Oh hidy ho officer, we've had a doozy of a day. There we were minding our own business, just doing chores around the house, when kids started killing themselves all over my property.
I was shocked at how adorable the movie was with the chemistry between, Tucker and Dale, and Dale and Allison. I knew I was gonna laugh but I was unaware of how attached id become to all three of them.
I remember me and my friend watched this because we didn't have anything else to watch on netflix. the movie blew us away because it was way better than we anticipated.
This movie is fantastic, I watched it on Netflix with no knowledge of it and just loved it. I wish this kind of movie could make millions at the box office.
Tucker and Dale is.... AWESOME! My buddy popped the BluRay in one day and said, "You are going to love this movie" He was right! In the last 5 years there has been 2 fantastically awesome low budget/ low key movies that totally blew me away. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil and Upgrade. If anyone hasn't seen Upgrade yet, DO IT!!
This is still a great little watch. I can't believe this was given the run around for so many years. It is so cleaver and funny and in a way, perhaps one of the most realistic scenarios for a horror film. Given the stupidity of kids today who will believe anything they see in films.
What I like is the idea that genre-savviness is the PROBLEM, not the solution. Ever since "Scream," people expect horror movie characters to know The Rules and consider them idiots for making any of the traditional mistakes. So in this one, we have genre-savvy teenagers who are, unfortunately, completely wrong about *which* genre they're in. Then hilarity ensues.
Jason Blalock - Thing is, one of the 'traditional mistakes' in horror movies is being unwilling to get the police involved. The character attempting to be genre savvy, Chad, ignores the others' telling him to go to the police because he wants to be the hero of the story.
ReddwarfIV Well, in reality, police are nearly always responders to murder. Even multiple murders happening in a single day, they simply respond, until they can get lucky, and find someone who can ID the killer. So in many slasher movies, where bodies are hidden, and no one knows who the killer is, the police can't do much at first. Take Scream, Dewey and the police force are responding to one murder after another, throughout the film(Dewey always showing up because he was the third killer, but I digress). They even have a suspect, who is the killer, but can't hold him. The police showing up doesn't guarantee anyone's survival.
This is definitely a great movie that deserves to be seen by anyone who enjoys a bit of comedy with their horror or horror with their comedy . Another excellent review
4:46 One of the funniest scenes ever 🤣 I love weird but good movies, and this one is like that, as is Tremors. Good story and acting, bromance, romance, comedy, action, horror .. Ingenious and hilarious.
I was lucky enough to see this movie in a theater in 2011. It was a single screen independent theater near my university, and it was an amazing experience going in blind
My dad who past a couple years back introduced me to this. He was familiar with Tyler Labine from Reaper and Alan T from Firefly whom my dad was also a huge fan of. We didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of stuff but I miss him all the time and so many of the films and shows you review are ones he and I use to watch together or he was the reason I at all. Thanks for the reminder of better times.
This movie was just perfect. I wish it had a bigger theatrical run. I heard about it like a year or so after watching Cabin in the Woods in the theater (which i loved). I watched Tucker and Dale... it was everything I could have hope. I didn't hear about the sequel, but man, I can't wait!
Chris Stuckmann got me here. I don't even sub him, but I sure as hell sub GoodBadFlicks now. I couldn't agree more, the content is amazing. I've learned tons from these videos.
Oooh. . . I think I was looking for something to watch for my annual "watch a bad horror movie on Halloween" tradition, and tripped over this. It didn't *look* like a bad, low-budget, exploitation horror film, but it didn't look like a good straight horror film either. . . I had no idea what it was, but I knew I had to watch it. I'm very, very glad I did. Interestingly, that's pretty much the exact same way I tumbled over Cabin In The Woods, though I'd at least heard of that film before and had it in the back of my mind as something I needed to watch someday.
Sock from Reaper and Wash from Firefly fell through wormholes, had their memories erased and grew up as friends in the backwoods of the American Southwest. And it's amazing.
When my friend first asked to watch this with me, I rolled my eye and didn't want to because it sounds so silly. However, I absolutely LOVED it and have seen it 3 times now. So clever and funny. As you note, it actually has a very sweet side as well. Awesome movie, can't wait for a round 2!
What a coincidence I just bought the steelbook on blu ray. Tucker And Dale is one of if not my favorite horror comedy films. I love your channel man keep up the great work you deserve all the views and sub's you get. I just started making my own videos and it has really made me appreciate the work you put into yours as mine are simple one take videos and yours are so heavily edited and professional. I wish you the best with this channel and hope Goodbadflicks continues to grow.
I'm glad people are finally talking about this film. Alan tudyk and Tyler Labine, greatest combo ever. I watch everything these two work on as they are geniuses and worth watching in every situation.
I first caught the unfinished version but I even thought that was good so I vowed to watch the complete version when I could. I eventually did and I've loved it ever since. One of the few movies I can watch again and again.
When my husband told me about this film I was skeptical, but I now love it! I love Alan Tudyk, so that was a huge selling point for me. Such an underated film.
I’m one of those people who knew this movie existed but couldn’t see it in the theater I had to wait till I could watch it on demand, once I did me and my stepson watched it and laughed hysterically. I then waited for it to come out on DVD which I purchased and made all my family members watch it and who are now all huge fans of the show.
I think the second one should have a part were Tucker and Dale accidentally come across a 5k zombie run and they think zombies have taken over the world.
This is probably my favorite movie of all time, I'm a newer subscriber brought here by Chris Stuckmann, but I have been thoroughly impressed by every video you put out. :)
Alan Tudyk is just one of those guys that doesn't even have to say anything and comes across hilarious... they give him something funny to do/say and ribs are splitting! See him in Death at a Funeral (THE ORIGINAL BRITISH VERSION!!!!) The whole movie is great but Alan truly is the best part.
I definitely need to check this movie out. Hmm, there's a Cabin in the Woods / Tucker & Dale VS Evil (Double Feature), but it's DVD only, no Blu ray. Bought the movie on Blu-Ray, heard great things about this movie since it came out, but this review pushed me over the edge to get it.
Absolutely love this movie. Even the unfinished leaked version is still completely amazing. Can't wait until the sequel comes out. Ever since seeing Tyler Labine as Sock in the tv show Reaper I've watched everything he has been in. That dude is a treasure, though Sons of Tucson wasn't very good. If you are a fan of his, then I highly recommend the comedy tv show Deadbeat where he plays a stoner medium that has to help ghosts with their unfinished business, it is terrific.
Would love to see an Expolring Stephen Kings Thinner 1996 video, very underrated and forgotten movie. Keep up the good work. Love your videos, all the way from Sweden.
I hated that movie at first because, with the exception of Joe Mantegna's mob boss character, none of the characters were likable. When I saw it again, I liked it a little better.
I saw the unfinished version. and it was still one of the best horror comedies I have seen. Labine and Tudyk are simply glorious. I've always hoped we might get a "Tucker and Dale vs." movie series going. who'd not be up for Tucker and Dale vs. Romance or T&D vs. The Marvel Universe??
This is such a great movie! A few years ago, a guy i was dating asked me if I'd seen it, since he knew i love horror movies. I had never even heard of it. Now its absolutely a favorite of mine, and i really enjoyed this peek behind the scenes. Here's hoping we get that sequel!
I love this movie so much. The heart of the two leads, the gore & of course the awesome black comedy. My stomach hurt laughing when the guy jumped into the wood chipper.
Yes! to me this film is real ''game changer'' IMHO! Thanks for doing a ''Exploring'' episode on it Alan&Tyler really made the film for me plus the commentary with them and Eli Craig is very, very funny too LOL!
Would you consider exploring the film Splinter? It's a cute little film that deserves more love. Besides that, your review on Dale and Tucker vs. Evil was a great explanation of a really fun, campy film. Keep up the hard work!
This movie was a pleasant surprise. There were so many lol moments. Till this day my bf and I would say one of our favorite line in the movie, and we would bust out laughing!
honestly gotta wonder how they'd do the sequel whether it'll just be a re treading of the original, a continuation with chads character which would likely just devolve into a straight up slasher flick or try to ramp up the meta narrative as tucker and dale go through another similar experience and whether that will work or just become played out. either way here's hoping that whatever they go with it ends up working as well as the original.
I think you should cover Freaked (Alex Winter) as a Good Bad Flick or an Exploring video. It's pretty great and I couldn't find where you'd already covered it.
Best movie EVER! My husband and i watch this movie from time to time and its always a total blast :D We SOOO keep our fingers crossed for the sequel!! Alan Tyduk is WAY underrated!
They did something that modern horror movies (even horror parodies) rarely do: have likable characters.
Endless Noise that is a big issue in most movies.
Oh hidy ho officer, we've had a doozy of a day. There we were minding our own business, just doing chores around the house, when kids started killing themselves all over my property.
Amanda Bertelsen You must think I'm all kinds of stupid. Lol. I feel so bad for those two
Hahaha
One of em up and went and jumped into the wood chipper!
One of my favorite quotes from the movie! LOL.
I love the lines. Tucker and Dale are just trying to have a nice trip at the cabin and they got people killing themselves.
I was shocked at how adorable the movie was with the chemistry between, Tucker and Dale, and Dale and Allison. I knew I was gonna laugh but I was unaware of how attached id become to all three of them.
I remember me and my friend watched this because we didn't have anything else to watch on netflix. the movie blew us away because it was way better than we anticipated.
adrian cano is it still on Netflix?
Sorry, I don't know
no longer my friend no longer
Sky Mundell its on netflix now!
This is such an underrated film. It's great
Not really. It's almost universally liked by the people that see it. Maybe less known, but not underrated.
Remember renting this on a whim and it was indeed a classic.
This movie really stuck with me. Every once in a while it will randomly pop into my head and I'll have a good giggle.
The best punchline: that gory and graphic struggle with the kid in the wood chipper, followed by "Are you ok?"
This movie is fantastic, I watched it on Netflix with no knowledge of it and just loved it. I wish this kind of movie could make millions at the box office.
Tucker and Dale is.... AWESOME!
My buddy popped the BluRay in one day and said, "You are going to love this movie"
He was right!
In the last 5 years there has been 2 fantastically awesome low budget/ low key movies that totally blew me away. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil and Upgrade.
If anyone hasn't seen Upgrade yet, DO IT!!
I love it when a film properly makes fun of horror cliches. For one thing it's not only funny, but can also help inspire more creativity in movies.
My family sat down to watch this believing it was an actual horror film. What an unexpected treat.
Really satisfying movie. Near-Perfect blend of horror, comedy, satire, gore, likeable characters. Sadly such movies have become a rarity.
This is still a great little watch. I can't believe this was given the run around for so many years. It is so cleaver and funny and in a way, perhaps one of the most realistic scenarios for a horror film. Given the stupidity of kids today who will believe anything they see in films.

+Jason Blalock Exactly! It's so hilarious! Reminds me of the old screwball films of the '30s except with horror.
Jason Blalock - Thing is, one of the 'traditional mistakes' in horror movies is being unwilling to get the police involved. The character attempting to be genre savvy, Chad, ignores the others' telling him to go to the police because he wants to be the hero of the story.

This movie and What they do in the shadows, are the best horror comedy movies to come out in the past decade.
this is one of my favorite horror comedies next to evil dead 2. this movie needs more praise.
Ingenious and hilarious.
gets me everytime
Probably one of the best horror comedies I have seen in recent years :D
Great video!
Thanks!
I was lucky enough to see this movie in a theater in 2011. It was a single screen independent theater near my university, and it was an amazing experience going in blind
The worst thing about this movie is how the trailers completely spoil everything.
Ah, Tucker & Dale, the creme de la creme of horror comedies. Loved it so much I shared it with the whole family and they had a blast :)
Alan Tudyk alone makes me want to see this.
"Its a perfect love story, except for a minor wood chipper incident" is how I would describe my romantic life
LOL. I hate it when that happens!
One of the most underrated movies! Any horror fan needs to watch this.
This is still one of my favorite movies.
My dad who past a couple years back introduced me to this. He was familiar with Tyler Labine from Reaper and Alan T from Firefly whom my dad was also a huge fan of. Sorry for your loss, glad the video was able to remind you of some better days
This movie was just perfect. I wish it had a bigger theatrical run. I heard about it like a year or so after watching Cabin in the Woods in the theater (which i loved). I watched Tucker and Dale... it was everything I could have hope. I didn't hear about the sequel, but man, I can't wait!
You deserve so much more subs, your content is awesome. So glad Chris Stuckmann gave you a shout out :)
Which video did he shout out GBF?
His Blair Witch project 2 video.
i think he is getting there slowly
Chris Stuckmann got me here. I don't even sub him, but I sure as hell sub GoodBadFlicks now. I couldn't agree more, the content is amazing. I've learned tons from these videos.
Well, I subbed a little over a month ago when he was at 80K. I think he's picking up speed fairly quickly.
Oooh. . . I think I was looking for something to watch for my annual "watch a bad horror movie on Halloween" tradition, and tripped over this. Thank you, for doing Tucker & Dale. Its one of my all time favorites.
My wife hated this movie... so I got a divorce. I think it was the only call.
Wise move, my friend.
Agreed
So....thinking of getting remarried..?
Please share her name, so that none of us make the same mistake you did.
Grateful to say, I think MY wife may have actually enjoyed this brilliant film even a LITTLE more than I did...
I'm a lucky dude.
Great work, as always Cecil :) And congratulations on hitting a 100K subscribers. You definitely deserve it,man with all the hard work you do.
What a coincidence I just bought the steelbook on blu ray. Tucker And Dale is one of if not my favorite horror comedy films. Tucker and Dale vs Evil is one of the great small movies. I love this film. Thanks for making this video of a beloved classic.
You broke 100k , congrats man ! been here a while now and its nice to see how far you've come :D
Love this movie! And great to see an appreciation of it by you as well. Great job on the review!
I ended up watching this movie about 7 months ago because of this video. Its one of my favorites now. Thank you bro
One of my most favorite movies. I always recommend it to everyone to watch it and they all love it.
after having already watched this movie, it still makes me chuckle just thinking about some of the scenes
I love how this film twists expectations. I loved it and my friend loved it when i introduced her to it
I'm glad people are finally talking about this film. Alan tudyk and Tyler Labine, greatest combo ever. I watch everything these two work on as they are geniuses and worth watching in every situation.
I don't think it was on but for 2 or 3 seasons, but I loved Tyler Labine in Reaper.
Ah yes, my number one favorite rom com.
I first caught the unfinished version but I even thought that was good so I vowed to watch the complete version when I could. I eventually did and I've loved it ever since. One of the few movies I can watch again and again.
This movie is absolutely one of my favourites! So good! I can't believe they didn't get released for that long! This is such a classic!
Its insane how good t&d is, its such a funny take on the standard horror film.
When my husband told me about this film I was skeptical, but I now love it! I love Alan Tudyk, so that was a huge selling point for me.
Such an underated film.
I was hesitant going in to this movie, but went for it because I love Tyler Labine & Alan Tudyk. Ended up loving the heck out of it.
100k subs, grats man you definitely deserve it!
This movie is so hilarious. I know it has a huge cult following and basically everyone loves it but it's still underrated!
I genuinely loved this movie, it was so adorable
thanks for letting us know all TBS stuff, it really shows when people try/care to make a good movie.
Alan Tudyk is just one of those guys that doesn't even have to say anything and comes across hilarious... they give him something funny to do/say and ribs are splitting! See him in Death at a Funeral (THE ORIGINAL BRITISH VERSION!!!!) The whole movie is great but Alan truly is the best part.
your Exploring series are always great. I learn a great deal about movies I love, this being one of them. Thanks!
This is one of my favorite horror comedies made post 2000. It ranks up there with Cabin in the Woods, Bloodsucking Bastards and Happy Death Day.
Great episode! I absolutely adore the _hell_ out of this film, I'm so glad I stumbled across it on Netflix.
Tucker & Dale became an instant classic and my shipmates and I would quote it on the sub all the time.
I always hoped you would do a vid on this film, i realy liked it, now to sit back with my brew and enjoy
Absolutely love this movie. Even the unfinished leaked version is still completely amazing. Can't wait until the sequel comes out. If you are a fan of his, then I highly recommend the comedy tv show Deadbeat where he plays a stoner medium that has to help ghosts with their unfinished business, it is terrific.
Saw this on Netflix last night, an hour and half of my life well spent!
Haha just as I was looking for this on youtube you upload it. Thanks.
Chad'so origin story is so OTT, the way he flips is hilarious.
It's not so much a horror comedy but a horror movie that's funny. One of the best horror films in years.
it's a comedy horror. plain and simple.
+Joshua Balcombe oh, now I see. What was I thinking
I love this movie! I thought I knew enough about it but you always seem to say something new.
This is such a great movie! A few years ago, a guy i was dating asked me if I'd seen it, since he knew i love horror movies. I had never even heard of it. Now its absolutely a favorite of mine, and i really enjoyed this peek behind the scenes. Here's hoping we get that sequel!
This movie was a breath of fresh air to the horror genre. With a great twist like "Cabin in the woods". I just recently saw it on Netflix. Great fun!
I love this movie so much. The heart of the two leads, the gore & of course the awesome black comedy. My stomach hurt laughing when the guy jumped into the wood chipper.
Dude. this movie is one of my all time favorite. such an amazing and original idea ahaha.
JANGERZ!!!
Yes! to me this film is real ''game changer'' IMHO! Thanks for doing a ''Exploring'' episode on it Alan&Tyler really made the film for me plus the commentary with them and Eli Craig is very, very funny too LOL!
I ended up catching this on cable one night a couple years ago and ended up loving it.
I have to watch this... I'd never heard of it. This looks like a blast.
That's how you do a horror comedy, too bad movies like this one are rare.
One of my all time favorite movies. I laugh every time I see it.
Tucker and Dale plus my favorite RUclips channel?
Pure Gold.
I have saved this movie in my laptop n whenever I feeling sad I am watching this movie..it makes me so happy
Hey! Love the content, find myself binge watching them.
one of the best horror comedies in existance.
It is an excellent horror movie and an incredibly hilarious comedy.
Great movie , great review, and now I am craving some Pabst Blue Ribbon
Thanks!
Would you consider exploring the film Splinter? It's a cute little film that deserves more love. Besides that, your review on Dale and Tucker vs. Evil was a great explanation of a really fun, campy film. Keep up the hard work!
I love this movie. It's not mean-spirited, its character are both stereotypical and unique, and the visuals are surprisingly solid.
Just went and saw the film based off of your review, and I am glad I went and checked it out.
Really enjoyed this movie, it was a lot better than I had expected
This movie was a pleasant surprise. There were so many lol moments. Till this day my bf and I would say one of our favorite line in the movie, and we would bust out laughing!
I love this movie. I gave up on horror comedies, and didn't even wanted to see Tucker & Dale vs Evil. Thank god that I gave it a watch.
This is one of the few films I recommend to anyone I can.
What about doing Without A Clue next?
honestly gotta wonder how they'd do the sequel whether it'll just be a re treading of the original, a continuation with chads character which would likely just devolve into a straight up slasher flick or try to ramp up the meta narrative as tucker and dale go through another similar experience and whether that will work or just become played out.
either way here's hoping that whatever they go with it ends up working as well as the original.
Loved this. One of my favorites.
I think you should cover Freaked (Alex Winter) as a Good Bad Flick or an Exploring video. It's pretty great and I couldn't find where you'd already covered it.
Are you ever gonna do a Video on Maximum Overdrive?
Huh i guess im not the only one here
Oh I am so hoping he does
WE MADE YOU
JOEY
I TOLD YOU TO KEEP AN
EYE ON THEM KEYS
In 2011 he said he was gonna do a video on The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit, and we're still waiting. He thinks we forget these things, but we remember.
One of my favorites to this day. You should do a video on Deathgasm, if you've seen it.
Best movie EVER!
My husband and i watch this movie from time to time and its always a total blast :D
We SOOO keep our fingers crossed for the sequel!!
Alan Tyduk is WAY underrated!
I've loved this movie for a while. Showed all my friends and they also loved it.
