      True but tony acts like a 3 year old in legends house not to mention it’s so easy to get under his skin and make him want to talk smack or fight. It’s sad, tiny should be old enough to know everyone in the house got tired of him talking constantly he would even tell jimmy hart I’m almost to my point in one conversation. That being said hacksaw is a true loser and disrespectful for what he remarked to tony when tony was telling about the work he does with kids. But then tony made it worse especially at the bar going and standing in his way and basically tryna start a fight to get hacksaw Introuble with the law or wwe. It’s like he knows when he’s doing the wrong thing in whatever way yet he will keep pushing and biting bridges till it’s burnt down...old habits die hard in the case of mr USA 🇺🇸 Tony Atlas. I’d say I hope he changes his behavior but I ain’t holding my breath.

    Seriously, Tony Atlas is a national treasure. I met the man multiple times and even interviewed him once when I was heavy into wrestling and radio. I liked him but didn't realize there was so much to talk about with him. Love this dude more than ever now, mad I missed so many opportunities with him. People might think he is dopey because he doesn't speak well but in all the shoot interviews he is the best, most honest, and candid. He is very smart and funny. I love all of these videos.

    I agree with you Dan. This was one of my favorite episodes as well!
    It appeared you guys were having fun and revealed some interesting stuff.
    When watching Legends House I also thought they were trying to make Tony the bad guy. I really didn't like their follow up episode as I recall. It was everybody against Tony and they made him come out last after everyone already said derogatory things about him.

    • @bostonwrestlingcom

      If anyone enjoyed this episode, glad it was you, Mike! Half the fun is never knowing what direction the show is going to go in once we start as the deal we made was that we don't reveal the topics until the cameras start rolling to give it an organic feel. We've pre-taped five of the seven full-length episodes that premiere WWE PPV weekends from October through Royal Rumble weekend in January, some interesting stuff covering a WIDE variety of topics!

Most people that don't like what he is saying like what they see in the ring, but refuse to understand the business out of the ring that goes on that determines what goes on in the ring.

      @@pbanik thats bcuz hawkings had a disability but before he was disabled he was well educated and coherent. Problem with tony is, we've SEEN that he is poorly educated and not just in speech! U can't give alternative facts when he has shown he's not the brightest crayon in the box, look how vince has used over and over and he STILL praises him, even after the whole "samba simba" fiasco where he was CLEARLY making him a court jester!

    • @pbanik
      @pbanik 3 года назад

      @@Kenbidreddscott I think he gets confused on tax brackets as well as the amount of income an average WWE wrestler makes compared to an average NFL player. I realize the top income tax bracket is no joke, but it's nowhere nearly as high as he claims it to be. As for being educated, I don't know how far his education went. Tony says things that are simply false or not true, or he's confused. I'm wondering if he has mental health issues or has one or more concussions, which might explain his behavior. The Saba Simba and other stereotypes makes me ashamed to be a fan of the industry at times. It's not just the WWE/WWF/WWWF that was doing it. I'm surprised Vince didn't create characters with regards to the coronavirus that was bigoted/racist towards Asians, or something that was similar towards Black Lives Matter and Antifa. He exploited the Iran hostage crisis with The Iron Shiek, the Gulf War with Sgt. Slaughter, Colonel Mustapha and General Adnan, and 9-11 with Muhammad Hassan, who's really an Italian, but The Iron Shiek is actually Iranian, but a supporter of Aytollah's predecessor, The Shah of Iran, and I think General Adnan might be actually an Iraqi. I do wonder if Atlas might dementia or Alzheimer's disease or both.

    • @pbanik
      @pbanik 3 года назад

      @wolfman02 That sounds very gruesome, but considering the type of person Saddam was, it's totally believable. Iranians are mostly Shias, and Saddam was a Sunni, so it's unlikely The Iron Shiek would like this guy either, but to be honest, I don't know what type of Islam The Iron Shiek is an adherent to, but my guess would be Shia, based on his birthplace. I didn't ever know General Adnan had a book out. I will have to put it on my shopping list of books to purchase and eventually read.

Living with Pat Patterson in a house for $5k ?" Then he was trying to do the count on how many and the way Dan's Boston accent phrased it was "And you were eig"- Which sounded like "You were ray-p.." as he was trying to say "and you were eight". I'm still laughing. Hope there was no bear skin run in the Legends House for Tony's sake.

    Idk why host getting so bent outta shape bout it. Tony would know lol. Most people have no idea what the next person is making. This is like for major sports only and they have unions and insurance and most inportantly... protection.

    Tony and his thinking and his lower level of financial intelligence is indicative of why wrestlers have no union, no benefits and they get less money than any other athletes on average but why the promotions are hundred million dollar and billion dollar entities. The host just said they make 8 percent of the global revenue before taxes and when he was trying to school Tony, Tony’s responses were: “nope no, don’t tell me I don’t wanna know.” There’s no way that football players are paid more than wrestlers who work the whole year and international where the nfl only brings in money from the USA and Canada and for 5 months out of the year. That’s ridiculous! Football players have a union, benefits and services for their use when working in the league and a damn wrestler can’t even get health insurance! Tony got 9 grand and no royalties for legends house and then the show is STILL on wwe network generating revenue for Vince and company! Wrestlers don’t understand their value and it’s gonna take government intervention to make wrestlers employees instead of independent contractors because there’s nothing about a wrestler that’s not an employee as far as contact obligations go. If you are a truck driver and quit a company, they don’t have the power to say “well you can’t work for 3 months afterwards” but Vince has that in his contract with the wrestlers. What?! That’s what a record company does and they are paying the artists on whole MORE than what even some mid card WWE wrestlers are making. The promoters of wrestling have been getting over on their talent for years but as far as money and percentages go, no one has taken more advantage than Vince. That’s awful. It reminds me of the Chinese workers who were against a union in that American Factory movie and how the Chinese went looking to take advantage of their workers by skirting American safety standards and legal procedures. Why would you wanna stooge for the company that doesn’t want you to have negotiating power?

    • @bostonwrestlingcom
      @bostonwrestlingcom  5 лет назад

      It's simply not true. Henry signed a ten year deal in 1996 at $250k per year that was drastically cut when he didn't improve and was sent back to developmental in OVW. He had a few big years working on top, but other than that wouldn't have been taking home $500k. It's simple math - WWE is a publicly traded company - look at the revenue for a particular year, look at 8-10% of that for the talent, and divvy up that pool.

    Funny that the interviewer refers to himself as "one of the boys" that "we're referred to in the business" (17:43) I'd like to know when this chump with a lisp ever took bumps with the actual "boys" in the business or drew a crowd putting asses in seats as wrestlers say. He's a serious name dropper too, in all of his interviews when some wrestler is mentioned he just can not help himself but to interject saying, "they sat right here in this very seat!" It's cringey when these guys/superfans who used to whackoff to wrestling and stalk wrestlers start playing wrestling promoter and then have close access to these legends.

    Stop talking over Tony all the time. Unless it's a gimmick you're both doing it just looks rude

    Here he is again admitting there was racism in wrestling. As much as I enjoy listening to his stories, I have to wonder how much and when he is “working” us.

      Why would there not be racism in wrestling?
      Not saying it was the 2nd coming of the KKK, but racism and sexism is involved in just about every other form of entertainment (why would it be any different in wrestling?).

      There is racism everywhere. He has worked for Ole Anderson who was considered one the biggest racists in the sport, by several HOF wrestlers.
      Is your real concern that it exists, or that he saw it? 🤔🤔🤔

    Tony sounds like an anti union republican. thats very unwise to advocate not knowing the wages of others in the business.

      It would have helped so many legends and veterans that ended up broke, bitter or both.
