I have been into RC cars my entire life and a huge fan of Tamiya’s 80’s cars I own a few like the grass hopper and hornet and the frog and I NEVER knew this existed - this thing was WAAAAAY ahead of its times considering especially what’s popular now.
I have the original M.R.C.bruiser when they first came out back in the late 80's.It still runs well,I use Futaba radio control to run it with, 4 channel stick system, back when AM was the only thing available.Excellent video, well done!!.
Mine is beat worse than that one. Looks good. Have fun with it. Put a 7.2 volt battery in it and it is wicked fast. Of course it lasts 6 minutes. The 4000 ma battery would go about 20 minutes.
I was thinking these were cool when I saw it on Tamiya’s website. I don’t know what I expected, but it wasn’t a bouncy stiff rattling weird little toy.

Beautiful model, just managed to find one along with a sand scorcher. Both original and in immaculate condition. Thanks for the great videos.
