Keith Richards, never be a musician like him again who personified so much Cool.
😻
Totally agree. This is such a gem, and so 'Stones' at their core. Everyone knows the hits, but this to me is such a pure Stones vibe. Lovely, dirty, heartfelt and ballsey. How this stayed off Exile is beyond me.
Had Jagger written the lyrics at that point or did he write them when he added his vocals for this release?
Something about this song, maybe even moreso than any other song on Exile, this takes me back to that time. Does anyone agree that this song makes it feel like that time period?
Exile on Main St. is a masterpiece...can´t stop listen to it... Exile , Sticky Fingers and Let it Bleed are Stones essence...
This is one of the best rolling Stones songs I've heard in 60 years!
I love the Stones! When I was 13 years (in 1975) old I felt in love with this great band.My father gave me for my birthday my first Stones LP.The beginning of a collection!
Hell yeah sista!
*I thought you needed my lovin',*
*But it's my heart that you stole!*
To have this as my all time favourite album for most of my life is, in its self, a blessing. To then have these prev. unreleased gems grace my ears is nothing short of pure bliss. Stray Cat/Ventilator Blues has it
It was a good album from the stones that fit in with their great ones.
You Lucky Barstard!
I only discovered it in 2000 when I went back to Boxing.
Both were a move out of the darkness into the light.
I love reading wonderful comments like yours. Thank you for sharing.
The greatest Rock n Roll Band in history, they lived and breathed it.
So many great albums. Aftermath, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile On Main Street, Goats Head Soup, It's Only Rock-'n'-roll, Some Girls. Also some of the greatest singles Jumping Jack Flash/Child Of The Moon is 1 of my all time favourite's.
Child of the moon , and under. my thumb , put the stones into my veins ....life long ...forever ...great minds think alike
This is pure Stones I remember their S.T.P 1972 and 73 saw them at that time and going to see them this week again with my son I never thought that 41 years after standing in line all night as a 16 year old I would be bringing my son on what will be maybe their last tour.Would not miss it for nothing.
They stoled yoursoul :)
Best rock and roll band ever. Hands down. Timeless.
Esteban B exactly !!!!!
whats wrong with plunderd my soul help
Ladies and Gentlemen: For.your delight and delectation, the coolest gentlemen in the history of Rock and Roll. Been in our lives forever,we grew up listening to their music, and they're still packing out stadiums around the world. The Rolling Stones!
Wow, surely one of the more obscure Stones tracks, still better than any other band could muster. Amazing!
It's one youtube since for the less 20 yrears...
whats obscure about this?
Larry and i use to bye Exile every year to see if anything changed! then one year it finally did! They snuck this masterpiece in !! RIP pal!! :(
No, it isn't you. This is my favorite Rolling Stones single ever and I only heard it for the first time maybe two months ago. The vid is just perfect. It simply captures my favorite Stones period musically and also the 70's rock and roll experience. The 70's as far as I'm concerned was and remains the era that brought us the best rock music, best r&b, best soul, and best country. Heading out of American Bandstand and straight into Soul Train but before Studio 54.
To you young people under 40 ..this is the real deal
When rock stars were the real thing.
Love Exile….the entire output from late 60’s though Some Girl’s is phenomenal. I can’t believe this is a first for me hearing this amazing tune….love it. Thanks
this first ever listen is kinda choking me up - a blast of sweet melancholic nostalgia .
Good opening track to any Stones album Too good to be left in the can.
I thought you needed my lovIINN But-it's-my-heart-that-you-stole! I thought you wanted my lovIN but you plundered my soul!
Amazing Stones song. I'm always impressed by every song I hear of theirs, but this is one of the best.
I would give an arm to have been in the house of Keith in Nellcote (Costa Azul) during the recording of "Exile on Main Streets". No other band could have created one of the best albums in history to the conditions (in this time Keith, Anita, Bobby Keys ... compulsively using heroin) in which this was recorded.
This video is wonderful, her images transport you to another era in which to be a rock star was tops. Thanks for all these videos, your channel is very interesting.
Plundered My Soul, Love It!
Love the song, love the video, love the Stones.
Let’s all go back in time to ‘exile’ ✌️♥️
again another great rolling stones tune
Yes Matthew it sure is they were so raw We not only listened to their music they created a whole new fashion they taught us how to be creative. When they toured in 1972 and 1973 people stood in line for 2 or 3 days before just to get tickets...
Not too many people have heard this track! It's my favorite from exile!
GOD said, " let there be light, " and soon after Jesus-#1.....and then the Stones....yeah baby !
Amazing 70's Rock & Roll!!!
I have never heard this tune, Great late night find,
One of my favorite films of any kind ----
exile is the greatest production of the 20th century
I think it really could be huge on the radio! You radio DJs should take a chance!!!
wow .... the usual good job of Stones ....
This would be the biggest hit for 2020! For rock radio! Imagine that!
Nadie me hace vibrar tanto como Estos bellos seres. Gracias por hacer tan buena musica y acompañar mis viajes con sus melodias . Me transforman , SIEMPRE .
Alma liberada es mi ser cuando estoy a su merded. (L)
2:28 Coolest person to ever walk the planet.
Everyone comments on that moment of ol Keef!
2:31 even cooler. The real lead guitarist
Peaceand Quiet MT does look so fucking cool
Did u say Tumbling Dice is weak? If so check it out again!
Yup
i discovered this song last Dec via this video. I love it. Keep watching it over & over.
I moved into my dorm at college w/ Exile on Main Street casette tape blaring in my used Pontiac Ventura. It was a beautiful Fall day in New England. A pretty cute girl walked by & just looked @ me & my buds with this huge smile.. guess she liked the Stones too. I always remember that, that smiling girl. Impossible to forget. Just one of those things.
Love the song. wish they had printed it back then.
Back when The Stones were a gang of pirates plundering the world. It just doesn't get any cooler than this.
Not only 1 of best albums ever, also a great song.TAYLOR,JONES,KIETH,GOD,SO AWESOME,BUT JAGGERS VOICE SAYS IT ALL. FACT.
One of their greatest songs they ever recorded.
Recorded but not published, not the same
I love this song also I feel they could bring it back and people would love it.
love this song, love this video
i am so happy that people are sharing there private films and videos ......THIS MY FRIENDS IS ROCK AND ROLL...........
Mr.Janssens: apart from "Tumbling Dice", "Happy" and "Ventilator Blues", this completely superb song could replace any other song from Exile. Not that those songs are weak. It's just that "Plundered My Soul" is the greatest "forgotten beneath studio piles of tapes" ever recorded. IMHO.
Rocks off, torn and frayed, loving cup, shine a light, just wanna see his face, rip this joint, all down the line, sweet virginia all at least need to be on the original Exile, Mr GraachAhim, so, in my view, there is only limited scope for the inclusion of Plundered (though I 100% agree with you on its merits)
Matthew Lacey Yes, MrLacey.... all songs on your list are undeniably great. But I do believe that "Plundered My Soul" reaches the same level of excellence. Cheers.
its funny for some reason i ussaly skipped it. but i was riding with my music and it came on and i realised that its actually a really great song.
Its a really great song. Micks vocals are from when it was released but Keith back groud vocals are from. 1971-72 it could of been on original Exile imo
Anything Mick Taylor plays lead on is Golden....
2.29-2.30 The coolest man on the Planet.
What a life !!! Great song
1:47 a 1970 Camaro - I love it. My brother had a 70 and I had a 73 and a 77 Camaro. Ahhhh the days.... decent song too I am surprised it took this long for it to pop up
It was on the Re released Exile from 2010 . with 10 added tracks. You should get it !
I'm glad my dad raised me listening to their music.
I like the little bit o' Tumblin' Dice at 00:22. Nice touch!
I love Traveling Riverside Blues. Great tune by an awesome band.
Está canción me lleva a mis días a brotas. brasil! ! La música es mágica
The worlds greatest rock n roll band, they prove it over and over again !!
I love every song they've ever made.
I only had to let the song play for 30 sec to like it! Wish I can say that bout today's music
So interesting..I like Watching this old movies With the stones...thanks from France
I love this song!
This is an amazing song! so powerful.
- Lead Vocals: Mick Jagger
- Electric Guitars: Keith Richards & Mick Taylor
- Bass: Bill Wyman
- Drums: Charlie Watts
- Piano: Nicky Hopkins
- Background Vocals: Lisa Fischer & Cindy Mizelle
This vid is better than the main one. Something about this song that grows on ya. I know Jagger's vocals were redone, but when I listen to this song and watch this video it takes me back to 1972 like I was there when actually I was still in my mom's womb.
This video is just a mash-up from Cocksucker Blues.
Icons ❤️🍷🌹 of Centuries
How did Mick & keef keep this gem off of exile..such an amazing time period..no wonder the black Crowes just did 1972
Here we go again 2020. Ty to the greatest rock band ever.....
Amazing song.
Grandiosi
Loved the photos of mr muddy waters
The Kings of Rock'n' Roll of all ages.
who cares about getting old when nothing anywhere near this cool is anywhere on the horizon : P
Love this video !
incroyable chanson, fantastique j'adore les Stones
this is the first time ive ever heard this song. this last week ive learned 7 new stones songs.. its been a good week.
This was released as a single in Both itunes, and 7-inch vinyl format in 2010, It was backed with a live cut of She Was Hot from 1994.
0:43 I like how keith get's up with his drink in his hand shaking his head :')
Love these guys
The greatest live rock band in the world. Especially thru the late 60s thru the 70s. IORR.
Totally agree with that, some great bands around in the era, from 69 onwards the stones set the standard of how big it would be, if you have the audience that is which is something that they had in abundance, globally, some great big names bands wise had a support slot on their tours which they were more than grateful to be on due to the fact that it didn't get any bigger
Actually, Early 60s onwards…
Rolling Stones - Plundered My Soul - Stones in Exile !!!
superb time for music by the stones!
The worlds greatest.rock and roll band
LOVE this song! :))
MAGISTRAL !!!
Es sin duda la época más narcótica del Sr Richards y también la de sus mejores temas.

Shitttt... No words... just beautiful!!! Beautiful filmmaking, beautiful song and BEAUTIFUL band members!! Wow this video, just the sheer EXILE-ness in which it's drenched.... ahhh how can this, how can the Stones, NOT be the love that keeps everyone happy! ;)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️vi adoro. ! Bei ricordi !! Angie
I will always love you meggan !!
We had our own nellcote back then (72)....penthouse of a beachhouse in milford ct. lookin over L.I. sound....those days were priceless
tearsfrom my heart...
The grove and the lyrics were worth the deal with Jimmy even after because strong fumes still existed
amazing!
your learning my friend,my two favourite bands
From what I understand, this was left off "Exile" as it was too similar to "Tumbling Dice." OK, fair enough ... but to not put it on any album thereafter? This is such a great, classic-Stones sounding song. The overall vibe of hearbreak and regret. The lyrics: "I smelled rubber, and soon discovered you were gone for good." "You'll be a hard act to follow, a bitter pill to swallow." Oh Mick, we've all been there. This song would have been perfect on "Black and Blue." Great video, too.
great job brother...thanks !
I always thought he said " I F!@# Anita, My Honaaaay!!! But its my heart that you stole!" It would make sense and I was reading Keith Richards Bio at the time but I did not want to be proven wrong so it took me a while to find out what he was truly saying.
Love this song *-*
La banda de rock and roll más grande de todos los tiempos!!!!!!
imagine being in prison and the Stones come driving up Wow....Or your standing at a corner and the Stones drive up.Saw them in 73 and during their 50 and counting tour my son and I sat outside one of the doors of the form they played at hours before the show and we got to see them arrive in different limos I screamed Mick and he turned around and waved all of them smiled and waved at us.
I have countless Stones bootlegs and am still holding out that SOMEDAY these tracks will be released without the modern overdubs. Here, Jagger implements the same methodology that went into Tattoo You -- take unused tracks from the glory years, record new vocals, add overdubs, and release it as a new single.
Ouhi The stones in jumpsuits too❤
I LOVE ROLLING STONES.... THE BEST !!! ( nessuno come gli Stones.... nessuno come Keith... ) the best...
