Can we recreate Ange Postecoglou 433 tactics on FM22? Creating tactics in #FM22 can be a bit daunting, but in this Football Manager 2022 video, I breakdown how I created Angelos Postecoglou 433 in the hope it helps others to be able to create their tactic from scratch. In the video, we analyse Angeball tactics, create the tactic and style of play with Celtic, and lastly, we see how the tactic plays out in Football Manager 2022.
Postecoglou lines his Celtic up in a back four formation very often, meaning there are always a pair of full-backs on the pitch. Intriguingly, instead of instructing the wide defenders to go high and overlap on the outside, this position is also sometimes required to be in the centre as well. In the construction phases of the attack, Postecoglou’s midfielders also had important roles in dictating and managing the flow of the game. All of them must have a good willingness to play, but that was not equivalent to picking up the ball because they have to be in the positions to receive. In the last third, Celtic must be very aggressive to make runs and have the desire to score, because having so much possession means nothing if you do not put the ball into the back of the net.

I’d like to see you give Pep’s 2009 Barca a go. I was obsessed with making that system work in FM. Sir Alex Ferguson said something like “They get you on that carousel in midfield and they make you dizzy” when talking about the midfield three. Iconic team that were regarded at the time (possibly still are) as the greatest club side of all time.
Kindred spirit here. Every FM edition I attempt to use Pep's tactics to take a lower league club up to the top. I will not sacrifice my principles on the beautiful game.

To me the most interesting thing about Celtic which cannot be recreated in FM is that the strikers are clearly told to stand in an offside position so that when the ball goes out wide and in behind they are unmarked for a first time cross.
Great point! Possibly could’ve used a poacher. I did use AF at the start but after losing to Aberdeen, the ST on attack never gave us balance in attack

IRL Aaron Mooy is garbage lol... the FM scouts got their data wrong on that one as all his attributes were blind given he hadn't played in a year. in FM23 expect Pace = 5 or less.
Celtic's use of fullbacks varies the most on the right as their two options are quite different types of players. Juranovic prefers to cut inside and helps out the midfield, as an inverted fullback whether he's on the right or left...right is his preferred. Ralston is a much wider player, a proper wing back who often gets to the byline and whips in crosses.
