NICE...I will be doing that build shortly...I have seen it once before but now have decided to commit. I found this buggy on eBay after some searching, for $18. A few days from now and I will be working on this project. I will be using .020 black sheet styrene for the panels. Can't wait...
I bought the aluminum hinge pieces for my rig, replacing the flimsy stock plastic ones. To mount to the front, I used a slot car magnet from a 1/32 scale car. CA glued it to the front body clip mount after grinding off that nub that the body clip went thru. Fits perfectly after a bit of grinding the magnet to fit on the body mount piece. I also red 3M scrubbied the paint off of the metal panels, now they are semi shiny and look great...thanx for the inspiration to do this build...
Thank you. They are from HBX Devastator Wheels. You can get them on Banggood.com under $20. They are very wide and very deep dish/negative offset. But you may want to add weight in them because they are plastic beadlocks.
The jeep body swivel bracket works without any modification. Just as you remove it from the jeep body, you remount it through the rear cross bars of the Adventure Force body, using the original plate. I don't know how it works with oder scx24 body mounts. I don't have my rc's with me. Next time, I'll take a closer look and more pictures
@@Nicks_Hobbies_Channel..I have looked at your vid numerous times to see how it works. I am getting the toy car Monday & the black sheet styrene. Just wanna be sure how to mount the cage to whatever chassis has to be used. Thanx for your reply. I am using my Deadbolt chassis...maybe.
. I have a Deadbolt on an Injora black aluminum rock chassis. What ever works I will purchase...I want to leave my Deadbolt alone...so whatever I need to use the toy cage.
@THOMAS FISKE In that case, you will need the Axial Rear Bumper & Hinge SCX24 Jeep Wrangler JLU part number AXI201000. It goes for around $12 on Amazon and eBay. Good luck and post the results 👍
I believe you. It flies even with the battery it comes, especially without the metal panels on it. And it is pretty tough. My kid enjoyed it for quite some time until the transmiter broke. Now I bought another one for him 😀👍
I can't say for sure. But I've made the same body work with the TRX4M, which is a bigger 18th scale chassis. I'm sure it can be made to work. It's all about mounting it.

Looks like LGRP chassis only $160 cheaper LOL - I decided to get one from Walmart! Thanks Bro!
Sweet ride. Where can I get a set of those wheels? They look bad ass.

You willing to sell the the rest or the car and controller from the adventure force rc?
Not wort selling without the body. A new complete one in the box is $15 at Walmart.
I am still not clear what you screwed the bracket to. Do I have to use the Jeep chassis to make this work?

@THOMAS FISKE what chassis/body you currently have on your scx24? I know it works perfectly with the jeep wrangler body mount

I put a 2s lipo in the cheap metal racer after I took the body off and that thing Flys 🤣

what are those wheels and tires?
The wheels are HBX Devastator wheels, and tires are RC4WD Wranglers. Wheels are very light plastic but they are beadlocks. I added weight inside them.
Same for bronco?

@@Nicks_Hobbies_ChannelI’ll try soon. Thank you!
