    I completely agree. The purpose of life is to grow and evolve. To learn from and experience life, to really live not just survive. Shit happens in life, you can't control that.... but you can control how you respond to it. Do you want it to change you for good or for bad? Life is too short to spend it bitter or depressed.

      He is saying that the integration of traumatic experiences is the key to unlocking your higher self. And that can only be done with a properly functioning nervous system. He didn’t explain that part very well in this video but I know because one of his students is my chiropractor and he told me!

    Hi Dr. Sukhi Muker, Thanks for this wonderful presentation. It is enlightening.
    Regarding people having a choice and it's true we do; but, only as adults. Unfortunately, a lot of damage can happen to people as children; and no child really can exercise choice. children are at the mercy of their caretakers, environments, etc. And many of those children will grow to be adults who have not an inkling that they have a choice either due to entrenched behaviors; financial struggles, cultural and or political or religious constraints. So, those of us who do get a chance to make choices; I realize we are extremely fortunate; but, even then; we pay heavily by the time we get to even know that we have choices. The bottom line is; if mankind wants to make the world a better place, we should start by giving children the best possible environments. Unfortunately, I realize, that is not a goal that we can achieve other than for our immediate families.
    Thanks

    If one tries to understand the meaning of Integration then the answer of "How"! in the other words..Do introspection about your own life ,Face the Fear,Trauma,Challenge Boldly and Think about it ,see it from different angles. Denial,running away can't heal can't solve a problem can't kill the fear.Converse with yourself,ask questions & wonder.

    • @donvandamnjohnsonlongfella1239
      @donvandamnjohnsonlongfella1239 7 лет назад +17

      It's kind of the same as dealing with emotional traumas that cause mental illness that lead to drug and alcohol abuse as well as risk taking etc, depression and suicidal thoughts or actions. They teach us to acknowledge the past and let it go. It's a matter of living in the moment and you can observe a past experience and how it made you feel then you let it go like it was traveling on a river. Then to bring yourself more in the moment you can describe where you are the things you see, what color they are, how they smell, what their texture is. You exist in the moment and can look back on past experiences and think of how you handled them and how you respond to certain thoughts or a certain diet or a certain smell and then consciously decide how you should act and then follow through and act the way you intend to. Then you can reassess the actions you have taken and move forward with your life without emotional attachments to past experiences so that you don't relive the same feelings towards the same moment or carry over old feelings upon new experiences that are similar in nature like taking on a new romantic interest or a new job. Take control of your diet, your routine, your thoughts, and your feelings. You live in the moment without preconceived emotions. Keeping a diary is useful for such things. Most of your most successful people do what is called deliberate practice. Either they take note in their heads if they have that good a memory or they take actual notes and they look at these notes when they wake up and assess the days events and what needs to be done. Priorities your life for the day, the week, the month, the year, or 5 years. Then you return back to the list and take notes at the end of each day, week, month, year. You experience a traumatic event you can write it down in a diary. Assess what happened, how it made you feel, how you should have handled it and the next time you come into such an event you handle as you should with intent instead of in response with reaction to an event that is happening to you. Years of counseling and self analysis and learning and this is what I have learned about being successful and taking control of your thoughts, your feelings, and the events in your life through intentional actions. Through intentional practice and reassessment of what worked today, this week, this month, this year and repeat what provides you with success and cast away the things that prove fruitless and unproductive towards the goals, feelings, wants and needs you are attempting to satisfy.

      Jesse Bowman Everything you said is helpful, esp concept of intentional practice. However, the concept of "letting go" translates, in my mind, to not dealing with something OR the dealing methods involved are, thus far, as abstract to me as is "integrating", which I might add sounds exactly the opposite of "letting go".
      An example is the person who always seems calm, always seems happy and in control, but one day drops dead from a heart attack and autopsy results reveal major signs of stress (bleeding ulcer, for example) and reading their journal you find they were in a living hell of stress, but claimed to their own self they were letting this go or that go. To me this person thought they were letting go when really they were simply tucking things away and *acting* like they were letting go.
      So, I hear these words integrate over and over with no explanation of exactly what is meant by that, and I end up with an instruction manual that's missing a section.
      I should add that it wouldn't even bother me except that I found everything else he said so compelling I feel like the one part I have the greatest difficulty practicing, moving past those things of profound negative impact when I am not able to deal with them as they happen, was left in limbo.

    What books do you recommend to read on the human potential

    • @donvandamnjohnsonlongfella1239
      @donvandamnjohnsonlongfella1239 7 лет назад +2

      Why read about human potential instead of performing actions that push your own potential in the direction you want to take it. More meditation, more physical feats of accomplishment, another mountain, a swim across a lake or channel, fly around the world in a squirrel suit :) ... Lot of feats to attempt. Reading about other peoples feats of accomplishment and theoretical possibilities of what people are capable of. :) If you want to travel to other universes simply delve deep into your own mind and if you want to live in this reality then do so with vigor and you will see what you are capable of.

    • @donvandamnjohnsonlongfella1239
      @donvandamnjohnsonlongfella1239 7 лет назад

      :p Can't speak for this speaker guy but I got lots of data collected over a life time of self analysis and observation of other peoples mental illnesses, physical disabilities, emotional break downs and reactions to events in their lives and whether or not they drove on with life to old age or cut their own lives short by deliberate or accidental suicide. I don't know anybody directly that died by murder but I know people who had their lives saved well others died because somebody committed suicide and the series of events after the fact lead to somebody not being someplace where they would have been when a bunch of people got killed in a suicide bombing. Aint that's some crazy shit. Life is fkn wild as all hell. Within the last 2 years the person who's life was saved by his cousin/my brothers suicide hasn't thrown away the gift of life either. He has embraced every opportunity to better himself and live a good life. I think my cousin had a lot better chance at success in life then my now dead brother.

    How ?
    Keeps telling us to "integrate".
    Never a hint how !!
    Or even what he means by "integrate".
    Please define your terms, and provide a solution.
    Promising sounding talk. But in the end he didn't really say anything - except provide awe that our nervous system creates a human from two cells, processes the environment around us, and that it feels undergo astronomical number of chemical reactions each second. And that if we would "integrate" the worst experiences of our life, life would be good. And he implies that illness, and ageing would cease.
    Nothing to back this up.
    No idea what he suggests we do to achieve this.
    Not even sure what he means by it.

    Great pts, but he conveniently omits a critical detail that most novices in the field of human behavior tend to overlook, choice is contingent on habits, habits are largely an adaptation to external stimuli to include modeling, i.e. how those consistently around us respond to such stimuli… Even the process of integration cannot be accomplished, unless one can remove him or herself from survival mode & can dedicate consistent swaths of time to execute the process of integration through one’s back brain to one’s frontal cortex. Decent motivational talk with little biological practicality…
