OMG! The whole video I was thinking the same. I’ll watch this video a few times before tackling my silver car in the spring. Great job on the narration and videography.
you are my go to UK RUclips car detailing guy. never get bored of watching your videos. there's a real honesty and thoroughness with your videos that I love. and with being a fellow northerner I believe everything you say! absolute champion.
You don’t get that same depth of shine on silver but when detailed to perfection, it kind of glows in the light and really stands out especially in winter sun. Where the hard work pays off is in the dark under artificial lights such as a petrol station forecourt or multi-storey car park. I find the glassy finish of sealants work best on silver.
Pearl white cars look great under artificial lights too. Black still my fav but I'm forced polishing birdshit damage on nearly every hot day .. so it'll probably be my last black car ;
buff too hard and all you do is defeat what you're doing and put swirl marks into the paint, light pressure and clean buffing heads many passes for perfection changing the buffing heads for cleaner ones in between apply less polish as you go along.
I love how the Guru focuses on the methods to clean the car and doesn't push or endorse any products. He gives a general overview of what and why he uses, while leaving it clearly obvious that these are not the only products out there that do the job. Really quality work! Thanks for the great videos!
Nice to see actual wax being applied. Sealants and synthetics are great but true to the theme: "shine" - A true wax has a gratifying jetting effect and "look" that the aforementioned just can't achieve. Nice to be reminded that this was about attaining a great shine and not just how long whatever application lasts with months and month of durability - borrrring... There are still those amongst us who prioritize the shine. Well done! Satisfying...
Kudos! Your calm narrative over the video really mirrors the therapy I feel when i detail my car. It's really quite refreshing after all of the full on American vids i have watched. Will definitely look for more of your work.
Followed this to the letter today on my newly acquired "All Silver" Mini Cooper S. All i can say is thank you my Guru. Just nipped down the shops in it and got a very satisfying thumbs up from a random passer by!
I have a silver car and I know it may never just pop out shine like black, blue, red but also it looks good far longer due to silver paint being able to hide dirt and imperfections. Silver can definitely shine in its own way and I've gotten it best as i can and it looks good. Great video by the way
Another sublime video guru! I have a silver metallic bmw 5 series and It is hard to get a deep gloss shine. However I find in the winter sun/ going dark my car stands out a lot more than normal day light! Anyway keep up the incredible work. You’re one of the best detailers and all round RUclipsrs in my opinion.
I started with a great shine on my silver car (Nissan Altima Coupe). Paid attention to this video and ended up with a brilliant shine. Thank you. Cheers!
Your voice is hypnotic. I had to pause after 19 minutes and have a nap! I have a Lunar Grey XK, not quite as forgiving as silver but looks twice as nice once detailed IMHO Really excellent video dude 👍👍👍
Incredible incredible!!! I am certainly inspired to take care of my Silver Mobile now!!! Thanks. Awesome detailing with a super calm voice n commentary. Almost meditative !!! Hypnotic too. That Silver (car) Smiled!!
Right.... That’ll have to do..... 😂 Its awesome having someone who takes take time in there recording content... Its hard enough detailing cars as it is let alone faffing with a camera to get the perfect shot... Especially when this is your bread & butter time is money to you and i for one appreciate you taking the time to run this channel. Thank you
thank you very much! I‘m not really a car person but it‘s always nice to listen to someone who know what he‘s doing. Speaking of listening How (or where) do you record your audio. It‘s what really makes your videos stand out from a lot of youtube-audio-rubbish. ta-ra!
Wow! And this is for a silver car. Excellent and very detailed video. Thank you for making this video for us silver car owners. I will add some of your steps, as I don't do half of what you did, but I take care of my silver ride better than most. Even here in the USA most cars are silver and most are very dull looking as they're barely even washed let alone detailed. I do think a silver paint job with a high amount of silver flake helps. My car is 10 years old and still shines and it's just a Honda not a Jag. You are right about keeping the wheels, tires and any black trim dressed. Even with a basic wash and dressing of the trim, tires, lights and wheels my car looks better than most.
You outdone yourself yet again Mr Guru! And your narrative voice, it's unbelievably godly! I've got a handful of silver cars in between my friends and family I like to detail, so thank you very much for making the dreary silver car a hot topic!
Absolutely brilliant! Just the advice I’ve been looking for and even more thanks for comprehensively listing the products used throughout the project. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Just did a BMW X4 following these step by step method and was so amazed by the results...owner loved the job and I was paid and received a lovely tip 👍
As the owner of a highly metallic “greige” vehicle, I really appreciate this video. Also, kudos on the Salomon kicks... I knew there was something I liked about you!
I drive a 01 Nissan almera saloon and the silver paint is basically like glass. When I bought it the car was nearly brown it was so dirty. I have polished, waxed and clayed it. I wash it every Saturday and that shine is still there. I'm actually thinking of becoming a detailer. Great video
What a car to highlight! 👌 Haven't owned a silver car for many years as always felt a little let down due to lack of shine after detailing. I feel more inspired now to try silver once again! Thanks Guru 👍
I feel that silver color cars have their own distinct shine to them when you take pride in ownership in anything that will show. I have a Subaru with the ice silver metallic paint and the clear coat is Porsche soft so either way doing it by hand or machine creates excellent results. I enjoy watching your videos and Jim from White details as well, as a DIY detailer have learned a lot from you guys thank you !
Great video! I've got a silver car myself. I gained 4 more cars to detail this past summer because folks saw my car and wanted to know how they could make their cars look as good as mine LOL Thanks for putting this video together!
Once detailing a light colored or any car for that matter to this level you can maintain it wash after wash by using a quality spray sealant like The Last Coat or Bead Maker on the vehicle right after the initial detailing. These products can be used on windows and trim as well as interior pieces. I have a white Ford Mustang that I use those products on and I am always getting compliments on how shiny the paint is and asked how I got white paint to glow like that. Great stuff.
Fantastic video and amazing voice over. Glad to have found this channel and as an owner of a silver car I'll be sure to bookmark this video. Thank you.
What a great episode, as always! The shine on my silver car always surprises me after a good cleaning. I'd be hard-pressed to get a different color for any future vehicles.
I just drive a 2010 Toyota Yaris, but it's silverish color and I've started to get into detailing, practicing for when I'm upgrading to something better. I think I'll clean my car tomorrow. Hope it doesn't rain. Nice video!
Great video showing showing light on the silver paintwork. Now i miss my old silver car - giving it a good silver treament. I always thought the silver paintwork had a good deep layer shine to it, which was revealed after washing, decontamination, polising and waxing it. Thank you for the inspiration :)
Your video proper brightened up a shitty day, as always, so thanks again. Your unique style never fails to keep me glued to the screen, so long may it "have to do"!
Thanks for sharing buddy, and great job! last night relaxed by watching your video and fell asleep, for sure detailing our vehicle when one has OCD is a great therapy!

Very, very, good. Would also like to see you commenting on electric polishers and best buffers to use. Thanks for an enjoyable, and helpful tutorial, I may be 65, but still enjoy cleaning my wheels!
If you ever get tired of detailing, you could surely be an excellent author or commentator.
I could picture him doing voice work for movies. Wouldn't he make a good voice for a Transformer? lol

Seriously? This guy is a cure for insomnia if anything at all.
This guy is the Bob Ross of car detailing!
Damn, now I wanna see his vids again!!! Thx! ;))
OMG! The whole video I was thinking the same. I’ll watch this video a few times before tackling my silver car in the spring. Great job on the narration and videography.
I've watched this video and several more of his several times and felt so educated, even followed step by step instructions at one time.
I want this guy to tell me a bed time story. I'm 38
As long as you dont insist sitting on his lap.
I wonder if he's just putting on this children's television voice and actually sounds like a proper chav
Bit of both.
I've fallen asleep to so many of these videos. Better than Ambien.
Lmaoooo
I don’t often comment on RUclips videos, but this video deserves all the positive feedback possible. Keep it up man, you’ve got a talent for sure👍🏾
Ok

What a pleasant way to spend 30 minutes, good job Mr guru.
How much time did you spend buffing?
That was the most serene auto detail narration ever lol. Killer job my dude! 🤜🏼
Things I need to do
1 - win the lottery
2 - buy a load of nice cars
3 - get you to keep them clean
You seem to do such a thorough superb job. 👍🏼👍🏼
At one point I thought you missed a spot but I looked closer and it was actually dirt on my screen. :D
so did i lol
Hahaha 🤣
😂 Same happened with me

100% black is the best colour in the day light but under artificial light like you say, silver is stunning
Demon shine does wonders on silver 👌
Graham Brown demon shine....... are you serious?

@@shaunnormancroft It's hand polishing though
I've had serveral cars with paint ranging from black to red to white. Silver has been by far the lowest maintenance. I love it

Very interesting that the tar remover will dissolve the clay bar/ "clay" cloth. Very good information as always
The best detailing channel hands down 🙏🏼
I had a Nordic Mist 98 Prelude, I loved the look of silver by day & the Purple glow it gave off under street lights.

You set a new standard of shine to achieve for my soft top silver Peugeot cabriolet.

Thank you so much! I see deep shining cars and I get jealous because silver/grey Celica lacks the deep shine to bring out the curves on the car!
What a shame you are not based in Australia to detail my vehicle. Love watching your detailing I am nearly as a perfectionist like you.
