What is so wrong with that?! Let people enjoy themselves. This world is so full of conflict, pain, war, suffering and division. Let people find happiness where they can.
I could be wrong, but for this show specifically I think it's actually against the contests rules that they can't engage the judges in this deep of a way scripted. They can have small details setup but the judges cannot be in on it. This man is just an incredible emotional manipulator (I mean that positively) and he was able through subtle phycological pushes influence what Simon chose, which cap stoned the experience. Now in terms of the two "chosen" volunteers, they were probably in on it

Sometimes hope is literally all we have as humans. An amazing performance from an amazing man. Left me in tears and I don't cry. I've lived on hope alone for the last 4 years of my pitiful existence and this drove it home for me why I have. Thank you for that.

The point is to take you on a journey with the act yes all roads lead to hope. Many magicians use this trick in different ways. I remember way back when Copperfield did a similar trick on tv. You dont over think it you just take the journey

Real life wizards, witches and faith healers dabble in the occult. It usually involves spirits and demons. Sometimes its just us with our minds being manipulated with the power of suggestion.

Ironically his magic isn’t actually on another level, what actually makes him incredibly good is the fact that he takes what are really quite routine well known magic effects to magicians, but presents them incredibly with power, story and emotion. Thats what sets him apart and makes his performances so awesome.

No matter where you start the directions he gives always makes you land at the same circle I tried it with every circle and square on the board and it always landed at the same place at hope
