- ITA Airways Business Class Experience:
Recently, I flew with ITA Airways in business class from Amsterdam Schiphol to Rome Fiumicino Airport. The flight was operated with one the Airbus A320 Neo aircrafts which have recently arrived in ITA Airways' fleet.
The A320 Neo is a great aircraft and you could tell that this one was brand new. I sat in the first row and my seat was 1F. Plenty of space!
I think that ITA Airways did a great job. In Amsterdam, we departed with a small delay which is not unusual. However, the delay was compensated in the air and we landed in Rome on time. The inflight catering didn't disappoint. A very good lunch was served. The cabin crew was extremely helpful and friendly. In Schiphol Airport, ITA Airways' business class passengers can take advantage of KLM's business check-in counters, fast security lane and Crown Lounge in the Schengen area of the airport.

ITA remains one of the few European airlines that still serve a beverage on 1 hour flights instead of water. Never thought that would one day be impressive!! The lunch looks quite nice. I love salami sandwiches. Only flew them from bari to Rome. Crew were nice.
Well, on international flights I think they still serve a drink and choice of cookies or salty crackers in economy. I also think that this lunch was quite good.
I don't know what will happen under Lufthansa. The LH airlines no longer offer complementary service in economy while the fare have increased.
On Swiss only got water and a tiny chocolate. Am flying ITA Business to Athens from Rome; was only 90 Euros more. Worth it to use the lounge as we will spend 6 hours connecting. Worth checking difference.
10:13 flying over Manziana (45km north-west from Rome), if you were on the left side of the aircraft, you could get a clean (thanks to the brand new window) sight of Bracciano Lake.
Haha it's the first time I've seen that on an airplane they serve you a panino al salame.. but the meal seemed quite well stocked.. how did you find yourself with ITA? the service on Alitalia was quite high.. glad that the flight was exelent but how was the aircraft?

The meal was quite extensive. There was also a salad with sun dried tomatoes and walnuts, cake. The aircraft was a brand new A320neo. I also have to say that ITA seems to have selected the employees who speak good English. That was not always the case with Alitalia.

i noticed they serve too much carbs on their intra european business class flights, cost cutting?
Amazing video! Just got couraged to buy my first ever business class ticket (since it was just 30 euro more expensive than economy classic) from AMS to TRN via roma on ITA airways! Very excited to try this product, the meal for sure looked amazing.
I know I shouldn't be that excited since its just a european business class, but for an avgeek, this is the best ticket i can have haha!
Maybe you will also have time to check out ITA's lounge in Roma.

@@donnatravel there are two ITA lounges in Roma Fiumicino - Piazza di Spagna (flight to intercontinental and non-Schengen destinations) and the Hangar Lounge (domestic and Schengen flights). If you are flying Business, you can use the lounges.
