I remember back in 1955 when I was first diagnosed with myopia how devastated I was. I truly felt condemned to a life of progressive myopia. I'm so glad that there is a program to reverse this.
A very complete discussion about how life time prevention could be achieved, when still at 20/50 on your Snellen. You are correct about kids. It is almost impossible to encourage them with any and all prevention efforts!
Hi Reannon, Thanks for addressing this extremely difficult subject. (I remember my own, "myopia inducing habits")! You must persuade the child to understand the problem. If they fight you, you lose. I asked my Sister's three children to take prevention very seriously, and NEVER, accept or start wearing a "prescription lens". To avoid that, I asked that they always confirm passing DMV at home. The ODs never give you this essential choice. They wore a prevention plus (by their choice and understanding) through the school and college years.

We are almost toward end of the year in our virtu.." I am sorry. I accidentally deleted you comment while replying. This video should answer your question: ruclips.net/video/3AtgHK-qzUA/видео.html
What a nice message you sent. I totally agree on everything you said. It's important to share info about child myopia and any parent should do the best to contrast myopia. Playtime outside is the best and less restrictive thing we can impose to kids and they enjoy that moment as well, as you mentioned. Your background noise is so peaceful by the way!
After the quiet of winter it seems loud to me, I know that will wear off though. At one point a helicopter came through right over me 😂 I cut that and re-shot lol
She is still stabilized, and still remote schooling. It took me a long time to get here but I have made my peace with that being enough for now. The summer might bring her gainz, I am still hoping. But she has to be the one to improve her eyes, I have done all I can at this time and that is all any parent can do.
Sounds great! And being stable is an important part too! It must be hard as a kid. But she will be grateful for your efforts, I'm sure about that! I wish both of you a good luck on this journey!🤗
@@jonathanb.4710 She does wear her glasses but not for close work. She was remote schooling for over a year. She is back in school now but many changes were made during the shut down so still very heavy screen use in school unfortunately. But still stable in her myopia. She isn't making efforts to improve but she isn't getting worse either.
Her myopia is stable for going on two years even through remote schooling and in spite of the "fact" the industry would claim it wouldn't stabilize for several more years. So even though she has not as yet made progress reversing her myopia (she is not motivated at this point) I would still say she is doing good.
@@Sanhash21 she is a -3 and we implemented the easiest bits of EM to accomplish stabilization. No full correction in close up and regular breaks. If she cooperated with more distance vision time and more outdoor time, I expect she would start seeing improvement. However as I mentioned before she is only inclined to do the minimum at this time.

You continue to be a great resource for the Endmyopia community. Great work!

Such excellent advice!
Hi Reannon,
You are beautiful to ask that question!
I spent a life-time searching for an Optometrist ( honest ) who would help me!
What now.
I hope you can help her get out of it!
Hi Reanoon! Great video! How's your daughter doing? Does she improve?❤

@@Reannon5 Does she wear prescription glasses and does her remote schooling require attending online classes or you homeschool her?
