Otherwise you don't just jump into a hole and then immediately open the most nearby door while hearing nearby footsteps, this person clearly wanted Ornifex ASAP. If you have knowledge of her then certainly you have knowledge of what's only 10 feet away from her. You're not wrong, the player is killing the frogs but you misunderstand. I'm referring to the player not killing them before opening the door. Because believe it or not: This is not the first time this has happened to someone on a video. Hope this clears it up. :)
It's possible to drop here, but a bit tricky. Also resting at bonfire without dying or using homeward bone will teleport item to place where mimic was. Probably restarting game can do the same, but im not sure.

they literally were killing them but the basilisk mist procced petrification and killed Ornifex
