The doctor is talking about SCS while the patient has a spinal infusion pump. It could be very confusing to those who don't understand what pain physicians do.

Title is PAIN PUMP and all he talks about is the spinal stimulator. I have both. the stimulator doesn't work and is just a foreign object in my body now >8 years. My pain pump tho got me off oral pain meds and changed my life. Don't get the PRIALT in your pain pump, I blacked out for a month and had halucinations and now am on a mix of Buvivicaine and Hydropmorphone. It works great and no high, no drugged feeling, none of the side affects from ORAL OXYcontin/codone. I fractured by lower back in an accident and have had 6 spine surgeries and the pain pump saved my life!!!

No one I have ever talked to like the stimulator. At least your honest.

Dr refused to acknowledge my thoracic pain from significant cord compression at t7-t8, he installed stimulator. It helped my numb leg, but not really burning buttocks pain and never touched my thoracic. I have trouble picking up a half gallon of milk out of fridge. So I am getting trial with Prialt, because after being on 300 mg of Oxy a day, never want opiods again. Prialt trial is in 3 weeks, Wish me luck.

@@paulbade131 They put Prialt in my pain pump and I totally blacked out for three months. Now I have Buvivicaine and Hydromorphone. Don't get any high or side affects for the new meds but that prialt kept me in the dark for months. I have a Pain Pump though and that's what Id' reccomend. My stimulator worked for about six months then zero pain relief. Ihave had my pain pump for over six years with a new one put in in september as the old one passed it's usage life. I have a 40cc pain pump which gives me 105 days between fills. Look up Prialt side affects and horror stories on the internet before you put that into your body. Please.

@@outbackjack46270 did you have the various epidural trials with Prialt to determine side affects? Trials were ok? I don't want anything I can become physically dependant on. Opioids have already changed my life forever. Thanks

@@paulbade131 Yes but the amount was so small it didn't start to affect me bad until after the actual pain pump was installed and he kept turning UP the Prialt. Now with the opiods in the pump you get no high feeling, you can't even tell there is medicine in the pump except that your pain is so much lower.

I have a condition/birth defect called Spina Bifida. I have chronic back pain due to it. I know i'd have to see a doctor but I keep wondering if I'd be a good candidate and if it'd be worth my time?
