    After going through Taras Nabad again, I've determined it uses the exact same music as Exultia. As such, I've changed the title. If I'm wrong, please let me know how the track differs.

      Not wrong at all. Hell On Earth, Cultist Base, and Final Sin also share tracks. (Hell On Earth and Final Sin share the ambient you hear in the ruined cityscapes of Earth, while Hell On Earth and Cultist Base share the throat-chanting track.)

    I love 3:37. The slow guitar makes it feel so ominous and empty. The doomslayer has been on this journey for countless ages, and for most of it he has been alone

      Well, it is an ominous place, Taras Nabad and Exultia. Desolate, but by no means empty... There are demons lurking around every freaking corner, ready to tear you apart, limb for limb. There is so much POWER in these games, that very few can stand up to the challenge. They are adrenaline pumping, that's for sure.

    4:20 gives me goosebumps. I just remember seeing the hellish landscape and all the giant mechs and titans towering over me.

      Something cool, the horn that is played after the chant in that part is made of a human femur, it’s called a kangling. Kinda horrifying but also pretty cool

      You're looking upon the abandoned war machines of a previous unstoppable inter-dimensional empire. Like any previous dimension they conquered, they opened a portal into Hell, only to have their very civilization corrupted from within and destroyed.

      @@Shuttergun1 at the time it played, yeah. Only after was it revealed that the demons invaded earth.
      Then again I guess the sad victory music was hinting at the fallacy of your victory

    Another amazing masterpiece from Mick Gordon, the idea to recreate the first DOOM's victory music in a metallic way is just brilliant.

      @REX he actually uses Dark Halls a lot in the OST (arc complex and the opening cutscene). It’s badass

    when I listen to this ambient I get a shiver through my body and a state of euphoria, this music is very close to my soul, it feels like I've heard it hundreds of years ago in another life, and now I hear it again, thank you man and thank you Mick Gordon

    The reference to Victory from Doom 1 or 2 is brilliant, for me it symbolises a past that has been lost to the demons and lost to time, waiting to be reclaimed

    0:37 is probably a reference to Aubrey Hodges - Retribution Dawns from the PSX version of Doom! It plays on the Hangar and Entryway levels of the port.

    I feel like 1:11 doesn't get talked about as much as it should. It's so harrowing and ominous, it begs you to wonder what happened to all of the Sentinel places. Gets me super hyped for Dark Ages, when we see them restored.

      Btw It’s not sign of evil it’s the victory/chapter complete theme from doom 1. Mick does reference sign of evil a couple of times though most notably in the ambient themes for sentinel prime and the kadingir sanctum in doom 2016.
