    is this to simulate the sensoric nerve or motoric ., what are the used values ..

    • @SaeboUK
      @SaeboUK  Год назад +2

      It is for motor stimulation in this video . There is a separate programme and video for sensory .
      Values are 35hz frequency, 350 micros secs pulse width, 2 second ramp up and down. Waveform is symmetrical biphasic

    Thank you for this. Is it best to sit with your foot flat on the floor like in the video while doing stim?

    • @SaeboUK
      @SaeboUK  2 месяца назад

      There is no best position , you want to have your foot positioned so that it is free and relaxed to move with the Stim.

    If I have little too no feeling from just under my knee to my knee toes, how should this feel?
    I was paralyzed due to multiple sclerosis and I twisted my ankle which caused foot drop and over pronation. I never regained full nerve function in my feet but twisting my ankle has made everything a million times worse,
    I feel coldness and I can feel the shocks. Is that normal?

    • @SaeboUK
      @SaeboUK  Год назад +1

      The usual sensation is a tingling sensation - a bit like mild pins and needles. This may not be how you feel it if your sensation has been altered.

    • @SaeboUK
      @SaeboUK  Год назад +12

      Wave type is Symmetrical biphasic. Frequency 35hz . Pulse width 350 micro secs. Stim time 9 seconds, rest time 5 seconds. Ramp up and down of 2 seconds . The amplitude is dependent on the strength of muscle contraction you want so will be different for different legs

    • @SaeboUK
      @SaeboUK  4 месяца назад

      If there is hair then yes, just where the electrodes are placed. This makes the electrodes stick better and last longer. Use a beard trimmer or nail scissors rather than a razor. A razor creates small micro abrasions which can make the stimulation uncomfortable

      Ideally apply when trousers are rolled up as it is very hard to get accurate placement underneath clothing (arm or leg)
