      @@RomanoImperoTv Еще раз спасибо за прекрасную прогулку. А Вы не могли бы показать и рассказать о башне Милиции, которая находится рядом с рынком Траяна? Еще раз спасибо!

      Я кое-что упомянул об этом в видео с отверстиями: ruclips.net/video/j-yOdu-TVvE/видео.html, но это старое видео, и в то время я не вдавался в подробности, чем сейчас. Посмотрим, может быть, в будущих исследованиях мы поговорим об этом получше. 😉

    Great video! I love this area and stumbled across the murale l’asino che vola quite by accident the last time I was in Rome. (2015)

      It has been there for several years, along the Tiber you can often see it. 🙂 Cheers Margjm. 👋

    Thank you for showing us the side streets just off the well known streets e.g Via Coronati. This will really help next time we're in Rome and getting lost will become minimal 😅. Great to see these medieval homes and the monogram fresco paintings on them. They are so easy to miss unless someone points them out. Once again a fabulous video 🎉. Mille Grazie Romano Impero!! And your opening music is always first class and matches the scene.

      Hello Romano Impero. Just watched your video again. We will definitely have to see this area when we get to Rome. We walked mainly on Via dei Coronari but didn't realize just behind it were beautiful Medieval buildings and Palazzos. Thank you for all your great work in showcasing La Bella Citta'. All the best in your future endeavors. 🌠

    Why is “It” called the Oldest Profession in the World? I never gave it a thought. Surely there are oldest professions 😉

    • @RomanoImperoTv
      @RomanoImperoTv  Год назад

      Perhaps because it is a profession that does not require particular knowledge, craft skills or particular tools. 😀

      @@RomanoImperoTv Actually the opposite, no? 😅

    • @rpgbb
      @rpgbb Год назад

      Actually, I just checked, according to Wikipedia, its used it’s quite recent. It comes from Rudyard Kipling's story “On the City Wall”.
      The actual oldest recorded profession with guilds are tailors.
      Traditionally, farmers, soldiers, assassins, spies, priest all claim to be the oldest profession

    In many of your videos, you have mentioned the Orsini family.
    Are they still relevant in Rome? Can’t you speak openly? 😉
    I remember some years ago, I read Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “Tender is the night”, in a chapter, the protagonist gets arrested in Rome because he starts to talk badly about Rome’s aristocratic families. The novel was written in the 1930s.
    Fitzgerald is known got his novel is “The Great Gatsby”, which it’s great
    Would one get arrested in Rome if one starts to badmouth the Orsinis? 🤔

    • @RomanoImperoTv
      @RomanoImperoTv  Год назад +1

      No, if you talk bad about it, nothing happens. 😀 The Orsini like the Colonna, Torlonia, etc. they are all families that have had an important past and great power because they competed in putting popes and cardinals in their own families. Having a pope meant power and wealth because he could administer and donate land, fiefdoms, towns, etc. Many of these families still exist today, including the Orsini who have, among other properties, the palace built on the Marcello theater, yes, right above it. 🙄 However today, some families still have a fair amount of wealth but the power of once is just an old memory. 🙂

    • @rpgbb
      @rpgbb Год назад

      Ah I checked about that palace in Teatro Marcello, really remarkable. I think they are still powerful 😅

      Purtroppo il traffico dato dal numero delle macchine esagerato e la conformazione delle strade di Roma, sono da sempre un problema della capitale. Saluti Benedetto. 🙂👋
