I grew up in Goa and work in Bangalore! Love how you covered both, and yeah, rickshaw drivers are a pain. Indians use ola and Uber only

My 28 year old son died in Goa. We don’t know what happened to him. Foreigners die there all the time. If you are are young person especially a female please be extremely cautious. It’s a beautiful place with a very dark dangerous reputation.

Yes using uber/ola is a lot better to get around in india. Most of the time the fare is about even so if its a long drive, getting a cab is easier. You get to travel more comfortably and get a/c(in summer months). Bill is automatically calculated through the app so you wont get ripped off and wont have to deal with headaches of trying to haggle. Auto rickshaw is more for immediate short term travel if you dont want to wait for a cab cause sometimes those guys take a long time to come even though it only shows them being 2-5km away.

Few bad guys like these Rickshaw drivers project India in bad and unsafe tourist destination. Gradually, we're getting into oblivion of our own great ancient philosophy of respecting guests as equivalent to God. :(

For those who are so critical have you seen the videos of tent cities in some cities in California, loads of homeless living on the streets with mental health alcohol and drug problems and the appalling slum areas of Chicago New York and Detroit just to mention a few etc etc and from local people not the MSM.

@@IndigoTraveller Mumbai as a big city is extremely liberal they have clubs and bars with bches shaking their booties as they would in any western club lol

even i was advised to not take rickshaw by local people, they dont use meter, also once they dropped my mom n sister to a shop and left but actually wanted to go home, so yeah stay clear form rickshaw in bangalore, it doesn't matter if you are indian or foreigner if you are not local dont take rickshaws.

Ola has the best Taxi Service in India; you can book Bike, Auto to stepwise mini, sedan, or suv etc. You can also use Uber and a lot more application taxi services and some local as well.
Omg 😅 I get way to motion sick on buses and boats and such. That 12-13 hr bus ride would be my nightmare.
I was also in Anjuna in November & December 2016 in a hostel just around the corner from you. I remember the demonetisation, it was painful! Made travelling very slow progress. Great vlog

I stayed down the coast in Mangalore. Home of beedies. I went there as it’s where the train ends. Hampi was very good. Goa didn’t suit me although the birding is very good near there.

About the auto drivers, well you are absolutely right. They behave like this with people who are not local, be it foreigners or Indians. The same goes for local shop owners as well. This really is a sad situation tbh. We the people of India tend to be more racist towards our own people and it's really sad. Anyhow Nick, great series, loving every video you are sharing. Yeah man, Airtel is the best network to use as it works in many places across India. Uber is easy to use, just download the app. Super easy to get around just ask anyone if you need help. Indian people are generally very helpful. :)

I completely disagree! I like to hear what he has to say. I learn a lot about the places Nick visits by listening to his experiences and perspectives. Although the videography is fascinating to watch, it wouldn't be the same without the commentary.
