Here is another video on how to escape a full nelson with a different take that might make a little more sense to some you. Nothing is wrong, but something can be different in self-defense. The end goal is of course to get away alive.

To the instructor I say, bolshoye spaciba za instruksi. You appear to have forgotten more about martial arts than I ever learned.

Lol that hand lock thing though. Never trust a technique that's dependent on small motor control and being able to get a dry grip on your opponent.

Sylvester Hale it's good but not against someone strong with very bad intentions. I'm willing to bet him personally 1000US he can't escape my full Nelson inside one minute using that technique. However to be fair he is saying this is for non trained people.

Arm Strength Trainer lol like he needs to do it in one minute. All i need to do is wait for u to get tired and im out. And i have no problem waiting as long as possible with my hands on my head.

Actually this move really does work and it's one of the moves. In a lot of the government agencies for law enforcement or even the military, this move I learned it at the Academy I've had to use it plenty of times not only as a law enforcement officer in the street but also one that worked in Corrections at a state prison. Now if the wrong move is executed then you will lose and not be able to get away from The Full Nelson the first thing that has to be taught is biomechanics how the body operates and then learn the move and do it repeatedly until you gain it in muscle memory that is the problem a lot of people do not understand that they have to move them repeatedly so it becomes muscle memory at the same time understanding the biomechanics of the human body.

@@MauofMiami yeah this is also typical wrestling counter to full nelson. So it definetly should work

I hate how everyone trains to allow the hold to be put on you. The first move has to be drop your weight and drive your elbows towards the ground as you feel the arms coming under you arm. Never ever let them get the hold on you!!!
