Oooh true. I saw some people talki about their assistants and what they did in the art. Hopefully I didn’t cover anything that was heavily drawn by an assistant 😛
Assistants are usually only brought in later into the existence of a manga when the mangaka is slowing down either due to health issues(which most of them face) or creative struggles. Still, the assistants are trained by the mangaka themselves to match their style as perfectly as possible. Miura has trained two assistans only in the last 3 years or so for Berserk because otherwise he was never going to finish it. The man has been drawing Berserk for 29 years and he still said it took him a lot of time to train his assistants to draw as close to him as possible(and they only work on backgrounds, by the way).
Ok I know mangaka can draw very good and all, but I think some people forgot that mangaka have assistant. And usually assistant is the one who put efforts for the background. Not saying this applies to all manga, but mostly it's the case.

The manga adaptation’s artist is clearly on the same level as Miura’s _Berserk_ & _Akira_ You could say _One Piece_ because everything is so clear & distinct from one another and so consistently detailed and fresh & pleasing to look at : Oda did this for *TWENTY-TWO* years, starting when the animation style really kicked in at ~Ch.150-200 - Idk, I had that feeling by then that it changed significantly since the beginning, but it was a while ago -, and with ALMOST no breaks (www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/8k7ebi/comment/dz5j27z)

Please react to Mori Kaoru's Otoyomegatari! The level of detail and attention to history in that series blows me away every time and she manages to make the most simple objects GORGEOUS
Thanks for giving the right context of Yoshihiro Togashi's art work. He's amazing. yeah, sometimes due his illness he draw bad rendered drawings but he really maintains his writing quality.
I love the One Piece art style honestly, it's cartoony and not very detailed but theres such a sense of energy in the character design and movement even though they are unbearably simple, but yeah better story teller i agree with the other guy
Indeed! People underestimate OP manga art so damn much. Waving it off with dumb reasons like "it's to cartoonish". Just look at Ryuuguu Palace. It's so detailed plus this is a WEEKLY manga. People need to give Oda much more credit for his hard work.

Just wanted to say I've been slowly getting better at my art skills over my life, doing 2 years at art & design college and I think I've learned more about compersition, framing and colour from your videos! Thank you so much for these informative & inspiring videos! 😀
I love how Studio Bones did not shy away from using ONE's character models for Mob Psycho 100, they are really easy on the eyes and fit the kind of stories the author is telling.
This is great! I can't believe I'm just finding your channel now! I would love to see you delve into the art of Eichirou Oda, the Mangaka of One Piece. A lot of people I've talked to have told me that they can't get into One Piece because of Oda's cartoonish anatomy etc, but he creates such beautiful composition. His art has real movement and feel, and even his background characters have well thought out and interesting (if not a little weird and silly) designs! I mean, he puts SO much thought into his character designs. Like in one of the very first arcs, our villain can often be seen pushing up his glasses awkwardly with the palm of his hand by his wrists, but it isn't until we see his gloves that have claws on each finger that we realize that he pushes up his glasses like that with them on so he doesn't accidentally shank his face! It's really worth looking at
What I took away from ONE’s work is that you shouldn’t wait until you think you’re good enough, just start and you’ll get better with time and effort. Even though I’m still learning animation and anatomy, I have some experience with drawing manga so I can start with that and learn along the way. Thank you so much for making this video! 🙂🙏🏾
You should check out Nagabe's work, especially The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún (aka Totsukuni no Shoujo), you'll love the heavy use of contrasting black and white and the use of negative space.
Kubo Tite has a great character work in the late stages of Bleach. Masashi Kishimoto has an absurd composition for environment in naruto too. The rain village was outstanding. Another great manga artist is Hiromu Arakawa, and her most notable work is Fullmetal Alchemist.
I dunno why but I love their backgrounds but dislike their characters design. I mean there are not wrong, but characters like Yugo just don't have a nice design for me.
Please review ONE's artwork in mob psycho 100, in that series you can REALLY see how amazing ONE actually is as an artist, he is so amazing at paneling its incredible
@@PopCross I said this in the previous video aswell but could you compare his early and current art on his current work. He has such noticable improvments and his style becoming distinctive over time.
If you end up doing a second part I would love if you took a look at the work of one of my all time favourite mangaka Haruko Ichikawa! She is the writer and illustrator of Land of the Lustrous/Houseki no Kuni.
Ishida Sui would be an interesting manga artist to look at, his art is beautiful and he redrew the first chapter of his manga ‘Tokyo Ghoul’ a few years after the first version, so his growth as an artist is also very visible :)
10:41 - 13:30 I really appreciate this segment. I’m wanting to become a comic book artist at some point but there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t understand or have never even heard about, like composition. You’re quick explanation of composition really helps out, and you explained it very simply so it wasn’t intimidating or hard to grasp. So thanks for the quick lesson here, it really helps out!
i remember reading gon in 2001 when i was like 5 year old and at that time the quality of the drawing really shocked me. because i was used to cartoony design like asterix and tintin but i couldn't imagine something as photorealist as gon.And nearly 20 years later, i still think that manga that come close in drawing to gon can be count on 2 hand.
Actually Katsuhiro Otomo had assistant Satoshi Takabatake to handle those background artworks. I found out recently when Takabatak's art book was published.
i have... never thought of composition like that :o i especially loved the part where you simplified the drawings into shapes, man, this series is teaching me so much about art, you have no idea how much i'm loving it!!!
man, love this series. I know my way around manga artists well enough so this one was a blast, but the other vids have really taught me a lot about western comic artists who I know pretty much nothing about! Also love that you keep it positive. Even the "bad" stuff isn't just, you know, bad. anyway, highly recommend looking at Suehiro Maruo, my fav artist of all time! Very dark works, but he has a style all his own and some of the most wild page layouts and image compositions out there
This video is making me want to read the entire Hunter X Hunter manga. I picked up where the anime left off and that double page spread of the Dark Continent is breathtaking.
And to this day it still baffles me that Togashi drew that without any assistant. He does all of his art by himself and has been refusing for years to have anyone help him.
I really enjoy the message here - especially with One Punch. So many artist channels kind of beat it into you that you have to be "super good" to matter. Better, be earnest and authentic - create something that resonates with people despite your skill level.
You definitely need to look at more of Hirohiko Araki’s work. His evolution from when he began Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure to now is incredible. Would love to see your opinions on the poses he creates for his characters.
You should do an "Illustrator reacts to Good and Bad Animations" Cause even when they aren't comics, I feel than you can still criticize a lot of the art, colors, movement, framing, etc...
I really liked this video and how you showed a lot of respect for other artist's illustrations. Also Katsuhiro Otomo's work is amazing, it was a glad surprise you covered him, and even mentioned his new movie! Its pretty cool to see you know so much about these artists, and that you can give better explanations as why a work didn't come out so well.
What makes this video so great is that is teaching me that, I don’t need a professional drawing skills to make a great comic, just by looking at One webcomic I was completely stunned how weird it was comparing to the anime, and still it got the attention people deserve, by making a good storyline, it captures the audience attention in their head, and the art style may be a little quirky, but it also got the essence of the story itself. This gives so much confidence in me now that I can make my own webcomics.
I've learned more about compersition, framing and colour scheme from your videos than I did at 2 years of art & design college! Thank you for these informative and inspiring videos 😀
Three artists I would LOVE for you to react to are Georges Bess (from The White Lama), Mukesh Singh (from 18 Days), and Kim Jung Gi. All mind blowing artists. Great content as usual!
Two mangaka that have amazed me with their progress over the years are Hirohiko Araki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) as well as Tite Kubo (Bleach). It's been really interesting to hear your thoughts on them! Also, another incredible artist worth checking out is so-bin (Overlord)
This was a great video :) I knew most of the artists you mentioned but that last manga series you looked at the one with no dialogue looks really interesting!
Even though his art style is hated, Eiichiro Odas work on "One Piece" is in my opinion some of the most dynamic, expressive, colorful and breathtaking art ive seen in manga. In an industry where perfect anatomy is preferred, he stands out by making the most simplistic yet super stylized character designs and environments. literally everything he does is Aesthetic and I would call him a genius artist.
@@Reydriel big emphasiz on the "understood" part. Some people just cannot see the beauty of Odas art style. It oozes creativity and wonder every page and while other mangas have conventionally better artwork (realistic proportions, life like environments) I feel that odas art is the most interesting and engaging because you cant see it anywhere else.
I'd love if you looked at Kohei Horikoshi's artwork, I personally really enjoy it and btw he's the artist of My Hero Academia :) Btw the things I particularly enjoy are: The facial expressions make the characters feel very animated, fights are done amazing in the manga and anime too, the impact feels real, the poses are dynamic and he conveys speed incredibly in my opinion.
While it isn't that interesting, you should still just LOOK at the perfection that is the art in Death Note. I'm just amazed at how amazing the characters in it look. I guess if you review it you could do some of the covers though.
Would you consider an episode centered around page/panel composition or reading flow (don't know the technical term). A lot of art that you've covered (although not in this episode) is cover art and I personally find the actual comic/manga pages so fascinating because they have to connect to one another. The reason I bring this up here is because there are many mangaka who are exceptional at that even though their art may not be exceptional (for example Akira Toriyama or Eiichoro Oda). Especially Oda is one of my favourite artists because of that and the amazing amount of creativity in terms of design.
I've seen all of your comic artist reaction videos, and I really enjoy them! I can't remember if you've looked at George Perez's work yet, but if you haven't I think that would be a cool one to do. He has such a distinct style, and he often incorporates the background in unique ways.
One thing I think is really interesting about ONE as an artist is that, while he doesn't have much in the way of technical skill, he has shown some talents for the less obvious elements of art. Something really noticeable in his other big work, Mob Psycho 100. In there, he has shown a surprising talent for composition. Especially when it comes to creating scale. Added to that, he has times when he's been able to show very competent backgrounds and environments, including the dreaded buildings. Lastly, he's shown some very genuine ability for creating the strange or the disturbing. Some of his panels later in Mob Psycho have been genuinely haunting or disturbing. I think if you ever do an episode about animation, taking a look at Mob Psycho and how it adapts ONE's style would be excellent. And give a chance to potentially talk about how someone can evolve as an artist, even when they start from meager technical skill.
Do Hajime Isayama next, he has improved ridiculously during the attack on titan manga. His art is amazing currently and he has a really unique style worth discussing. Also Eiichiro Oda, his series is the most popular for a reason, he draws comics like a boss.
when this dude said i hate drawing buildings i felt that, i normally will just put huge publicitary spots or screens to not have to drawt those damn windows
7:46 - 9:29 I found your words every inspirational and I as many other do feel like my art skills are inadequate and I shouldn't draw what I want to because I'm bad, so thank you for encouraging arts to draw what they love regardless of their skills.
You should check out Inio Asano! He’s the mangaka for Girl on the Shore, Oyasumi PunPun, etc. His art is super beautifully rendered and has a lot of gorgeous scenery and imagery. Oyasumi punpun especially has an amazing blend of semi realism with a really simplistic protag. Super amazing artist, I’d love to see you talk about him ^^
Really wanted to see your analysis on this page of Hunter x Hunter mangabeast.com/manga/Hunter-X-Hunter/0344-013.png It's one of Togashi's finest illustrations.
Ryoichi Ikegami, he did Spider-Man: The Manga. Seeing how his art change is amazing. You can watch how he works (also Junji Ito) from Urasawa Naoki no Manben, a documentary about mangaka and the process of crafting chapters for their current serializations.
Wished he'd talked more about the progress of his art skills during the making of Mob Psycho 100 tho😩 I mean, just comparing the first chapter to the latest ones, he's gotten SO much better at anatomy.
Incredibly informative and didactic video man! Loved it from start to end, also, I really enjoyed the One and Murata part, in my opinion, one of the best storyteller, and one of the best artist out there

The manga adaptation’s artist is clearly on the same level as Miura’s _Berserk_ & _Akira_
You could say _One Piece_ because everything is so clear & distinct from one another and so consistently detailed and fresh & pleasing to look at : Oda did this for *TWENTY-TWO* years, starting when the animation style really kicked in at ~Ch.150-200 - Idk, I had that feeling by then that it changed significantly since the beginning, but it was a while ago -, and with ALMOST no breaks (www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/8k7ebi/comment/dz5j27z)
@@nicholasleclerc1583
hey bro how did you write the name of those manga in italic ?
@@n124ajdx
Oh, well, if you wanna write XXX in italic, so _XXX_ , well you surround XXX with underscores : _ ; i.e. those lines that you could use to underline text, but can't because your keyboard doesn't allow that on laptops or cellphones
You get an underscore by maintaining the "Shift" key down and pressing on the usual negative sign (i.e. "-") key
The underscores on the left and right (one on each side) need to be RIGHT NEXT to the word, NO SPACE between them; and if there's smth else glued RIGHT NEXT to them but even more on the outside, clutching the underscores in a sandwich, then the effect won't work, like here :
_XXX_h

Please react to Mori Kaoru's Otoyomegatari! The level of detail and attention to history in that series blows me away every time and she manages to make the most simple objects GORGEOUS
undergroundsoul94 god she’s so underrated internationally thank you for mentioning her!!!
just a reminder to read Dorohedoro, good ass world building
I am halfway through the story and I love it
The most bizarre, wholesome and bloodiest story ever.
@@iliveinsideyourhouse3943 Moreso than Jojo's Bizarre Adventure?
I love the art in that series, it has so much personality and does a great job at setting a dark atmosphere
Bloodiest story ever? Doroheoro? A shonen? Oh oh, here's a 15 year old who's never read Berserk.
Thanks for giving the right context of Yoshihiro Togashi's art work. He's amazing. yeah, sometimes due his illness he draw bad rendered drawings but he really maintains his writing quality.
One Piece by eiichiro oda. His progress is amazing
He is an example of someone who seems to gave no end to ideas and character designs
Ehn, he's decent... I'd say he's an amazing storyteller
A13X not only that but his art is fantastic! The most Creative I’ve seen
This series made me appreciate comic art a lot more
That’s great!!! 😃😃
PopCross Studios also, could you please talk about Alex Maleev in the future? He’s one of my favourite artists and his daredevil stuff is fantastic
Same. I was never really into comics, but now I think I may check some out. I love the way he explains why the art is good. It makes me interested in seeing more beautiful artwork.
@@drphalanges1520 I mean that's the only thing he's good at, praising others artworks for a living whike his own art being mediocre with a easy noncomplex style
@@livetochange974 I'm not really into bashing other people for no reason but you do you.
I'm really glad you mentioned Togashi's other drawings and his redrawings as well. He shouldn't be judged just on his rushed work.
I kinda hope I get to see Mori Kaoru's art in one of these reacts. She's really good at textiles and animals.
Yessssss Otoyomegatari is amazing
Indeed. Anything that has a pattern, she just goes god mode on the illustration.
Finally! " A Brides Story" needs more love
YES! He has to make a video on her art.
You should do Eichiro Oda (One Piece), many regard him as a bad artist due to his art style, but I think he's amazing
PD: this is the highest amount of likes I've ever gotten on a comment
One Piece has the best paneling of any manga I've read. The way Oda guides your eyes through the pages is incredible.
One Piece has the best simple art I've seen in manga. Rarely any screentoning is needed to tell you what's what and what is where
I like his art style but in the beginning it was bad
@@eisque It wasn't "bad", it was just MORE simplistic. One can't call an art style "bad" unless they can do better.
@@eisque yeah, but that basically applies to every artist, since their art style and technique keeps evolving

Tom Soar that’s so great to hear!!! Thanks so much! 😁😁😁

Holy crap at the Gon art, never would have guessed it would be that amazing!
Wich Gon art?😂
Eiichiro Oda's artwork in One Piece, is really amazing and unique as well!...
It's really worth looking at
"A brides story" is among the most beautiful manga i have ever seen
Yes. It's absolutely stunning.
Illustrator reacts series is an amazing series. KEEP IT UP. 😉👍🏻
Thanks so much! Will do!
You should check out Nagabe's work, especially The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún (aka Totsukuni no Shoujo), you'll love the heavy use of contrasting black and white and the use of negative space.
13:36
“Absolutely fascinating”
I dunno man i never really was a fan of red plaid shir- oh you meant the drawing
You absolutely need to check out Hirohiko Araki, you'd love how much his art has changed over time
Kubo Tite has a great character work in the late stages of Bleach. Masashi Kishimoto has an absurd composition for environment in naruto too. The rain village was outstanding. Another great manga artist is Hiromu Arakawa, and her most notable work is Fullmetal Alchemist.
I recommend the artist from The promised neverland Posuka Demizu they are one of my favorite artist.
The Crystal Heart yes, finally
Crazy how they keep up with a weekly shounen jump schedule and still have the time to post more art on Instagram
I dunno why but I love their backgrounds but dislike their characters design. I mean there are not wrong, but characters like Yugo just don't have a nice design for me.
For an recommendation, I would suggest checking out Kentaro Miura’s art for his magum opus, Berserk. The man is OBSESSED with detail, and it shows.
Please review ONE's artwork in mob psycho 100, in that series you can REALLY see how amazing ONE actually is as an artist, he is so amazing at paneling its incredible
Can you take a look at Kohei Horisoshi's artwork? He's the creator of My Hero Academia
Almost went over it for this episode but couldn’t quite come up with any good talking points in time. But might for a future episode!
@@PopCross I said this in the previous video aswell but could you compare his early and current art on his current work. He has such noticable improvments and his style becoming distinctive over time.
I asked him that once.
@@PopCross if you do review Kohei horikoshi's work please try to avoid works past volume 13. (To avoid spoilers for anime only watchers)
Shut up
If you end up doing a second part I would love if you took a look at the work of one of my all time favourite mangaka Haruko Ichikawa! She is the writer and illustrator of Land of the Lustrous/Houseki no Kuni.
Man, you should see Boichi's art, especially from Sun-ken Rock. For me, he's one of the best along with Katsuhiro Otomo
Cool! Never seen Boichi’s art but lots of people recommending it so I’ll have to check it out!
Boichi is primarily a character artist. His characters really stand out.
Forget dr. Stone, Sunken rock is where it really is
Boichi is really great..
Ishida Sui would be an interesting manga artist to look at, his art is beautiful and he redrew the first chapter of his manga ‘Tokyo Ghoul’ a few years after the first version, so his growth as an artist is also very visible :)
thank you for not shitting on togashi lol he’s usually really great just as you said
10:41 - 13:30 I really appreciate this segment. I’m wanting to become a comic book artist at some point but there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t understand or have never even heard about, like composition. You’re quick explanation of composition really helps out, and you explained it very simply so it wasn’t intimidating or hard to grasp. So thanks for the quick lesson here, it really helps out!
i remember reading gon in 2001 when i was like 5 year old and at that time the quality of the drawing really shocked me. because i was used to cartoony design like asterix and tintin but i couldn't imagine something as photorealist as gon.And nearly 20 years later, i still think that manga that come close in drawing to gon can be count on 2 hand.
berserk- - and?
Actually Katsuhiro Otomo had assistant Satoshi Takabatake to handle those background artworks. I found out recently when Takabatak's art book was published.
Take a look at One's ORIGINAL One Punch Man
Damn, its the second time I comment suggesting an artist you talk about in the same video. Nice
i have... never thought of composition like that :o i especially loved the part where you simplified the drawings into shapes, man, this series is teaching me so much about art, you have no idea how much i'm loving it!!!
Gon was always a favorite of mine, the art is simply stunning. I remember when he was a hidden character in Tekken 3 for the original Playstation.
man, love this series.
Btw read the official viz media traslation, because the unoficcial is completely diffrent and add a bunch of words.
And to this day it still baffles me that Togashi drew that without any assistant. He does all of his art by himself and has been refusing for years to have anyone help him.
I love ONE's art, completely unironically, the way epic things are set up and how well the comedy hits is insane.
should a proper section for kentaro miura, his art is so amazing
I really enjoy the message here - especially with One Punch. So many artist channels kind of beat it into you that you have to be "super good" to matter. Better, be earnest and authentic - create something that resonates with people despite your skill level.
On the topic of One, something he is genuinely good at is getting the feeling in his artwork across
I really loved hearing your thoughtful observations and hearing you articulate what spoke to you about the art you were looking at!
Although ONE is not a skilled illustrator, but man, he has an excellent talent of storyboard/framing what most manga writers would dream of having.
You definitely need to look at more of Hirohiko Araki’s work. His evolution from when he began Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure to now is incredible. Would love to see your opinions on the poses he creates for his characters.
You should do an "Illustrator reacts to Good and Bad Animations"
Cause even when they aren't comics, I feel than you can still criticize a lot of the art, colors, movement, framing, etc...
Yay another illustrator reacts! These are awesome
Wooo! Been a while since I did one too 😛
What makes this video so great is that is teaching me that, I don’t need a professional drawing skills to make a great comic, just by looking at One webcomic I was completely stunned how weird it was comparing to the anime, and still it got the attention people deserve, by making a good storyline, it captures the audience attention in their head, and the art style may be a little quirky, but it also got the essence of the story itself. This gives so much confidence in me now that I can make my own webcomics.
I would love to see some reactions to One Piece, Bleach, and Vinland Saga art.
All 3 are beautiful
I've learned more about compersition, framing and colour scheme from your videos than I did at 2 years of art & design college! Thank you for these informative and inspiring videos 😀
Just a note, the darker patches of color on Togashi's artwork aren't ink washes but screentones
You can use diluted ink as well
Three artists I would LOVE for you to react to are Georges Bess (from The White Lama), Mukesh Singh (from 18 Days), and Kim Jung Gi. All mind blowing artists. Great content as usual!
you HAVE to react to oda artwork (creator of one piece) he's drawing is so good
Two mangaka that have amazed me with their progress over the years are Hirohiko Araki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) as well as Tite Kubo (Bleach). It's been really interesting to hear your thoughts on them! Also, another incredible artist worth checking out is so-bin (Overlord)
you should react to Hajime Iseyama's art, hes the writer and mangaka of Attack On Titan
You should check out Kohei Horikoshi for a part 2. His art is so good the animators for the show know they can't live up to it even with a budget😅

The only epople who "hate" One Piece's artstyle are those who never really read it or understood it lol
@@RadioKnive it looked simple but it's one of the greatest manga RT ever impacted this much the characters are exprrssive and it's dynamic
ONE's improved quite a bit recently in his artwork, and It's really nice to see how he's grown in that department.
I'd love if you looked at Kohei Horikoshi's artwork, I personally really enjoy it and btw he's the artist of My Hero Academia :)
Btw the things I particularly enjoy are: The facial expressions make the characters feel very animated, fights are done amazing in the manga and anime too, the impact feels real, the poses are dynamic and he conveys speed incredibly in my opinion.
@Harnish Patel Lol
COOL! You chose a good variety of manga artist, I'm already looking forward to part 2!
While it isn't that interesting, you should still just LOOK at the perfection that is the art in Death Note. I'm just amazed at how amazing the characters in it look. I guess if you review it you could do some of the covers though.
Do Kaoru Mori!!! I absolutely love the way she draws clothing, it just makes her work much more historically and culturally accurate
Talk about the art of Osamu Tezuka would be interesting
Would you consider an episode centered around page/panel composition or reading flow (don't know the technical term). A lot of art that you've covered (although not in this episode) is cover art and I personally find the actual comic/manga pages so fascinating because they have to connect to one another.
The reason I bring this up here is because there are many mangaka who are exceptional at that even though their art may not be exceptional (for example Akira Toriyama or Eiichoro Oda). Especially Oda is one of my favourite artists because of that and the amazing amount of creativity in terms of design.
Lol from the intro I thought you'd be talking about Eiichiro Oda
I think meant to be disrespectful or dimb
I've seen all of your comic artist reaction videos, and I really enjoy them! I can't remember if you've looked at George Perez's work yet, but if you haven't I think that would be a cool one to do. He has such a distinct style, and he often incorporates the background in unique ways.
Sui Ishida's art is my favourite art of all manga artists
Mamoru Nagano's The Five Star Stories manga has wonderful art.
Do Hajime Isayama next, he has improved ridiculously during the attack on titan manga. His art is amazing currently and he has a really unique style worth discussing.
Also Eiichiro Oda, his series is the most popular for a reason, he draws comics like a boss.
I’d recommend JRJR
Covered him in episode 2 😁
when this dude said i hate drawing buildings i felt that, i normally will just put huge publicitary spots or screens to not have to drawt those damn windows
Need to see Oda (one piece) and Kubos (bleach) work
7:46 - 9:29 I found your words every inspirational and I as many other do feel like my art skills are inadequate and I shouldn't draw what I want to because I'm bad, so thank you for encouraging arts to draw what they love regardless of their skills.
Check out:
* Tang Chi Fai and Cheng Kin Wo
* Hara Yasuhisa
* Tite Kubo
I love Kubo's character designs but it's a shame he rarely draws backgrounds.

Ryoichi Ikegami, he did Spider-Man: The Manga. Seeing how his art change is amazing. You can watch how he works (also Junji Ito) from Urasawa Naoki no Manben, a documentary about mangaka and the process of crafting chapters for their current serializations.
I came here knowing my man ONE would be here.
Wished he'd talked more about the progress of his art skills during the making of Mob Psycho 100 tho😩 I mean, just comparing the first chapter to the latest ones, he's gotten SO much better at anatomy.
Eternal Mood, Big Prick, ma bois
Incredibly informative and didactic video man! Loved it from start to end, also, I really enjoyed the One and Murata part, in my opinion, one of the best storyteller, and one of the best artist out there
