+daniel mcdermott ...........This is a terrific song. Recorded mostly at Nellcote in France. It was mixed in California by Jagger and Andy Johns. The horns and the back up vocals {singers from a church in L.A.} were done in Los Angeles..........Satisfaction was a mind blowing song for its time. 1965. I was 12 years old. I was at a summer camp in New Hampshire when it first started playing on the radio in July of 1965. We'd be out playing catch or throwing rocks {raising hell} and we'd hear the first guitar notes of Satisfaction coming out of the radio and we'd run as fast as we could back to the cabin and gather by the radio. It was so unique for its time. The words to Satisfaction are indelible too. As true today as they were at the time. Mick Jagger and the Stones had gotten done touring the states {did you know on their first American tour they played a gig in Ft Worth Texas with 57 people in attendance} and been very much impacted by what they'd experienced in the states............."A man comes on to tell me how white my shirts should be, tells me he can't be a man if he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me"...........you can imagine the effect those lyrics had on young people in 1965 {I liked Satisfaction........but the older kids 15-16-17 at the time they went wild over it. They thought it was the coolest song they'd ever heard. So no. I don't think Let it Loose {a terrific song} has the same effect as Satisfaction which is arguably one of the greatest singles of all time.

Satisfaction still is a haunted and charming song...that intro riff is undoubtly the most remarkable and recognizable in broad Rock history. A guy like Keith Richards just became a legend at age 21 only for comming up with that riff that has change the way many people listen music today.
