got warped there), and they well, die, while the OG team finishes R8A2 in the normal way without the players control.

I'm so hype for this series. I barely knew anything about this game before the first vid but now I'm hooked.
loving the gtfo long videos! its a lot of fun seeing you guys play and the lore is getting more and more interesting! thank you! cant wait for part 3!
I love Spiff's storytelling edits - helps make the story and struggle more investing ^^
love to see some more GTFO
I've been intrigued by this game since I've first heard of it a few years back, but haven't seen all too much about it, so it's really fun getting to see as much stuff, that's greatly edited and just with a fun group!
its taking me a second to get through these videos(because they are BEASTS of videos) but Im enjoying them so much. huge props, the amount of work obviously put into these is massively impressive. pleasure as always mr spigg
This is such a great series, I especially appreciate all of the editing to get all of the gameplay into just under 2 hours. I look forward to the next 2 parts 🥰
Also, I really like the thumbnails. It's very clear which video is which but they still look similar so we can differentiate them from the other content. It also just looks cool
Yesss I’ve been waiting for this to come out! Hope you keep making these, always wanted to know the lore of GTFO and seeing it as you guys play through the game is great!
Me and a friend have picked up this game cuz of your videos and we've learnt that it doesn't scale based on the amount of people. We might need more friends.
This was the perfect day for this to release. I just had the crappiest day of work and school, but now I get to watch an amazing spiff video while eating sushi.
Loved the video man! Keep up the great work
bro didn't even watch it fully 💀
bro you probably didn’t even watch the video and just commented “loVeD tHe vIdEo mAn kEeP uP tHe gReAt wOrK”
Me and a couple buddies ended up getting the game cuz I was inspired to play by your videos. It's been a ton of fun!!!
i love these videos because i can put them in the background while i work and then when i refocus on the video i take in the most random lore
wth is the humming at 1:08:00. Also amazing video so far, any day is a good day when spiff posts
What an amazingly beautiful choice of music and an insanely well put together video that feels more like an experience than an introduction to GTFO. Keep up your antics with your friends, many prying eyes are happy because of it.
yay! can't wait for parts 3 and 4, i know editing takes awhile but thanks for this series!
Got so excited when I saw this pop up on my RUclips home page, can't wait to watch!!!! :D
So excited for this I love this game sm
I like to think that the reason why E1 is even considered an E is not because of the difficulty... But because you canonically die there
11:15 Wow yeah that is an insanely dirty wakeup
1:50:01
“Use a bioscan speed on the A mission.”
“It’s…it has a secondary, therefore it is an E.”
The escalation between A and E lmao
I love gtfo so much so I am very excited for this whole series!
the jinggle bells humming on the background on 1:07:58 scared me so much, cuz I didnt know where it was comming from
it’s a shame this video isn’t performing as well as the previous one because I’m really enjoying this gtfo content
YAYYYY i just saw part 3 go up i'm so excited!! here to finally finish the last ten mins on this, i've been watching this series v slowly over the last like, 2 weeks bc i wanted to actually Watch it and not just put it on in bg. i actually got chills when u were going into the possibilities of alternate universes/the parallel running of a different team etc!! and i wound up shazam'ing like 3 different bg songs in here (and will go back to desc for the ones i missed, tyyyy for putting those in there)
You can actually C-foam the wall thingies, and it stuns them for a small time. Not much, but it's something.
Oh that’s cool
@@AstralSpiff wiki reckons c-foaming one freezes it for four minutes.
Really well put together especially for a long video. I love seeing GTFO content. It helps to keep the game alive. This game continues to be fun even after 1500+ hours (personal experience). Keep up the great work!
Loving these vids :) Ive watched mark's gtfo vids soooooo many times, Im glad you took this challenge on, its incredible
enemy spoiler
the bubble feeler has 161 hp, you can hope to take it out with the scattergun( only non host can do that) or c-foam it and then melee it.
the sniper does 160 damage so if you have a booster for special damage that might do it as well (i haven't tried that yet.)
damn devs really said fuck you to one shotting it with the sniper
excited to see the next couple parts, been running lethal speedruns and high quotas with friends because of your vid on q10s and this is quickly convincing me to try this out. good stuff!
Best video. You made me curious of the story and lore behind this game
Yess, more GTFO!! This has definitely become my favorite series on this channel already
I’m really, REALLY enjoying this series. Thanks splogg!
Nice, was actually looking forward to part 2!
Spigg, even though I will never play this game for the sake of my own mental health, I really love the story and your series on it. Hopefully you and your crew can make it out without any permanent damages to your mental. Keep making the good shit, even if it has to stay in the oven for a while, at least the chef will like his own cooking.
SO excited to watch this during downtime at work!! ♥
Thank you boys for your glorious sacrifice of sanity to give us the more enjoyable part of discovering lore of this cool (yet infuriating sometimes) game. Can't wait for next episode
your playthrough totally convinced me to buy gtfo and play it with the boys, so we're starting our grind. thx spiff
spiff is the only youtuber i can watch play games that dont interest me too much because he himself is interesting. spiff is the main mission, the game is just a side piece
34:34 sleepy bookmark
Spiff you have inspired me and my friends to play this game together. I will either be thanking you or cursing you (or both) very soon. Love your videos!
spiff at 1:08:00 ish singing jingle bells as a background song is too funny
Barely missed that
Honestly, this is one of my favourite series ever. Keep it up 👍
Spiff is the only person that can keep me entertained watching a game I'm not really interested in for 2 hours straight
1:40:00 HE'S NOT TAKING ENOUGH DAMAGE, GET SOME HEADSHOTS!!!
IM SO FREAKING READY FOR THIS
this video fucks, whatever music you're using during the narration/story fill-in parts is fire
Was running out of "videos for fitness." Thanks for the clutch upload!
1:16:45 : This whole thing is so convoluted i'm glad they patched it before me and my friends got there.
i fell asleep watching first part (not beacause it was boring, but because of 11 HOURS SHIFTS 6 DAYS A WEEK), and woke up to this. I guess, this is a blessing.
BTW, dream was unbelievably chaotic
Noah: Brains
Colton: Assassin
Marcus: Mountain Goat
Spigg: Tank
just watched the old video and loved it , great timing lol, love the videos
So thankful for this full game Walkthrough channel!😉
-Love from twitch
I love this game so much ! I am really happy to see the full rundown of the story !
I still have no idea how this game works but it's Spiff so I'm watching all 2 hours anyways
