great video, was looking for something like this. worth also noting that rather than going to 40/40 or 80, if you hit the softcap instead, so 45/45 or 80, the golden order and dragon communion seal pull ahead to the top since there were missing a whole 10 points of stats while the other seals were already at their softcap in the 40/40 or 80 comparison

Something I noticed with my Dragon Bleed Samurai build is that Blood Oath spells scale way better with the Dragon Communion Seal due to the S scaling with Arcane. So despite it buffing specifically Dragon Communion spells, it also buffs anything with an Arcane Requirement. This might be obvious for some, but i see a lot of people using Blood Oath with Godslayer seal or Giants seal (due to most using bloodflame) and complaining that they are not good with out realizing that Arcane scaling is the most important for anything blood related.

Excellent video, man! It's especially great that you explain the math behind seal damage. I'm really enjoying the game-- it's my first Fromsoft game and I'm much more of an explorer than a fighter in terms of gaming, so I've been trying to massively overpower my char so that I can just explore where I want and roll any enemies I happen to run into. To this end I'm doing a hybrid int/faith build (and farming runes at the bird to make it possible). I'm at level 255 and haven't even killed Radahn-- used a wrong warp to get to Nokron and then fought the gargs to get to Deeproot Depths for the Prince of Death Staff. Anyway, I currently have 80/80 Faith/Int and a +9 golden order seal-- I keep the Dragon Communion in off-hand for the bonus on dragon spells. I have the Prince of Death Staff at +17. Used your wrong-warp to get to the capitol and also that end-game tornado area for the ancient dragon lightning spells and the nearby bell bearing; now hunting for +6 smithing stones to keep improving the PoD staff. I realize that I may have to fight my way into the snowy giant area for enough smithing stones to get the staff up higher than 18 or 19. Current plans: kill that boss at the capitol for my fourth talisman slot-- hunt up more smithing stone 6s in the capitol, collect the lightning talisman that you show in your other video-- I'll prolly do the last one tonight; it will be interesting to see how Litany of Proper Death hits the skellies in that dungeon. My only concern is that my wrong warps might have damaged some quest lines, but I've mainly focused on going straight to powerful items for the build, leaving exploration and interactions in those areas for later, so I'm guessing most quests are ok. I've done Ranni's quest up to killing Radahn-- I'm wondering if I'll be able to one-shot him when I get around to fighting him! So far, though, I haven't had too much luck with the ancient dragon lightning spell as too many bolts seem to miss, but I haven't tried them on a boss his size. Anyway, your videos have been the *most* helpful I've seen on RUclips for quickly overpowering my char to make exploring safe and easy. I've only been playing for a couple of weeks, a few hours an evening, with occasional big binges.

Hey Titus, In your new game+ section I think you forgot about a possibility that is available to players. Don't you get the effect of the boost from your offhand even if you use your main hand to cast? So you can have 2 of the same seal 1 in each hand, and you shouldn't even need to level the offhand seal cuz you just want the bonus. I also have a question on the math, would the Giant's seal be 307 x 1.4 in that case or 307 x 1.2 x 1.2? either way I think in that specific case one matches the golden order seal and one surpasses it so it would be a good investment to go for in ng+. I would love a short follow up vid on that if possible! Great content.
Man I love when people like you come to the channel lol. Very smart idea, but here is why I didn't include it so you know. The highest multiplier from a passive on a seal Is 20 percent, but that passive is only for those specific incantations. The Jelllyfish shield provides a buff for 20 percent to all damage. So realistically, you get more benefit from that in your offhand. However, If you find yourself using all giants or all dragon cult incants for example, it may be more convenient not having the extra weight or having to use the jellyfish skill I guess. And to answer your question, the math would be 1.2 x 1.2 x 307 in that situation. That is why the buffs are so powerful in this game, its all multiplicative damage not additive. they have identical scaling in each, so for a mostly str build, go 50 str 30 faith, for a pure hybrid go 40/40. but anything under the 50 softcap, you will see identical numbers no matter how you split it

I’ve been using the dragon communion seal since i have about 65 arcane on my build, but I heard the seal was nerfed, and I have noticed a difference and seems weaker than before. Do you think it’s still the best option considering my high arcane or is there a better option?

The Dragon seal nerf hurt me bad its my highest level gear, but I couldn't beat a real tough summon (endgame one) until I changed into magic.
I wish you had considered the max inc scaling for every seals soft cap. It would yield different results bc hybrids would need 90 pts (45/45) instead of the standard 80. that would be a more practical comparison when you consider a lot of people are staying at lvl150 (assume they wouldn’t want diminishing returns). Would a golden order at soft cap do more than erdtree at soft cap? I could test this myself, but I simply don’t have the time. I appreciate the effort because quality info like this is scarce.
I've got you, golden order seal at 45/45 int/faith has an incant scale of 338, that's 90 points into damage stats. At 90 faith, the erdtree seal has 360 incant scale, and with 10 less stats, at 80 faith, the erdtree has 353 incant scale. So even with 10 less available stat points the erdtree is still better man. Hope this helps.
With 80 faith I think the best seal combination would be erdtree seal for the scaling and the seal that boosts the incantation type you are using in your offhand because you still get the bonus, so for example you get better damage with lightning incantation if you use erdtree + gravel in the offhand rather than just using gravel seal
Thanks for the deep dive into hard damage numbers. I was curious if you had to opportunity to test bleed build up with the Erdtree seal (80 Faith) VS the Dragon communion seal (45 faith/45 arcane or whatever is better). Does the arcane scaling on the seal affect blood loss buildup from the blood incants in the game? What about the scarlet rot or poison build up for the other available incants?

@@TitusActualGaming Using what I had available to me, blood flies does seem to cause blood loss faster with the arcane seal equipped and casting with the said seal. One cast of flies caused blood loss on the troll near the secluded cell grace point vs Erdtree seal's 2 casts. I don't have pvp friends to test this out on to see the blood loss meter go up faster or not. That might be the best proof
If I really only use rotten breath, occasionally lightning spear, which seal should I use? Also, because I only really use rotten breath, should I change to a 40/40 faith arcane, or go with an 80 faith. Love the content
Hmm what are your current stats? If the stat doesn’t matter for your other weapons, and you primarily use rotten breath. I would go dragon communion with 30 faith and 50 arcane. That would be max damage for you on your dragon incants like rotten breath and huge bleed incant damage too so check out swarm of flies if you go that route!

I ask because I was having fun with my blood build until Malenia so I switched my build around to see if I could kill her with incantation but due to this video I am assuming I could spec back into my bleed build and upgrade my dragon seal to get almost the same damage as with high faith build with the correct seal for faith scaling?

I can't believe you didn't include DUAL SEALS. Cast with highest Incant scaling seal, and in the other hand hold the seal that buff your relative skills, buffing seal doesn't need to be leveled
I can’t believe you would think that I would over look that. The jellyfish shield is much better as it provides 20% to all damage. Not just that particular school of incantations

wall of text ahead im running a dragon faith build but not sure which seal to decide on since i used both incantation types but only have 1 dragon communion incant (magic breath) since i dont throw those out as often and currently trying out the gravelstone since i use lighting spear/honed bolt more often but having access to power moves like greyoll's roar and rot breath is what's making me reconsider. while i had the dragon seal i was 80 faith 40 arcane (and 40 Dex + radagon icon for maximized cast speed) but when i swapped to gravelstone i went 80 fth 40 strength instead since it has D scaling im thinking of keeping this since i mainly use magma blade, coded sword and a couple of other faith scaling weapons that also have a little strength and dex scaling. if youre still answering questions, what do you think would be a better choice? also sorry in advance if i forgot to mention/mistyped something
I tank everything then unleash dragon, kinda cheap but screw it I like cheap. Plus spent hours farming the giant dying dragon so I was offensively over leveled for Margaret
I think the passive effects enhances Giants/Lightning... incantations different from enhances incant scaling. Meaning it increases the spell's damage, not the seal scaling
It is actually all the same because the seal scaling is the number that gets multiplied by the spells multiplier to get the damage ,then all the other multipliers are added, but the way that the order of operations works, 15% more damage to the seal scaling score is the same as multiplying in the 15% later with all the other stuff like talismans
@@TitusActualGaming E.g - Gravel stone seal (80 points) has 318 incant scaling - Spell damage: 500 The math: (318*1.15) + 500 = 865.7 and 318 + (500*1.15) = 893 It's not the same Do i understand right?
But what if you use erdtree seal for casting while holding for example a gravel stone seal in off hand? Would you get the bonus for lightning spells from gravel stone seal? Or you could weild two gravel stone seals for even more damage?
If the scaling of your erdtree seal make up for the bonus of a second gravel stone seal then yea you can use Erdtree seal on main hand and Gravel Stone on off hand. You can test this out by having one maxed out Gravel stone paired with a normal Gravel stone and maxed out erdtree seal paired with a normal Gravel Stone seal and cast a lightning incantation to see whether it's better or not.
gravel stone is 15% for only dragon cult incants, jellyfish is 20% for all damage, that is the best off hand you can have. But to answer your question, yes, you get 15% more damage if holding the gravel stone in your offhand while using the erdtree seal.
You can also use erdtree seal with one of these seals in your offhand or dual wield the best seal for your build if you're going into ng+ or were able to trade from a friend. Especially as a pure caster because you don't really need anything else in your offhand except maybe a shield. The passive effect stacks multiplicatively so dual gravel stone seals will give you a 32% damage increase while the giant's seals will net a 44% increase. Another thing. Under 69 faith the godslayer seal actually outperforms the erdtree seal for pure faith scaling but of course it takes regular smithing stones to upgrade which is harder to rush at the start of the game than a +9 somber upgrade like the erdtree seal and if you plan to be a pure faith caster you will go over 69 faith anyway. Lastly, I guess you can just use the jellyfish shield however I haven't tested this. Can you use the jellyfish shield ability and then swap back to your seal for the passive damage boost or do you need the jellyfish shield equipped to keep the effect active? [Edit: Tested now and yes, you do need jellyfish shield to be equipped to keep the effect.]
I like the jellyfish shield, you cannot swap it to a seal or you lose the 20% buff, and it it so much more practical than dual seals, the highest buff from a seal is 20% only to that seal's school of incantations, the shield doesn't need any smithing stones and applies that 20% to ALL incantations. It is a lot more practical than leveling 2 of every seal and never having to swap your offhand. however with low strength, dual seals is a great idea, As for the godslayer thing, I checked and at 22 str and 69 faith, the erdtree seal has and incantation scale of 309 and the godslayer seal is only 308. are you sure both seals are completely maxed at lvl 10/25 for your testing and you didn't accidentally leave the erdtree at +9 or something? great comment though man I hope to see more input from you around the channel!!
@@TitusActualGaming My bad, it's at 69 faith that erdtree seal overtakes godslayer not over 69. At 68 faith and under godslayer is better. I wasn't clear with my wording. Also, do you have to level the offhand seal for the passive bonus? Random thought because of this but it would be cool if you could power stance seals and have some effect on your casts.
One thing i would like to know, ive checked youtube loads of times but i still havnt found a vid detailing it. I want to know which would be best to use on a particular weapon to take advantage of a bosses elemental weakness, do i split my damage by changing the weapon affinity or do i use a high scaling seal and use the spell equivalent to add the element to the weapon and at what point if any would the weapon affinity overtake the power of the added damage from the spell equivalent. I tried the fire affinty on +23 spiked ceastus for margit since hes weak to fire and with no stat investment (wretch) it had 140ish split. Would i be better off taking a seal and using the spell equivalent and if so which would be the best. I play on xbox so i cant zip across the mountain top, i can wrong warp to capital and crumbling so a i can take 1 smith weapon (or seal) to +23 and i think 2 somber weapons to +9 without fighting any bosses. Hope you have the time for this, Would love for you to do it in similar fashion to this guide since i dont think its ever been done, not that ive found. true min max would be 50/30 ish from the testing I saw, and that should be min maxed with the 50 softcap on arcane. but it is very similar damage, 50/30 is 323 and 40/40 is 315. Good observation though. Sometimes when doing a 30 minute video with that much content, I forget to really tweak something like this to the max.
Question: if I prefer to hold 2 seals instead of using jellyfish shield (for saving fp and less rebuffing sake), and I plan to be at 80 Faith & 80 Arcane.. using mainly fire incantations… is it stronger holding 2 Giants Seals for the double 20% bonuses or holding 2 Dragon Communion Seals? I understand the scaling makes Dragon Communion best with that many stats against a single Giants Seal, but would dual wielding Dragon Communion Seals even add any benefit to my fire skills? Or in this case would I use one Dragon Seal leveled for the scaling and off hand one Giants Seal for an added 20% ?
Remember you can get the passive buffs if you have two seals in each hand, e.g. I have a hybrid build so I use the golden order seal in my right hand, then have a Gravel stone seal in my left. This gives me the highest base scaling + the passive of dragon cult spells

with the current states frenzied flame seal is your best best best from the dex scaling. if you push faith up to 80 then absolutely for lightning go gravel stone, otherwise for all around erdtree is great.

So if lets say you had low faith and only really use the Seal for self heals and buffs(Like Great Heal and Blessing's Boom and Barrier of Gold)...I would just want something with a High Scaling in Faith?
It's the highest scaling, I would recommend using a +10 Erdtree Seal with 80 faith, and just use the seal in your off hand for a damage boost, for example if you are using dragon lightning use erdtree and hold the gravel stone in off hand for additional 15% boost having it equipped, and be sure that you are casting with the erdtree.
So if i want to use only Dragon communion spells Like claw,maw,ICE breath i should use the Dragon Seal Whit 45/45 or 45/70 Arc/Fatih or can i use erdtree Whit 80 Fatih? And off Hand Dragon Seal

@@TitusActualGaming So basically bigger the number the better in the case of int/faith, I was just questioning the same thing because I’ve been using the Pod staff in my left with the Golden order seal in my right set up and it seems like basically where just focusing on the bigger the scaling number the better the damage even with the passive effects that other seals may offer, such as bonuses to certain incantation elements it seems like if the scaling it self is high enough the bonus “buffs” still can’t compete with the over all number scaling of the seal, now what I couldn’t really get over was, regardless of the scaling the seal it self was it still worth running out side of the “theme” because the pod staff requires int/faith and then the golden seal has points in both int/faith but it’s not like either can swap between the spells of using both sorcery and incantations so I was just trying to figure out the point in set equipment like seals and staffs that have their own respective magic, but can be classified in another but you know can’t use both lol. So let’s say even if you were primarily using lightning incans with a int/faith set up would you still recommend the golden order just off the sheer number scaling of it. ?

Most of the time the Erdtree Seal is going to be your best bet if you invest heavily into Faith (around 80), but I think FROM did a good job with providing bonuses for specialized builds with various stats. The Clawmark was a really interesting development that has been better than I expected, particularly the hp regen and rock toss incantations, which is the closest approximation to something like lightning strike or black flame I'm severely wounding or even killing with one shot at good range despite only having 15 Faith (most scaling coming from 50 STR). The Gravel Stone and Fire Giant seals are found way too late in the game unfortunately but could have their purpose in a specialized build for lightning or fire/ pyromancy. I was kind of pissed I only got a couple days worth of use from maxing the Gravel Stone Seal before the Erdtree Seal had already surpassed it as I moved towards 80 Faith.
I really don't understand faith but I'm trying to. I'm a str/dex/faith build using blasphemous blade...using golden vow and flame Grant me strength. What seal would be better? Giant's or clawmark?

Soo I'm a 80 faith build with the rest of my stats being in the 40's at level 220 as of right now. I've been using the Erdtree seal but don't know if it's worth switching?
I would think gravel or giants seal for those particular incantations. I can do the math but also frenzy scales off 4 stats so that might be decent as well. With 80 faith you’re always going to be really well off with the erdtree though.

So far, though, I haven't had too much luck with the ancient dragon lightning spell as too many bolts seem to miss, but I haven't tried them on a boss his size.
Anyway, your videos have been the *most* helpful I've seen on RUclips for quickly overpowering my char to make exploring safe and easy. I've only been playing for a couple of weeks, a few hours an evening, with occasional big binges.

Hey Titus, In your new game+ section I think you forgot about a possibility that is available to players. Don't you get the effect of the boost from your offhand even if you use your main hand to cast? So you can have 2 of the same seal 1 in each hand, and you shouldn't even need to level the offhand seal cuz you just want the bonus. I also have a question on the math, would the Giant's seal be 307 x 1.4 in that case or 307 x 1.2 x 1.2? either way I think in that specific case one matches the golden order seal and one surpasses it so it would be a good investment to go for in ng+.

Man I love when people like you come to the channel lol. Very smart idea, but here is why I didn't include it so you know. The highest multiplier from a passive on a seal Is 20 percent, but that passive is only for those specific incantations. The Jelllyfish shield provides a buff for 20 percent to all damage. So realistically, you get more benefit from that in your offhand. However, If you find yourself using all giants or all dragon cult incants for example, it may be more convenient not having the extra weight or having to use the jellyfish skill I guess. And to answer your question, the math would be 1.2 x 1.2 x 307 in that situation. That is why the buffs are so powerful in this game, its all multiplicative damage not additive. they have identical scaling in each, so for a mostly str build, go 50 str 30 faith, for a pure hybrid go 40/40. but anything under the 50 softcap, you will see identical numbers no matter how you split it

I’ve been using the dragon communion seal since i have about 65 arcane on my build, but I heard the seal was nerfed, and I have noticed a difference and seems weaker than before. Do you think it’s still the best option considering my high arcane or is there a better option?

@@masanchez34 Totally agree & love it, I actually just speced into magic for a bit of fun there loving Dark moon sword and the spells but after I finish the blood area I plan to go back to Faith here. The Dragon seal nerf hurt me bad its my highest level gear, but I couldn't beat a real tough summon (endgame one) until I changed into magic.
I wish you had considered the max inc scaling for every seals soft cap. It would yield different results bc hybrids would need 90 pts (45/45) instead of the standard 80. that would be a more practical comparison when you consider a lot of people are staying at lvl150 (assume they wouldn’t want diminishing returns). Would a golden order at soft cap do more than erdtree at soft cap? I could test this myself, but I simply don’t have the time. I appreciate the effort because quality info like this is scarce.
I've got you, golden order seal at 45/45 int/faith has an incant scale of 338, that's 90 points into damage stats. At 90 faith, the erdtree seal has 360 incant scale, and with 10 less stats, at 80 faith, the erdtree has 353 incant scale. So even with 10 less available stat points the erdtree is still better man. Hope this helps.

With 80 faith I think the best seal combination would be erdtree seal for the scaling and the seal that boosts the incantation type you are using in your offhand because you still get the bonus, so for example you get better damage with lightning incantation if you use erdtree + gravel in the offhand rather than just using gravel seal
for dragon incantations max damage would be gravel stone and jellyfish shield. for convenience I often run the erdtree with gravel offhand though
Thanks for the deep dive into hard damage numbers. I was curious if you had to opportunity to test bleed build up with the Erdtree seal (80 Faith) VS the Dragon communion seal (45 faith/45 arcane or whatever is better). Does the arcane scaling on the seal affect blood loss buildup from the blood incants in the game? What about the scarlet rot or poison build up for the other available incants?

@@TitusActualGaming Using what I had available to me, blood flies does seem to cause blood loss faster with the arcane seal equipped and casting with the said seal. One cast of flies caused blood loss on the troll near the secluded cell grace point vs Erdtree seal's 2 casts. I don't have pvp friends to test this out on to see the blood loss meter go up faster or not. That might be the best proof

If I really only use rotten breath, occasionally lightning spear, which seal should I use? Also, because I only really use rotten breath, should I change to a 40/40 faith arcane, or go with an 80 faith. Love the content
Hmm what are your current stats? If the stat doesn’t matter for your other weapons, and you primarily use rotten breath. I would go dragon communion with 30 faith and 50 arcane. That would be max damage for you on your dragon incants like rotten breath and huge bleed incant damage too so check out swarm of flies if you go that route!

I ask because I was having fun with my blood build until Malenia so I switched my build around to see if I could kill her with incantation but due to this video I am assuming I could spec back into my bleed build and upgrade my dragon seal to get almost the same damage as with high faith build with the correct seal for faith scaling?

Cast with highest Incant scaling seal, and in the other hand hold the seal that buff your relative skills, buffing seal doesn't need to be leveled

im running a dragon faith build but not sure which seal to decide on since i used both incantation types but only have 1 dragon communion incant (magic breath) since i dont throw those out as often and currently trying out the gravelstone since i use lighting spear/honed bolt more often but having access to power moves like greyoll's roar and rot breath is what's making me reconsider.
while i had the dragon seal i was 80 faith 40 arcane (and 40 Dex + radagon icon for maximized cast speed) but when i swapped to gravelstone i went 80 fth 40 strength instead since it has D scaling
im thinking of keeping this since i mainly use magma blade, coded sword and a couple of other faith scaling weapons that also have a little strength and dex scaling. if youre still answering questions, what do you think would be a better choice?

I think the passive effects enhances Giants/Lightning... incantations different from enhances incant scaling. Meaning it increases the spell's damage, not the seal scaling
It is actually all the same because the seal scaling is the number that gets multiplied by the spells multiplier to get the damage ,then all the other multipliers are added, but the way that the order of operations works, 15% more damage to the seal scaling score is the same as multiplying in the 15% later with all the other stuff like talismans

(318*1.15) + 500 = 865.7

But what if you use erdtree seal for casting while holding for example a gravel stone seal in off hand? Would you get the bonus for lightning spells from gravel stone seal? Or you could weild two gravel stone seals for even more damage?
If the scaling of your erdtree seal make up for the bonus of a second gravel stone seal then yea you can use Erdtree seal on main hand and Gravel Stone on off hand.
You can test this out by having one maxed out Gravel stone paired with a normal Gravel stone and maxed out erdtree seal paired with a normal Gravel Stone seal and cast a lightning incantation to see whether it's better or not.
gravel stone is 15% for only dragon cult incants, jellyfish is 20% for all damage, that is the best off hand you can have. But to answer your question, yes, you get 15% more damage if holding the gravel stone in your offhand while using the erdtree seal.

You can also use erdtree seal with one of these seals in your offhand or dual wield the best seal for your build if you're going into ng+ or were able to trade from a friend. Especially as a pure caster because you don't really need anything else in your offhand except maybe a shield. The passive effect stacks multiplicatively so dual gravel stone seals will give you a 32% damage increase while the giant's seals will net a 44% increase.
Another thing. Under 69 faith the godslayer seal actually outperforms the erdtree seal for pure faith scaling but of course it takes regular smithing stones to upgrade which is harder to rush at the start of the game than a +9 somber upgrade like the erdtree seal and if you plan to be a pure faith caster you will go over 69 faith anyway.
Lastly, I guess you can just use the jellyfish shield however I haven't tested this. Can you use the jellyfish shield ability and then swap back to your seal for the passive damage boost or do you need the jellyfish shield equipped to keep the effect active? [Edit: Tested now and yes, you do need jellyfish shield to be equipped to keep the effect.]
I like the jellyfish shield, you cannot swap it to a seal or you lose the 20% buff, and it it so much more practical than dual seals, the highest buff from a seal is 20% only to that seal's school of incantations, the shield doesn't need any smithing stones and applies that 20% to ALL incantations. It is a lot more practical than leveling 2 of every seal and never having to swap your offhand. however with low strength, dual seals is a great idea, As for the godslayer thing, I checked and at 22 str and 69 faith, the erdtree seal has and incantation scale of 309 and the godslayer seal is only 308. are you sure both seals are completely maxed at lvl 10/25 for your testing and you didn't accidentally leave the erdtree at +9 or something? great comment though man I hope to see more input from you around the channel!!
@@TitusActualGaming My bad, it's at 69 faith that erdtree seal overtakes godslayer not over 69. At 68 faith and under godslayer is better. I wasn't clear with my wording. Also, do you have to level the offhand seal for the passive bonus? Random thought because of this but it would be cool if you could power stance seals and have some effect on your casts.
One thing i would like to know, ive checked youtube loads of times but i still havnt found a vid detailing it. I want to know which would be best to use on a particular weapon to take advantage of a bosses elemental weakness, do i split my damage by changing the weapon affinity or do i use a high scaling seal and use the spell equivalent to add the element to the weapon and at what point if any would the weapon affinity overtake the power of the added damage from the spell equivalent. I tried the fire affinty on +23 spiked ceastus for margit since hes weak to fire and with no stat investment (wretch) it had 140ish split. Would i be better off taking a seal and using the spell equivalent and if so which would be the best. I play on xbox so i cant zip across the mountain top, i can wrong warp to capital and crumbling so a i can take 1 smith weapon (or seal) to +23 and i think 2 somber weapons to +9 without fighting any bosses. Hope you have the time for this, Would love for you to do it in similar fashion to this guide since i dont think its ever been done, not that ive found. wouldnt it be better to offset split stats for scaling like the dragon communion is B - Faith and S - Arcane so wouldnt a 20/60 work better?
true min max would be 50/30 ish from the testing I saw, and that should be min maxed with the 50 softcap on arcane. but it is very similar damage, 50/30 is 323 and 40/40 is 315. Good observation though. Sometimes when doing a 30 minute video with that much content, I forget to really tweak something like this to the max.
Question: if I prefer to hold 2 seals instead of using jellyfish shield (for saving fp and less rebuffing sake), and I plan to be at 80 Faith & 80 Arcane.. using mainly fire incantations… is it stronger holding 2 Giants Seals for the double 20% bonuses or holding 2 Dragon Communion Seals?
I understand the scaling makes Dragon Communion best with that many stats against a single Giants Seal, but would dual wielding Dragon Communion Seals even add any benefit to my fire skills? Remember you can get the passive buffs if you have two seals in each hand, e.g. I have a hybrid build so I use the golden order seal in my right hand, then have a Gravel stone seal in my left. This gives me the highest base scaling + the passive of dragon cult spells

I mainly will use dragon cult incantations and maybe alongside 1-3 different ones. I was thinking that for now the Gravel stone seal would be better and at 60 faith/80 faith the erdtree seal would be better. What do you think would be the better choice?
with the current states frenzied flame seal is your best best best from the dex scaling. if you push faith up to 80 then absolutely for lightning go gravel stone, otherwise for all around erdtree is great.

It's the highest scaling, I would recommend using a +10 Erdtree Seal with 80 faith, and just use the seal in your off hand for a damage boost, for example if you are using dragon lightning use erdtree and hold the gravel stone in off hand for additional 15% boost having it equipped, and be sure that you are casting with the erdtree.

erdtree is the best earlier, gravel need to be lvl 20+ to compete with an erdtree +9, and you cant even get that until reaching the mountaintops after killing the bosses in capital...

@@TitusActualGaming So basically bigger the number the better in the case of int/faith, I was just questioning the same thing because I’ve been using the Pod staff in my left with the Golden order seal in my right set up and it seems like basically where just focusing on the bigger the scaling number the better the damage even with the passive effects that other seals may offer, such as bonuses to certain incantation elements it seems like if the scaling it self is high enough the bonus “buffs” still can’t compete with the over all number scaling of the seal, now what I couldn’t really get over was, regardless of the scaling the seal it self was it still worth running out side of the “theme” because the pod staff requires int/faith and then the golden seal has points in both int/faith but it’s not like either can swap between the spells of using both sorcery and incantations so I was just trying to figure out the point in set equipment like seals and staffs that have their own respective magic, but can be classified in another but you know can’t use both lol. So let’s say even if you were primarily using lightning incans with a int/faith set up would you still recommend the golden order just off the sheer number scaling of it. ?

Most of the time the Erdtree Seal is going to be your best bet if you invest heavily into Faith (around 80), but I think FROM did a good job with providing bonuses for specialized builds with various stats. The Clawmark was a really interesting development that has been better than I expected, particularly the hp regen and rock toss incantations, which is the closest approximation to something like lightning strike or black flame I'm severely wounding or even killing with one shot at good range despite only having 15 Faith (most scaling coming from 50 STR). The Gravel Stone and Fire Giant seals are found way too late in the game unfortunately but could have their purpose in a specialized build for lightning or fire/ pyromancy. I was kind of pissed I only got a couple days worth of use from maxing the Gravel Stone Seal before the Erdtree Seal had already surpassed it as I moved towards 80 Faith.
The gravel stone seal is found in Leyndell and you can rush it before fighting Margit or Godrick.

Soo I'm a 80 faith build with the rest of my stats being in the 40's at level 220 as of right now. I've been using the Erdtree seal but don't know if it's worth switching?
Also the only stats that I have put nothing into is Arcane and Intelligence as they are both sitting at 10 right now
I would think gravel or giants seal for those particular incantations. I can do the math but also frenzy scales off 4 stats so that might be decent as well. With 80 faith you’re always going to be really well off with the erdtree though.
