Peter I hope your channel really becomes something big. There are so many things about air travel that I've always wanted to know, and little by little I'm becoming an expert from watching your vids. On a recent trip from San Francisco to my home in Phoenix, I was able to tell my traveling companion that we were passing Sky Harbor because we were on the downwind leg of our landing pattern. As we turned left I told him we were on the base leg and that we'd soon make another left for our final approach. You've turned me into a pro! Keep em coming and thanks!
My personal favorite on this flight was the Grand Canyon flyover!! I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E!! It was definitely the best one that I have seen!! Thank you for another GREAT video!!
I moved from SoCal to that area in Kansas you flew over, it's so quiet and beautiful out here, incredible skies, affordable, friendly people, especially the large Anabaptist population. Plenty of neat history and culture, things to see and do, the Flint Hills are amazing. Hutch is a great city, good breweries, neat Main street. Hard to find a direct flight anywhere out of Wichita, though!
Definitely on to something… A Masterclass Series, even! I guess that’s what these videos already are, actually. Done with so much to offer, from the presentation and quality editing, to the passion Peter exudes and impeccably detailed observations, etc.!!! Pretty amazing, Peter! Keep it up!
I've only experienced The Grand Canyon thru photos but your video is spectacular and I have never seen Shiprock before. Thank you so much for another awesome video.
I'm loving the videos! I'd highly recommend putting maps in every once and a while to help give people a better perspective of the approach and the route.
Wow, what great views you had out the window. I can't imagine why people take the window seat and shut the window! It is a beautiful world out there. I'm with you, my eyes are always out the window the whole flight (even at night). ...and the Grand Canyon, wow your footage was gorgeous. Thank you.
They'll say you're selfish for spending more money for a window seat and that their sleep is more important than your view. They'll also say they don't care if it's the only time you'll ever fly that route and see that view, and that their sleep is still more important. Throw an eye mask at them.
I just watched part 1 and I love your videos. You obviously live in NYC and travel a great deal. Even though I am very well versed in ATC procedures in North America as well as here in the UK, your narration is excellent and adds some spice to information which I already understand and don't need an explanation. But of course there are a lot of people who don't understand ATC and these videos are an excellent starting point as you explain some in depth information in a way that is easily understood. I look forward to watching your other videos. Greeting from Scotland. Fly safe.
Perfect information. I just saw the "Welcome to Luton" Prank video, and I am inspired. You provided a great bit of info. How would you like to explain a "WELCOME TO PHOENIX!" sign one day?
Hi Peter best videos I’ve seen. I love looking out the window also And love learning about small towns of America. The views of the Canyon are amazing. How did you manage to identify towns looking from the aircraft? Al
It's crazy that pretty much 24/7, aircraft are on about a 2 minute landing schedule in Las Vegas. You will sit at a red light and see one headed in and before the light changes, there's another.
Where was that video sphere shown at the end of the video located? I used to go to Vegas often but haven't been since pre-pandemic... that sphere must be new! If I had to take a guess, maybe at the Venetian?
AWESOME! I had the chance to watch this on the 65" screen in my house that I share with other household members, which was really great for those scenic views, especially of the Grand Canyon! I'm envious of how clear it was as you passed it. Do you recall what the flight level/altitude was at the time? Whenever I see the Canyon from the air, I'm flying between Seattle and Phoenix, so it is at a cruising altitude of 36-37,000 feet. Also it was cloudy the last times I flew that route. I grew up in Arizona, so I got to hike in the Canyon, even all the way to the bottom--yet it never gets old!!! 🙂
@@PeterMasella Ok, but I'm guessing you were lower than 36,000 since your flight was headed to Vegas, which is a lot closer than Seattle. Big screens are so cool! 🙂
Nice vid! I remember flying in to and out of Vegas back in the late '80s, and they had actual slot machines set up all throughout the departure and arrival gates. I wonder if they're still doing that?
Just found out that Harry Reid, whom the Las Vegas airport was re-named for, has passed away at age 82. ☹ (Also, I found some photos of mine from 2020 of the Grand Canyon from the air that I'd forgotten about, which aren't too bad! So I enjoyed making a video (slideshow) of that flight.)

Jason that is so awesome! This is exactly what I do when I am flying with someone! Please spread the word about my channel! Thank you so much!
Great video. I've been doing Las Vegas twice yearly since 1970, it's the food and entertainment capital of the world.
Sure is!
Missourian here, it's pronounced RALL-A, the O makes an 'ALL' sound. Great video and very informative, thank you!!
Thank you!
Peter - if you've never done a few days in the canyon hiking around and down the canyon it's a must!
Great suggestion!

Rolla Missouri, is also where Culver Propellers are made, fine hand made wooden propellers for vintage piston engined aircraft.
Wow, that is a great fact! I did not know that! One can learn so much by just flying across the country!
Great video! Vegas is my home town and I love airport operations videos involving Harry Reid International (KLAS)
Great Video with fantastic views. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

breathtaking view of the canyon. i'm amazed how steady you hold your phone!
That’s because there was no turbulence!
Stunning video Peter! The Grand Canyon was beautiful, excellent videography. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching - so much more to come!

great video again Peter!
Thank you Dan C!
Another marvelous video 🤩🤩
Greetings from Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
Gracias from the United States!
You really should teach a college course in air travel. Fascinating video.
Thank you! I like your comment!
Great video and stunning views. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you Mary!

Another great video Pete! You're lucky to get a wide body 767 across the nation as you see less and less of them these days
Thank you! I sure was lucky!
Hi Peter best videos I’ve seen. I love looking out the window also
And love learning about small towns of America. The views of the Canyon are amazing. How did you manage to identify towns looking from the aircraft? Al
Thanks so much! A map on my phone helped me identify the towns!
An aerial view of Hutchinson, KS at 1:15
Yes, it is explained in more detail at 3:40.
Yup, alway get a window in the right side, especially if its you first time to Vegas....especially at night!
Yes!
It's crazy that pretty much 24/7, aircraft are on about a 2 minute landing schedule in Las Vegas. You will sit at a red light and see one headed in and before the light changes, there's another.
It sure is busy!
You fly over my home right after flying over lake mead.
Cool!

It’s at Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened during the pandemic. It’s brand new!

I just saw that news too. Amazing how soon after the airport was renamed for him. I just watched your slideshow. Great views, Shirley!
@@PeterMasella Thanks! 🙂
What kind of camera and wide angle lens are you using?
I use an iPhone.
what camera was used to shoot this video?
This was filmed on an iPhone
Why do people get the window seat & close the shade???
That is the biggest mystery known to man! I have no idea!
I really hate it when people keep the window shade open. It spoils it for everyone.
I’m not very experienced with flying. So you’re saying it’s common for this ride to be a bumpy one?🤢🤢
Turbulence can occur anywhere, but often often mountains.
rolla mo is pronounced rawlla
Now I know! Thanks!
I've done the east to west flight home to LAS Vegas oh when you say NEVADA there's NO H in the spelling
I know! I have been told that many times but New Yorkers always pronounce it with the H no matter how hard we try!
What's up with that mask?
Flu season? Seems reasonable
Like the video but you’re mispronouncing Nevada. Lol!!!
Thanks for watching! I’m pronouncing it the way people from where I’m from (NY) say it! It’s a local accent. I’ve never really heard anything else.
Great footage! Hope you had a good time in Las Vegas. Happy Holidays!
Thanks! I sure did! Happy Holidays to you!
