After going through Taras Nabad again, I've determined it uses the exact same music as Exultia. As such, I've changed the title. If I'm wrong, please let me know how the track differs.
Not wrong at all. Hell On Earth, Cultist Base, and Final Sin also share tracks. (Hell On Earth and Final Sin share the ambient you hear in the ruined cityscapes of Earth, while Hell On Earth and Cultist Base share the throat-chanting track.)
I love 3:37. The slow guitar makes it feel so ominous and empty. The doomslayer has been on this journey for countless ages, and for most of it he has been alone
Well, it is an ominous place, Taras Nabad and Exultia. Desolate, but by no means empty... There are demons lurking around every freaking corner, ready to tear you apart, limb for limb. There is so much POWER in these games, that very few can stand up to the challenge. They are adrenaline pumping, that's for sure.
"We must move, quickly. There are those who would seek to stop this. I offer you a gift, take it, it will give you strength... Help you on your journey. And now... They will fear you."
Something cool, the horn that is played after the chant in that part is made of a human femur, it’s called a kangling. Kinda horrifying but also pretty cool
You're looking upon the abandoned war machines of a previous unstoppable inter-dimensional empire. Like any previous dimension they conquered, they opened a portal into Hell, only to have their very civilization corrupted from within and destroyed.
@@dreggman4685 yeah ik but like picture it like your on earth in a apocalyptic city like New York or something you're all alone little supplies but you dont know where to go beside walk
i cant be the only one who loves this. the mixing in a few bars from "victory music" is perfect. is it a victory, Doomslayer? it really doesnt look like it from where i stand.
Perfect! Just look at the text from the first time we hear that music: ONCE YOU BEAT THE BIG BADASSES AND CLEAN OUT THE MOON BASE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WIN, AREN'T YOU? AREN'T YOU? WHERE'S YOUR FAT REWARD AND TICKET HOME? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO END THIS WAY!
@@Shuttergun1 at the time it played, yeah. Only after was it revealed that the demons invaded earth. Then again I guess the sad victory music was hinting at the fallacy of your victory
when I listen to this ambient I get a shiver through my body and a state of euphoria, this music is very close to my soul, it feels like I've heard it hundreds of years ago in another life, and now I hear it again, thank you man and thank you Mick Gordon
Of course mick did a call back to the classic games ost in this track it's like an obligation. At 6:00 by the way if you're wondering. It's the text story song that plays in between episodes
When you hear the War Horns and the Warriors chanting, you feel it in your bones. Like this is how its supposed to be. its Like Conan explaing Whats best in Life X 100
The reference to Victory from Doom 1 or 2 is brilliant, for me it symbolises a past that has been lost to the demons and lost to time, waiting to be reclaimed
0:37 is probably a reference to Aubrey Hodges - Retribution Dawns from the PSX version of Doom! It plays on the Hangar and Entryway levels of the port.
At 4:20, I swear it sounds like they're screaming "FOR KHORNE!!!" I know it's prolly something different, but my inner Warhammer nerd is still satisfied.
I feel like 1:11 doesn't get talked about as much as it should. It's so harrowing and ominous, it begs you to wonder what happened to all of the Sentinel places. Gets me super hyped for Dark Ages, when we see them restored.
Btw It’s not sign of evil it’s the victory/chapter complete theme from doom 1. Mick does reference sign of evil a couple of times though most notably in the ambient themes for sentinel prime and the kadingir sanctum in doom 2016.

@Archit misal Darksiders 2 is such a great game. but now that you mention it yes. this feels right at home in the forgelands. i might even mod it in
@aljanat5
Damn bro cool story
But I went to Hell and back, and I couldn’t find anyone who asked
@aljanat5 but doesn’t John Carmack work at Oculus?
Also ID developed doom, Bethesda only published it.
I love 3:37. The slow guitar makes it feel so ominous and empty. The doomslayer has been on this journey for countless ages, and for most of it he has been alone
It sounds just like the chapter complete theme from Doom 1
@@TDARLING87 yep victory theme
It really reminds me of frozen wastelands in Borderlands 2

I love that Mick made Exultia and Taras Nabad have the same music because they both take place in the same world
4:20 gives me goosebumps. I just remember seeing the hellish landscape and all the giant mechs and titans towering over me.

The victory music parts (3:36 - 4:21 ; 5:52 - 6:38) also basically tell you *_"Rest Your Weary Fists"_* now.
Another amazing masterpiece from Mick Gordon, the idea to recreate the first DOOM's victory music in a metallic way is just brilliant.
@REX he actually uses Dark Halls a lot in the OST (arc complex and the opening cutscene). It’s badass
8:18 I'm not sad, I'm not scared. I'm both at the same time. This is the creepiest sound I think i've ever heard.
It has the leitmotif of Urdaks theme which makes it feel like all of this death has been done for a dead world
I think this my favourite out of all of them
Arc complex has entered the chat...
Non metalhead spotted.
I think it's the most relaxing ambience music of the DOOM Eternal soundtracks

Mick was fucking genius to put victory theme from original Doom. Idk how but it perfectly creates a much needed atmosphere for Argent D'Nur.

No
