Very similar to the crash in Detroit in 1987, it was rumored the pilots disconnected the fuse to the flap’s configuration alarm system due to being annoyed by it
how in the world did a pilot with only 255 plus/minus hours get to be 2nd in command of a 737? ? ?, and evident from video flaps/slats were not extended, and what was that attached to the nose gear?.....great video graphics as usual thanks
larrybaker That device on the nose gear was a gravel kit, used on some early 737's so they could land and take off on gravel runways, designed to deflect gravel away from the engines.
With all the respected ... please check to aircraft investigation video, MES has run way 2,900 meter ... something forgot to set up on surface control system .. 😢
Trying to take off with noticing the flaps being retracted is like an experienced driver accelerating a car to 90 MPH without realizing the parking brakes were never released.
No take off warning ? perhaps the aural warning CB had been pulled by the crew to stop nuisance warnings during taxy, I witnessed a similar incident in the UK, fortunately the crew had a long runway and deployed the slats/flaps in time, the engine sound was tremendous as the first action was to apply more power, The 737 then took off like a rocket once the slats/flaps were out ! The aural warning cb had been pulled. CB= circuit breaker., what use is a check list if its not used !
I have been watching your documentaries for years. I, really enjoy it. However, always and always, aircraft accidents are due to captain and his crew, control tower, repair technicians, poor maintenance, … but never ever the manufacturer.
“Aircraft manufacturers are never at fault for accidents” is completely wrong, close minded and sounds like something airplane manufacturers would say (to cover their butts). Pilots have a huge role to play obviously, but if their plane is sabotaged they could be the best pilot in the world but your plane is still in trouble (yes, due to a catastrophic failure of the plane itself) and probably going down fast. 🤷🏻♀️ Very narrow-minded of you which gives you away because no one should ever blindly defend those corrupt, greedy, selfish manufacturers. Just, wow! 😳
as usual arrogant ego driven inexperienced pilots F'd up and killed a bunch of people and wrecked a great plane. IF they flew in and out each day on a short runway you would have thought they would be damn sure the flaps and slats were PROPERLY set !!!!!
I don't know who is narrating these MPC videos but they need to learn that the aircraft HAS ACCRUED 51,599 total flight hours, not "accrues 51,599....." stupid AI wording I bet.
Your channel is a gem. Watching all videos back-to-back!
Great channel.Noticed the 737 in the video had the gravel kit fitted.
Was quite common no flaps take off, as always, great job, I enjoyed so much as the rest of your simulations.
Oh i remember this one... One of the 15 classic videos
Your videos are very informative 👍

in 2008 there was the Madrid crash of Spanair flight 5022, it is also almost similar
It is also very similar to LAPA flight 3142
This channel should have millions of views. Am obsessed
Thanks! Help me get there by sharing :)
The spanish version have half millions of subscribers! www.youtube.com/@MauricioPCZ

Good video
Was the aircraft repaired and returned to service?
I can't find an explanation, excuse on how someone could forget flaps...
Haven’t seen the cause yet, but seems like to fast of a rotation and the compressors stalled. Could be wrong.
Complacency.
Can you do the crash of jenni Rivera plz
he did it in Spanish ruclips.net/video/_1fefxHFjwY/видео.html
