Mick gordon is one hell of a genius conposer, shame how he was unjustly got fired because of his demands of better working conditions and increased payment.
I was tired listening this again and again in the first mission on nightmare because the demons never stopped killing me, but this ambient soundtracks are just awesome, being the Cultist Base, Doom Hunter Base, Nekravol and Urdak my favorites
There actually is a Terminator reference on the game. Die on the lava and the Slayer will do the famous thumbs up pose from Judgment Day, also the case in 2016!
Everyone rants about the obviously great combat tracks but these "ambient" tracks are dope as hell. Very deep and atmospheric. This one reminds me of Doom 64 or Quake.
I just realized alot of this track sounds SO similar to C&C 3 Tiberium Wars and especially Kane's Wrath's soundtrack. Like the beginning is EERILY similar to the main menu music of Kane's Wrath but a bit faster paced
I was loosing it while listening to this right at the beginning of the game. Loved it when the whole level trembled because of some explosions or idk its just Soooooooo BADASS. The BEST Opening of a game i have ever seen. Doom 2016's opening was already top tier but this................. I also listened to this song while playing minecraft 1.16 and all i have to say......."poor piglins"
Chris Cullen Mick Gordon was very clearly inspired by Blade Runner, and I love it! This bit was definitely an homage to that soundtrack. I’m sure there’s even more stuff in there we haven’t associated yet 😁

Explores the environment and searches for secrets... ... ANGRILY!
imagine someone in doom universe watching a camera recording and sees the doom slayer running around and goes like: " ...he was looking for a toy?"
This has to be the most badass opening of a game ever, straight into the action.
Also feels like an awesome buildup to the final boss as it's in Final Sin too.
What about God of War 3?
@@MusicMike512 idk show me a link
DOOM 2016 : Am I a joke to you?
Don't forget the fact that they give you a *shotgun* instead of a *pistol*
God this track is just so...primal. like it honestly feels tribal almost with the pounding drums.
Best ambient track from Eternal
@@NicolaiSeven Return to monke!!!!!
Humans have primitive and tribal instincts.
Interesting that you sayin that. I like to think that the "drums" in the track are calling slayer for war.

Love the stopwatch sound that kicks in at 0:51 . It gives off a feeling that Earth doesn't have much time left.
Putting "Hell on Earth" and "ambient" in the same title is some amazing juxtaposition when you think about it hahaha
lofi metal beats to rip and tear to
0:52, I love that ticking clock type sound, just complements the music so much
it also kinda of reminds me of an idling chainsaw motor
Magnificent, isn't it?

Mick does it again
That moment when dooms ambient music is more intense than some games combat tracks
when the menu music goes harder than some games combat music
This track really got me into the game when I first played. It did truly felt like I didn’t deserve to play such a good game.
I was tired listening this again and again in the first mission on nightmare because the demons never stopped killing me, but this ambient soundtracks are just awesome, being the Cultist Base, Doom Hunter Base, Nekravol and Urdak my favorites
Arc complex is amazing too.
That drum riff in the beginning reminds me so much of Terminator, can't believe no one has said that
A little...
Terminator is great- I totally agree

Really? Which of the Terminator movies has a similar track if I may ask?
@@codname125 Terminator 1 main theme, at the beginning. Similar sound and vibe I thought
The best ambient music I've ever heard
every time i lose my phase of this game, i look back at the music and get the urge to play it all over again.
You can also look back at the music and get the urge to workout and pretend you’re the Doom Slayer in real life

I believe in official OST it's called "Barging In"
The Longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth.. The Stronger He Will Become..
The beat on this is insane

IKRRRRRR i see him wherever i go. Somehow this guy needs to get banned from commenting
Who’s aljanat5?
@@doomslayer9545 A guy who claimed he wrote all of the lore for Doom and was not credited.
Bladerunner vibes
Was just thinking this, reminds me of Flight to LAPD
Chris Cullen Look up the track “Blade Runner” and listen to the first 45 seconds. You’ll hear it more there than on Ride to LAPD
@@ThaDoomicorn You're right, that's damn near identical!
