This mission is what made me truly love Doom Eternal. I was doing a mission a day until I got to this, and after beating the Doom Hunter I truly felt like I grew into the mantel of the Doomslayer, and I didn't stop until I beat the game in a night. You see, this was the first time in the game, and the only time that I was genuinely afraid and anxious at what came next. This whole mission was fairly easy... Too easy, but the music kept building up to something and I was so fucking paranoid. I had seen my friend playing the Doom Hunter boss battle but I didn't know when or where it happened, so halfway through the level when I saw it being built in front of my very eyes... I was like: *No, it CAN'T be* Then when I watched him come down from the ceiling finally being completed, and the music began to get more intense... that is the first time in any boss battle that I've ever gulped, and felt my palms sweat. After I defeated him, I felt powerful. I felt unstoppable. And that, was when I realized how good Doom Eternal is at awarding you with power. It's why it's my favorite game of all time. P.S. This track reminds me of the Electro OST from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with the whispers in the background.
This theme is so guttural and has a smooth electronic grinding tone to it. It's so brutal and the bass drops are so deep and really rattle my eardrums each time they drop. Perfect theme for Doom Eternal, Mick Gordon literally outdid himself again. This gives me an image in my head of the Doomslayer walking over the corpses of demons - from Imps and Zombie Soldiers and Mauraders to Barons of Hell, Doom Hunters, Archviles, Tyrants, Gladiators, Cyber Demons (from the Baalgor race of Demons in Doom 2016, not the Tyrants in Eternal) and the Icon of Sin along with many other Demon Titans - with nothing but clenched fists as he makes his way slowly towards you (you're a demon in this instance), and who was the same exact demon who killed his pet rabbit Daisy by tearing her head off, awaiting for the Slayer to tear yours off with his bare hands with infinite burning rage in his eyes behind his helmet's visor.
For some reason this music makes me think of one of the deags walking through the aftermath of the slayer’s rampage. Like deag grav coming to the doom hunter base and discovering the corpse of deag ranak and his 3 doom hunters.
2:53 This Part. God Damn. Its just has a completely new vibe, its one of these "gives you emotions that dont exist" moments. Like, a complete new level of darkness and dispair. The Doom Hunter Base already was my favourite Area but with this ambient theme, its settled.
For me, this music really makes me trigger my adrenaline because it was played when they show you the progress of assembling doom hunter. It really nurture your feelings towards readiness of combat. I was like "Oh shit this is what im going to fight against? im gonna need to accumulate all my rage and prepare for the fight"
The Sinister reference at 4:20. I love how many references to the old music he dropped in for the fans. Mick really put a lot of love into the music for the OG fans and I am sure for himself as well.
1:26 to 2:53 is literally the Doom Slayer telling all the demons to go to sleep now. The best part of the track. The bass is so intense. It's his heart pumping out of his chest. The hunted, on the hunt.
I love how the song fit the level more than perfectly. While you move through the level you can see the Doom Hunter being prepared, each and every part being assembled. While all of this happen you can hear this music slowly getting stronger. The music reach it's 'climax' only when you finally fight the first Doom Hunter and it feels so god damn perfect
the fact that the DOOMguy/DOOMslayer helped the priest create and put the parts missing to the doom hunter, is like DOOMguy saying: You better not dissapoint priest...
I'm not sure many people will agree with me. But Doom Hunter Base has the best atmosphere of any level in any game I've ever played. Why do I think this? The buildup to the Doom Hunter fight literally left me so stressed, that when I actually got there, I quit the game out of stress. There is no piece of media that has made me quit like that before. Best level in Eternal in my opinion.
One thing I adore about this level is how not only the level builds you up to the Boss Fight, but the music does the exact same to. Like as you’re fighting your way to the end, the music builds up more and more to the anticipation like the opening for a WWE wrestler making his way to the ring, or a very satisfying movie trailer.

I don't know why, but this map and theme makes me think of being at home with my family playing this level in my room on a Friday evening before supper. Mom is making homemade pizza, my dad and brother are working on their business, and my sister is crocheting. The thing that's really weird is I've been out on my own for the past few years so I'm not drawing from any actual memories of playing this mission at my parents' house on a Friday evening. I kind of want to now though. Maybe the progression and atmosphere of the mission reminds me of other games I played at times like that. Would have been cool to have been able to play this game as a kid.
Good thinking! But, the Death Star doesn’t have the kinds of grotesque, unthinkable abominations and loathsome Hellspawn just lying for you to arrive so they have their chance to get a pick at you.
This might be my favorite ambient track in the game. I love how Mick used a quiet version of the Doom Hunter’s theme to create more suspense and buildup.
At 2:37, the chant there sounds like "LET'S JUST BUILD THE DEMON, HUH?!" - and fits the fact that the UACultists/Minions of Hell are trying to frantically churn out as many DOOM Hunters as possible - and the Slayer gets to see the whole construction process~. And kill one. Whole life cycle right there. When I first saw the energy surface below the cargo tram, I thought: 'this isn't hardlight, nor is it Forerunner- what tech -is- this?'
Dev team could have taken inspiration from Halo's Hardlight tech with its orange hues. But with the addition of a hellish tone with skulls and cult-like symbols it feels more Doom-y.
This ambient music is truly wonderful. It fulfills its purpose perfectly. It keeps the player from sitting in silence, And It hypes the battle with the doom hunter up building up to the moment you enter the fight where the music stops being muted and going all in making the moment you curbstomp the corpse even better.

Thank you for this, easily my favorite ambient music in the game.
Sounds alot similar to the argent tower ambience from doom 2016
*"The council has decided your fate"*
I love how it goes from that buildup back into the intro part, it really hit the spot
2:55 hell yeah
Why does it sound like "Oh shit he's killing the demon HORDE"
Oh my god I can’t unhear it now it always sounds like that in my head thanks man here take a sub.
Even the slow, quiet sections of Doom Eternal are OOZING with intensity! And THIS is why it's my "Window to my Soul!"
This level always reminded me of the Death Star for some reason
Good thinking! But, the Death Star doesn’t have the kinds of grotesque, unthinkable abominations and loathsome Hellspawn just lying for you to arrive so they have their chance to get a pick at you.
I’ve been a metalhead since i was a teenager, but this soundtrack has re-invigorated my LOVE for music that makes you want to rip and tear.
The fucking chant in the background just get your blood pumping I LOVE IT!!!
This hits so hard. Can’t stop listening to it.
Thanks for the upload, just the music I was looking for. Doom has the best music to platform/discover to lol.

*''It's not your PlayStation overheating.*
*It's not your PlayStation overheating.*
*It's not your PlayStation overheating.*
*It's not your PlayStation overheating.*
*It's not your PlayStation overheating."*
I don't hear it
@@XXpassegeofsighs i do.
This is the scariest video game music I’ve ever heard
This song is so damn badass for me
I wish Mick or Sascha Dikiciyan made music to the new quake reboot/remake that is apparently in the works
I use this track to help me study. thank you so much!
I've a goal in mind. Nobody wants to stand in my way. Life for a life, but you first. I don't appreciate rumors much. You can blame on neighbors btw
