Nice, my parents were never able to afford a PS for me till I got my first job at 17 years old then bought a brand new fat Ps2 which played PS1 games. I still have it too. Then bought a N64 which has been nodded with the RetroActive Ultra HDMI Kit 😄 I really love these consoles. I play them with my 6 year old son 😎
God bless my big bro I was able to experience this when it first came out in 1995 thanks to him I felt that feeling. I also had the saga genesis when it first launched and the xbox oh man I really enjoyed the xbox live it was out of this world at 12 years old.
Army Men Air Attack falling out of that PlayStation has so much significance to me. Like, my brother and I played it EVERY DAY. It cultivated an appreciation for aircraft soon enough it was nothing but Ace Combat and eventually, we found ourselves in the Air Force. I still play it on my phone on an emulator now and again. Crazy how time flies.
I remember when I looked threw a disc case somewhere in my house, I found Army Men AIR ATTACK. It was strange because I asked my whole family to see whose it was. Nobody knew anything about it. We didn't even own a PS1, Just a PS2.
Lol that is strange to think about. Most the viewers are younger than the ps1 console. God I'm getting old. I remember Owning a brand new Atari in the early 80's. Great video by the way. Took me down memory lane when I got my PS1 at launch.
snowontheweb....my kids will never understand how good they have it lol digital downloads with absolutely no need to leave the house. ....y'all remeber demo discs and taco bell n64 give away contest where a purchase was required no website b.s. for a free entry
I ralate I was born in 1998 I was around when n64 cane out and also around when xbox came out and dreamcast i am happy I got to play xbox and ps1 and n64
It's not even packed correctly.... getting excited for performance rfu... lol I'd get it if it was a sony rf module, these are not as common and give much better results. Missing a foam part, missing thebags for av and ac, that blue one was for the dualshock controller. I
Hi, i have one of the newer models in perfectly new condition. And some of the games i played to death. My first encounter was when i was 14 and my brother said: Hold on ill go and borrow something from my friend.....He came back home and had the yellowish ps1 box in his hands with Wipeout 1 and Destruction derby 1. I will never ever forgot that experience that ive had when i saw the graphics and sound this thing made. Wipeout blew me away and im a huge wipeout fan till today. These are my memories of the outstanding PS1.
I remember my first PS1. Got it in 1997. I had to hook it up through a vcr because my old crt tv didn't have the av connections. It's the only PS system I don't have since the PS2 and PS3 can play PS1 games.
Hey, good find. Hard to find a PS1 console in such good condition, most go greenish over time with scuffs and scratches, but that one looks as close to new as you can get, without paying stupid money for an unopened box.
Stumbled upon my childhood's PS1 while swimming through old moving boxes. It had fragments of a "exploded" game disc all stuck inside of it, So I had to give it a proper clean. The stupid disc spindle was broken, However I had a spare part lying around from an old portable DVD player. Now, All we need is some good old games, Some controllers, And a lot of tea.... :)
i gave my cute PSone to my sisters kids at some point with memory, controler and a good collection of games along with my favorite Resident evil 1,2,3nemesis all in their cases.....3 months later kids were playing Frisbee with titles such as RE3,dino crisis,CTR,Silent hill,Gran Turismo....i didnt care back then but now that psone and its games have become such a history i feel a little bit bad not having that stuff in my possession...
Gattai ... i have 3 x Ps1's, 2 x Ps2's, 2 x Ps3's, Ps4, ps4 pro, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox one, Xbox one s, Xbox one Scorpio, and an professional gaming rig. best regards -Holzwurm/Moritz
I collect all model Playstations. I currently have 10 PS2 fats. 5 PS2 slims and 9 PS1s. I mod them and paint them. I have a Black PS1. Pink PS1. White PS1. So much fun.
My PS is one of my favorite consoles I own. It has a really good stealth chip of some form (was already installed when I got it but have never opened it to check it out) and I can play anything I can throw at it from anywhere.
Most chips out there would be able to handle Stealth just fine, the only ones you would run into issues with that would have been Old Crow chips or many prior to that.
That's the late model version in which Sony has removed all the ports on the back. This is the undesirable model. No Game Genie's for you on this one! Btw thanks for the great vids on CFWs and other mods. You have really upped my game in the emulation and modding scene!
I remember when I was 6 years old going with my dad to our local Toys R Us to get one of these bad boys. I have faint memories of the excitement of waiting for the sales associate to open the glass display case under the demo console they'd have out. Sadly that original system was stolen after someone broke in my dads house. The replacement console lasted us a good while, before it crapped out on me around 2008 or 2009. I remember going to boot it up, saw a brief flash of spark out the back of the system, and that was all she wrote, she was fried :'(
The first system along with saturn at that time to have cd quality music, three dimensional games and cgi introductions. The first time seeing a arcade perfect port of Tekken 2 in 1996 was mind blowing and it doesn't stop, the games keep coming and improving and final fantasy vii to ix along with resident evils push it over the edge. Latter consoles cannot recreate that majestic experience and era again.
Feeling a controller vibrate in the hands is a novel experience too back then. Also internet wasn't that advanced then and advertising campaigns was done more extensively in the streets and shops creating a happy jovial time when kids went out to hang out. Looking for tricks and cheats was also much harder than. Licensing fees and market risks was smaller too which contribute to a flourishing era of diversity, choices, happy coincidences and ideas etc....... until the gaming industry become too powerful and mainstream and profits take higher priority than fun and bigger studios refuses to take chances and buy over rival studios before they became a threat and kept them on the backburner for decades ...the usual corporate politics etc. Also improve technology kill off the arcades and people no longer go to arcades to play games and arcade became extinct. The memories... lol
I am 21 years and I remember when I get Hugo the troll on ps1 when I was 7 year old And spyro the dragon were my best game I ever had and grand turismo 2
Cool video :) Mine is SCPH 9002c PAL version, bought it in September 20th 1999 and still have it, even made a video about it recently. It was fun to notice slight differencies in your box, for example my box has the game screenshots of the first edition games, like Gran Turismo 1 instead of GT2 you have and my box doesn't have the serial number opening. Not sure if it's because of the year difference or because of US / Euro version difference. Had also the Scart adapter in the box.
Unless other consoles have the serial number opening, it might be a US/EU difference. It's great you all got SCART as a standard though as opposed to us getting Composite.
As kids, we've always got games that we traded or got for free. But I don't remember actually buying games too much. I always wonder how these games became ours and who was the original person who bought it then just gave it away. Especially for crappy games, I feel bad for the person that bought it.
"And many of the people watching this are younger than this PlayStation" Me: Holy crap am I younger than it!?!?!/ "17 years old playstation..." Me: Oh wait.. I'm older, duh. *Sips rum*
got a modded SCPH-1000 in early 1998 for ~$250. game CDs cost 4-5 bucks each. but man... Tekken 3, FF7, Castlevania: SotN, MGS... awesome times. still have it with the original D-pad only controller. just last month, i butchered an original Dualshock controller (that came with a 7xxx series) to make a wired arcade stick for PS2, PS3 and PC.
may be i got first i still remember i got in 1995 and when i saw Granturismo 1 replay i was speechless. i got playstation in 1995 .and its handles were without analogs.
I just got a ps2 fat of letgo for 40 bucks the controller was in amazing condition the ldy told me it was her sons long ago i opened it up barely any dust inside crazy how in good condition it was almost new
$32?? You've confirmed my assumption that I should throw out my PS1 box about 10 years ago. My box was in mint condition though, so maybe I could have gotten $35 for it? ;)
the laser reader on my PS kept failing. I would take a cd player and pull the laser reader out of it and put it into my PS and keep playing games. That was in my early teens and when I stated to repair things. I love doing repairs and would love to find a job doing it before I get too old lol considering I was born in 85.
I can feel that OPEN button right now. Memories.
RebelForce8 :D
so this is an unboxing video of a previously unboxed PS1...nice
My thoughts exactly.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing!
This was the exact model I got as a kid. Major throwback.
I remember when I looked threw a disc case somewhere in my house, I found Army Men AIR ATTACK. It was strange because I asked my whole family to see whose it was. Nobody knew anything about it. We didn't even own a PS1, Just a PS2.
Sneaky Skrub I know this is old but the PS2 played PS1 games so you probably got it, played it on your PS2 and then forgot about it lol
love it so badly, the aesthetic is insane.
A E S T H E T I C
About as aesthetic as it gets unless going Genesis or SNES. A quality PS1 is a must.
I turned 16 two days ago, that thing is older than me.. damn.
THYCR3ATOR I am 19 next month I be 20
still cant believe kids born in 2000 will be turning 18 next year..i am fuckin old
Lol that is strange to think about. Most the viewers are younger than the ps1 console. God I'm getting old. I remember Owning a brand new Atari in the early 80's. Great video by the way. Took me down memory lane when I got my PS1 at launch.
snowontheweb same I can relate
feeling the same but with the super nes

Thanks for watching!
FrenchyToasty At least it works
I own an original Sony RF module
norge696 sure, never said it wouldn't be better. Just that Sony's official RF adapter was better than cheap knock offs.
FrenchyToasty ooh mr. Hot shit who is smarter than everyone. We haven't seen that before. Stfu

got this as a surprise did not even ask for it, it was my first home console and i loved it modded it when i dug it out of my closet.
I'm 23 years old, and I definitely remember the ps1 days I always thought it was in 98 I was around 3 or 4 haha.
This video MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 MILION VIEWS !!!
Guy preserved the console for more than 15 years, come oooonnnn !!! :D
I remember my first PS1. Got it in 1997. I had to hook it up through a vcr because my old crt tv didn't have the av connections. It's the only PS system I don't have since the PS2 and PS3 can play PS1 games.
the NOSTALGIA!!!
At the time I loved my PlayStation 1, I used it for like ten years, very durable. Had mine modded.
Watching this video makes me feel so old. Brings back memories though!

i want my ps1 back D:::::::::::::::::::::
Mine got recycled despite it still works while my PS2 got scrapped because it got broke too much times. PS1 Slim is really durable to be honest.
step 1: google epsxe
step 2: have fun
i miss the console...
Gattai ... i have 3 x Ps1's, 2 x Ps2's, 2 x Ps3's, Ps4, ps4 pro, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox one, Xbox one s, Xbox one Scorpio, and an professional gaming rig.

You can still use the gameshark. Just the CD version with the package mem card. It's called the GameShark CDX
Ahhhh I remember getting mine. First console I played and was introduced to the video game world.
First console I remember playing was the N64. My mind at the time did not understand how a two handed person could use a 3 handle controller.
Sony has good industrial designers who know how to make eye pleasing consoles. I’ve always preferred the first model of every ps console.
Funny, I just picked up the same model the other day. It just didn't come with an analog controller.
I remember when I was 6 years old going with my dad to our local Toys R Us to get one of these bad boys. RIP :(
How do you find the manufacture date of a PS2 model?
i still have my original PS and its box. it was bought on 23rd march 1998 around 3:30 pm. :)
:D

I've got one I bought off an auction for $2 that's that clean, I've sold many original Playstations but never as clean as mine.
Born in 96 grew up on the ps1, game cube, and ps2.
thats the same model as mine back then in 1998/1999
I wish my ps1 was still that clean.
Actually I was 10 when that one came out.... but I played the hell out of the origninal resident evils
PS 1 PS 2 original Xbox are the best generation of gaming and Im 45 and grew up with every gen.
About the condition of the ps1, I'd say it depends on how long the previous owner had it for, u never know.
Did anyone else have the problem where u had to turn it upside down or tap on the side to get it to work again?
Is the ps1 older than the last couple highschool graduates? Like 1998 and 1999 kids? Im 18 and I was born in 1999
Judging by the time of it being made, it was probably only used for a year or less before the original owner just got a PS2
I have a ps1 parents almost sold it for a £1 on eBay some one bought it never turned up so glad 🙂
i still own one and still works. i have Aug 1998 model
Wow, thats cool, i have a ps1 in my house
It's like unpacking a time capsule bro
As kids, we've always got games that we traded or got for free. But I don't remember actually buying games too much. I mod'ed a 90001 and yeah it's the best PlayStation model 1 I used.
Funniest thing ever I had the last model before the dual shock came out lol good score on that PlayStation tho very clean
"And many of the people watching this are younger than this PlayStation"
Me: Holy crap am I younger than it!?!?!/
"17 years old playstation..."
Me: Oh wait.. I'm older, duh. *Sips rum*

A pirate's paradise, oh how Sony hated it. Understandably so, however.
Back when you didn't need to turn on the console to take the game out. Idk why companies get rid of convenient things like this...
My dad still has the PS1 that works since it came out and now we have a Xbox one aswell
may be i got first i still remember i got in 1995 and when i saw Granturismo 1 replay i was speechless.
i got playstation in 1995 .and its handles were without analogs.
Even back then they were hyping resolution. "Broadcast Resolution" LMAO
I’m 11 and I want a ps1 it looks like a good console!
I just got a ps2 fat of letgo for 40 bucks the controller was in amazing condition the ldy told me it was her sons long ago i opened it up barely any dust inside crazy how in good condition it was almost new
Removed P port .. This is why the 7501 model is worth increasing.
I had this very same model in 1999.
Unboxing an unboxed Original PlayStation in 2017
$32?? You've confirmed my assumption that I should throw out my PS1 box about 10 years ago. My box was in mint condition though, so maybe I could have gotten $35 for it? ;)
That PlayStation is one month older than I am lol
It's crazy to think that that playstation is only 4 months younger than me!
my playstation 1 didn't have analog or dual shock lol, just a standard control pad
the laser reader on my PS kept failing. I would take a cd player and pull the laser reader out of it and put it into my PS and keep playing games. That was in my early teens and when I stated to repair things. I love doing repairs and would love to find a job doing it before I get too old lol considering I was born in 85.
i remember playing on super nintendo as a kid with my brother
I use my ps1 all the time I wish I got in in a like new condition Speed Freaks/Speed Punks (depending on country) bundle.
I have an original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 still brand new unopened in the box.
JeffTheLoser I have a used unopened one.
+Julen Urionabarrenechea that... makes no sense?
I wouldn't open it an original ps1 brand new in the box is a pretty rare even a ps2
I'm surprise how the PS1 sold more than Nintendo 64 and it's a new brand while Nintendo been around for generations
the DS1 is durable as hell. What went wrong with the DS3?!
It's not the original, though. The original PS1 came without the dualshock functionality in the controller and no analog sticks
Thorogrimm Still a PS1, just a different design.. 😂
Wish I kept the boxes when I was a kid :(
First ps1 game we bought was Gex and warhawk
I own the first model with the av port and the composite video port
I still have mine ,but I need a lens for it can't find a lens for it nowhere .
I have looked everywhere for one of those RFU adapters haha
But why?
@@MrMario2011 I have an old Tube TV, and growing up I had a PS2 hooked up over RF. It looks too high quality over RGB...
i remember the original release of the ps1 had av cables and was able to play burned games
It never played burned games out of the box unless you bought one pre-modded.
So you paid 32 bucks for this?
A dollar a bit.
aye thats when i was born month and year
Mine is 18. Old enough to graduate school.
Legal PS1.
I have a ps1 in my garage (haven't played it in 5 years tho)
I remember the ps1 and I was born in 1998
command and conquer red alert is my favorite game :)
I could never enjoy those games on a controller!
yep, this is older than me...
ruclips.net/video/K9S_sPmvv2s/видео.html
Still have a PS1 in the box also.
someones been eating an irn bru bar while touching that controller
How did you find a brand new sealed one
I have a playstation 1 with grapics of a game called c ball zoon or sth. like that do you know what this is
I grew up on ps1 and 2
oh man ... im so damn jealous of you right now!
DAAAAMMNNNN! :)
