I quite believe that. My stepdad restored a TEA20 last year. When it arrived it was basically just the engine, gearbox and axels. There was almost nothing with it. No distributer, no starter motor, no exhaust manifold or exhaust, no carb, no fuel tank, no bonnet, no seat. It wasn't seized so he went ahead and bought everything needed to make the engine run, and low and behold it did. After we got the timing right of course. Which is a miracle itself as neither of us knew what we doing. We just researched online and read the manual.
That is a TED20 like mine. The front fuel tank is for kerosene and the small rear tank is for petrol that is used to start and warm up the motor before switching to kerosene. My tractor was doing the same thing as yours and wasn't getting enough fuel. Turned out to be a partly blocked fuel tap. I stripped and cleaned the fuel tap and it ran fine.
I would agree with the other guys comments about the music, it's nice but repetitive, not necessary, your vid is good enough without it. thanks for the good vid, perhaps before the Rover startup you could give the tractor and the Rover a nice pressure wash cleaning ,get rid of that greenery.
Great minds think alike,,, scrap the clanky music,, please,, I was born in Stratton Strawles , went to Aussie in 52,,Returned to visit the rellies in 66 ,, Your accent reminds me of Saturday nights at the Horsford Dog ,, Love rusty stuff , all the best ..
I winched timber with one ...diesel in the 90s ...i scuffle beet with a TVO .. in the 80s ...the TVO had the exhaust under the axle.. Carnt remember what year that were...helo from IRELAND..
Hope to see a update on this tractor Perhaps hopefully a new tire at some point for the rim that’s missing a tire and maybe get to see it cleaned up with the pressure washer or something at least to take all the grime off it
Well Mr Fell, she certainly never turned that rapidly in 1950. Cause she had a standard 6v battnerny. Don't leave her on too long or she will spoil the coil unless a resistor has been put in its brainpan.
That brace rod to the radiator was the worst idea ever. Every one I've ever seen leaks there. The vibration pulls the soldered tab off the radiator. When I rebuilt my TO-30 I left it off and let the hose absorb the vibration. Works perfect! All automobile radiators are now mounted in rubber and have been for years.
There was one of these old Ferguson petrol paraffin tractors where I worked many years ago. It was very reliable and ran like clockwork. They don’t make them like that now.
Ferries never die mate, so best of British luck to you, you just may need a type though, ha, ha, be careful though, if you clean her up, you might shock the hell out of her, positive earth hey, well she is bloody old then, Ord from down in Australia
You also see if Oil Pressure gauge works to & Volt Red Light or Ammeter gauge says Generator charge battery and low idle should be 650 to 750 RPMS also high idle be 1750 to 1800 RPMS idle ! The Generator there 2 metal chrome toliet tap flip up one near pulley and second one on bump to flip squirt can 2 pumps of 30 engine oil every month lube up bearing and electronic points parts! Plus keep the connection on Generator clean to so get perfectly charge on low or high idles too and charge should 12.5 Volts on low idle and 14.0 Volts on High Idle! Plus try add 80W90 in transmission and when running shift gears too!
Good work there mate she definitely deserves more video vlogs liking the p6 in the background is she on the list ? Keep the vlogs coming all the best 👍
Hi ya. Thanks for watching. Yeah there will be more videos of the Fergie having bits done. As for the P6 she is twisted as I tree blew over and landed on it just as we had stripped the bright work off it to start restoration. But I may well do a start up video of it. Think people would like to see her fire up.
Great video apart from the music, have ye not got something proper Norfolk?Like that toon 'Ave ye got a light boy,ah ye got a light' Would be really Authentic!
Try using the screw-in cap that came with the coil and please push the boots down on the cap. (I'm OCD, I wasn't upset with the music...but I was, "push the caps down" through the whole video!)
Yeah made a mistake on the music. Sorry. No music on the next one. Thanks tho. Am going to be starting that old V8 rover next. Promise no music. Give us a subscribe and you'll be notified when it's done.

The petrol tank has a small division at the rear of the tank that hold about a gallon of petrol. The rest of the tank that covers engine and exhaust is ment for TVO (Tractor vaporising oil). Its designed to gently heat the TVO so it burns easier. I guess you know this and you are just testing me. Lol.. Thanks for watching my friend.

Enjoyed the video very much thanks. Music not necessary.
Mate you videos are so good you don’t need background music!
Great videos but would rather hear your voice than the music bor!!
For this baby to sound so good with all that moss on her is wonderful. The valves are not leaking and the engine hits like new.
You could drag a wee Fergie out of the sea and she'd start!!!! Fabulous wee machines!!! Every croft in my village, growing up had one. Thank you!!

It couldn't fail to start; you changed everything bar the hub-caps! Good for you.
That takes me back. I’d know that sound anywhere. Great vid, thanks.
Sorry about the loud rubbish music. Thanks for watching.
That's a great piece of work and very interesting thanks for sharing this, I bet your Dads happy. Cheers Bob
Great video, stop the bloody noise in the background!!!

I used to drive one of those in the '60s when I worked for a farmer in Yorkshire. Bloody cold hard seat in the winter months
After sitting for that length of time your very
lucky the motor wasn't stuck. Nice job!
Engine seems to be sound without and oil burning or anything else. Now that you have that working, time to refurbish the tractor... Thumbs Up!
Proper job !! Sounds sweet , music a tad annoying tho .
I think you mean extremely annoying! Rest of video really enjoyable.
It started up like it was parked yesterday good job

Got sooo happy at 11:49 when that background bikie bar racket stopped but was short lived... Awesome video other than that
Being in the wild is fun but repairing old tractors gives thrill i believe that you will agree with you
great video, good job but please kill the so called 'music'!
Excited to see it going round the field great video
Great video, we did something similar a few weeks back. Might be something regular to try and do!
Wow, the motor is in very good shape !
I winched timber with one ...diesel in the 90s ...i scuffle beet with a TVO .. in the 80s ...the TVO had the exhaust under the axle.. Carnt remember what year that were...helo from IRELAND..

Very cool saving that old work horse.
Well Mr Fell, she certainly never turned that rapidly in 1950. Cause she had a standard 6v battnerny. Don't leave her on too long or she will spoil the coil unless a resistor has been put in its brainpan.
great little tractors i had one a long i used on the bog when digging peat they were perfect because they were light and there reliable
The Fergusons were great little tractors, They had a much better engine than the 8N or 9N Fords.
Great sounding engine
Really cool Revival really enjoyed it
For our next trick, try stzarting ths Rover!
The generator has a large brass screw close to the carb. Unscrew the screw and put oil on the wick. It lubricates the rear generator bearing.
Know clean down , well done big man 👨🦧

Great to see a bench.
Will you be restoring the old girl to her former glory? Like to see a video of her chugging along.
There was one of these old Ferguson petrol paraffin tractors where I worked many years ago. It was very reliable and ran like clockwork. They don’t make them like that now.
Ow they are good old tractors mate. Normally go forever.
Very well done, thougt about all the important things.......
that music does my head in
I hate videos getting plagued by stupid music I would have watched it other wise.
Years back When I was a teen we had a 49 8n sitting for 15 years and we got it running and sold it.
Ferries never die mate, so best of British luck to you, you just may need a type though, ha, ha, be careful though, if you clean her up, you might shock the hell out of her, positive earth hey, well she is bloody old then, Ord from down in Australia
Ferguson’s are great old tractors
Ditch the music, just wrench on the old girl.
I own 2 te 20 Ferguson tractor s you can run them on stranded fuel or unleaded fuel with a valve lifter additive
I agree! Aggravating to us old duffers that can't hear very good anyway. Irritating!!!
Nice job sir.
Pressure washer and a good tidy. Did you change the oil and filter? I think you have an air leak in the left rear. Press on lad.
Lol. Funny! Get ye cowboy hat and off you go laddy. YeeHaa. Hehe
well done mate
Apart from that throttle jam shes good. Supposed how well she fired up once all sorted.
i know this is two years old but you have to lift up on the shifter to engage the starter
I thought I the firing order is 1342 you put no 3 ht lead on no 2 plug?

A rolling tractor gathers no moss.
Good work there mate she definitely deserves more video vlogs liking the p6 in the background is she on the list ? Keep the vlogs coming all the best 👍

Garage in Rackheath had a stack of p6's
No paraffin what do you recommend to run a TVO engine on nowadays / thanks man cave Graham Bournemouth
I just run mine on petrol took the manifold heat shield of now just put petrol in both parts of tank it runs fine
Hi is this tractor for sale When you get it running. ?
Any updated video on this machine cleaned up??
Have you still got the mill loader
Is there any possible way that you could shake the camera anymore than you already are?
I agree, time to use a tripod. Just about puked watching you swing around like a dance hall girl.
Will a TVO engine run on CHIP oil when hot
Great video apart from the music, have ye not got something proper Norfolk?Like that toon 'Ave ye got a light boy,ah ye got a light' Would be really Authentic!
Nice video, only complaint was dumping all the gasoline on to mother earth!
Try using the screw-in cap that came with the coil and please push the boots down on the cap. (I'm OCD, I wasn't upset with the music...but I was, "push the caps down" through the whole video!)
Never been so glad to have a mute button on the laptop before.
Please find yourself a camera stand I'm feeling seasick
Ps good video
Sweet
Need to get rid of the music
Great video, but the background music is horrible.
Just a suggestion you might want but a tire on the left side or it might wreck the rim just a suggestion
The fly has stolen the show. 😂
No new rotor / what's that back ground racket???
-
solder up your leaky rad
Famous last words...
"I love it when everything just goes together".!😲!.
A catastrophe is JUST around the corner.!🤣🤣🤣!?.
🚜🚜😎😎👍
Don't expect it to run on kero cause they stopped making the old power kero, and lighting kero doesn't cut it

Really interesting vid, well done, But please get rid of that horrible music.
pull gear stick up or down there is a gate
Get rid of that background music
The next vid it would be cool if ya could get the old Rover running that's sitting in the background,- wondef if its a V8.
Looks like a Rover 3500S V8 to me, I had one back in 76 ..in Harvest Gold .. the same colour..
The exhaust manifold is situated directly under the fuel tank. But why?!?

@@NorfolkMancave I love the T20. It was the first tractor I drove. I struggled to start it keeping the brass knob pressed.55 years ago!
I think they call it music
