Melora Hardin played Jan perfectly in the office
To pull off going from a character with a pretty one-dimensional disposition, i.e keeping Michael in line in season 1 & 2, to go to Michael’s unemployed, unstable girlfriend by season 4 is nothing short of admirable

I really don’t like that they made Michael and Jans relationship seem like Jan was the only villain when it was clearly awful for both people.

Melora Hardin is an amazing actress. Apart from her acting her vocal modulations made Jan so much more interesting!
Holly X Michael is just so uplifting
I loved Jan’s character development. Well, it wasn’t really an improvement per se but I loved how she stayed the same headstrong woman but motherly. Really glad they kept her character even after getting fired at DF.

This song caught me offguard. At first i was laughing as you guys, then i was amazed how beautiful this song was, then i cried about things in my life... for the entire 60 minutes.
Jan, Michael and Dwight--the comedic heart of the show. That is why it fizzled out bit by bit after her departure. Well there are many reasons, but to me the show was never finer than the exchanges between Jan and Michael: precious gold!
Jan is the most beautiful right? In literature and real-life it is common to document crazy beautiful people as plainly crazy too. That genes dont mess up balancing nature.

Jan was narcissistic, had desperate baby wishes. Completely controlling in any way towards that she wants. Michael never had a chance with her.
But that's why I love the show! Thank you Melora Hardin for playing Jan. You are probably a person I would love to have a drink with but I hated Jan. Great acting!
Normally, foil-type characters on sitcoms develop over time to become more likeable and reasonable. Margaret and Charles on "M*A*S*H." Nellie on "Little House," Ted Baxter on "Mary Tyler Moore." Melora Hardin put on a clinic on doing the reverse of that, which is a sizeable acting challenge. Jan was the most normal character in Season 1. By the end, not so much. But she was a lot funnier!
