- Get the Pacer Pump that is used in the Video here amzn.to/2eVhKwP
today I purchased a 2" pacer water pump and hoses and while I was there he also had a seized pacer pump for 50 bucks. i jumped on the idea as if anything it would be good for parts. it turns out it was a easy fix. somehow somewhere the cylinder got hydro locked with oil. i'm going to assume by somebody dumping oil in the air intake. Anyways this was a bonus for me win win situation.

If you tilt some of these engines, there is a tube from the cover that says OHC to the carburetor and the oil will pour into the carb and fill the cylinder. First rule of thumb; Pull the plug and pour out the gas.
I used to get a lot of locked engines right after the engine manufacturers started using the tall dipstick tunes and customers would fill the things to the top of the dipstick tunes. I always wondered who the real dipstick was. LOL You got one heck of a deal!
Jerry i see that all the time.
there are a few things to look at.
clean the carb it could be sticking and allowing gas to over fill the oil. and fill the plug. or it tipped over and flooded and filled the plug.
one way to stop this is to turn off the fuel when not using it.
Excellent easy instruction, pulled pump out near flooded creek, worked fine after this procedure
Ive seen that before if someone has tipped it over or something. I can definitely see that as its a portable setup.
Thanks, just solved my locked engine problem,it had been tipped on its side and the cylinder was full of oil.
Changing the carburetor will be the fix for it just asking
I have a Simpson pressure washer with a Honda motor doing something similar. I pulled it out of storage, checked for oil, put some gas in it and fired it up. It started then died instantly. Now the cord will not pull even with the spark plug removed. I pulled the trigger on the sprayer for a while then detached all hoses and it's still locked up. I can pull the cord out maybe 8" let it retract a inch then pull it out a lil further. Any suggestions on how I should proceed?
I have a freebee push mower. I got it running. used it to trim. It locked up, quit suddenly.
I thought it might be the rod. I put it out back without diagnosing. I will have to try this.
Thanks.
This just saved my day, ur the man, thanks!
Probably was stored sideways or upside down. Oil poured out the breather and into the carb, straight into the cylinder because the valve happened to be open.
+braydensdeals hard to say purchased it with hoses for 50 bucks was expecting something more serious but got off lucky
Just remove the spark plug and pull. Got lucky it work. Thanks
Nice a new pump. That is the way you do it buddy!
you just saved me a headache!!! thanks for the video
BSK Garage, today, before winter, I tried start up my gas snowblower the 1st time. Very easy start, but only ran for 4 min and seized up. Then, the pull rope cannot pull at all. Electric starter ran (just by itself) but not the engine. I remove the front shaft/belt cover. Hand turned the shaft (very difficult). Shaft can turned 360 degree on either way, then cannot turn any more. When I tried to continue turning the shaft, I can heard sound like metal hitting metal. What will be the problem?
just picked up a used briggs 250cc ohc snow engine seized
spark plug dry , going to look further
Oil hydrolocked. could of been tipped over and oil filled the breather and filled the cylinder with oil. the engine is a Honda clone block as Briggs & Stratton slapped their labels and parts on this.
how in the.... what in the... either way one hell of a purchase!
BONUS !!!!! Its nice when things work out on your side once in a while :)
Nice 👍 I just fixed mine the same way thank you🥳
Great buy!
how do i open the spark plug what mesurment
So how do I get the oil out????
I did it 😅 this video helped so much
Thanks my mini bike did the same
nice save
I probably flip over. That's what happened to mine.
The engine has probably been on it's side . I have had this problem 6 times at least .
Float got stuck open. Gas flooded and drained through the intake, the head, and then down to the crankcase overfilling it.-Thus getting Hydrolocked. Either that or some dipshit poured water in the crankcase lol
Yep , looks like it's been tipped over . Nice
great all these vids are stand alone, none of them flow into the next and none follow any sequence. the end finishes with questions that are never answered in the f/u vid that is no where to be found.
+Libs worstnghtmare it's not my problem you can't figure it out.
I think you filled it up with oil.
i think a union worker did to delay production
jerry bskorner LOL!!!!
Not always a shit show. Pretty sweet deal. Good for you.
sometimes it works out
Thank u so much bro your the shit
your all wrong it's an engine that runs on engine oil not gas . The theory is if you put engine oil in your gas tank it keeps the gas tank nice and lubricated . umm yes thats what I tell my customers . and then hand them a shovel to pick it all up . MO's Marine and Small Engine .
MFBT don't cha know!....
