@Joesph West, I agree with you! I just finished reading "ATLAS: Too Much, Too Soon" and it's a must read if you are a Tony Atlas fan! I picked up the kindle version on Amazon but if you want a physical copy I believe you have to go to www.crowbarpress.com
Yeah man! I love that book. I don’t think that anyone who’s ever written a wrestling book about themselves was so raw and honest with their experiences, bad, good or indifferent. Tony’s awesome. I love that Nikolai Volkoff crow story that he relayed (and his account of it and the accuracy of the retelling was right on target!).
If I said it once, I'll say it a thousand times, Tony Atlas may not be the most articulate speaker and may be considered an ignorant country bumpkin but his stories are genuine and his memory is encyclopedic and you could tell that he is a damn good friend...Facts.

Exactly my thoughts. Tony is sincere, and has a lifetime of experiences in the wresting world that he is willing to share with us. I have a lot of respect for Tony.....I only wish the interviewer was less showman and more interested in helping propel the narrative of the topic.

Man, I'm binge watching Mr. USA this week. I hope there are episodes where he can just talk freely. Everything he says is captivating. I like hearing about the wrestlers, but his rabbit trails are so enthrallingly interesting that I forget about the topics too. He's definitely my fav guest I've seen here.
I was a student of Don McMahon karate before Killer Kowalski moved in. Roomed with Franco Martoranna. Started going to Boston Garden every month from 78' to 83'. After Vince killed the Golden Age of House shows as far as I'm concerned wrestling died. I'll never forget seeing Tony and Ernie the Cat Ladd. And Tony is right if you can't see these guys in person you loose interest.

Wonder Woman was the only female superhero to have their own book for the longest time. Plenty of superheroines were around at that time including Black Canary, Black Widow, Wonder Girl, Batgirl, the Scarlet Witch, the Wasp, Polaris, Hawkgirl and Marvel Girl.

Last time wwe had a televised show in the state of Maine was in the early nineties!!!! They should have raw or smackdown at the civic center in Portland there's no double level so wont look to good on tv but there will be over 9000 people jammed packed in the building!!
I agree with Tony killing off WCW hurt the business. Vince could have easily kept it going and did crossover matches between WCW superstars versus WWE superstars.

I know the wwe is only in nh once or twice a year some years maybe not at all so he cant possibly be in maine more i wouldnt think. And mr. McMahon has made the access to stars harder and harder. Back in the 80"s and 90's i met and hung out with many many wwf/wwe stars including mr atlas. Now try meeting and hanging out with roman or bray or any star even a midcarder.

You knew the wrestlers were staying at the cheapest hotel near the venue and drinking at the most popular bar or the hotel bar.

There was NO conspiracy to keep the women wrestlers ( Wendy ) down. Vince is good at his job and had to realize women just don't draw that much. as for Wendy, I think Vince just decided that run was over and he was going to hit a fade out of the Wendy push. Vince would NOT take money out of his pocket just to keep the women down. Get real, Tony.
Let me ask you a question, if the women wrestlers was doing just bra & pantie matches, will they not draw?
No Wendy was over huge and was mostly responsible for the rock and wrestling connection. It was her that got them on MTV not Hogan. The problem was she asked to be paid according to what she was drawing and wouldn't sign a contract right before going into the ring before she read it
That's why Vince screwed her, and women's wrestling suffered for years because of it. She was still in the middle of a huge push when it happened and vince fucked hisself in the process because he had a female Hulk Hogan on his hands and didn't want to pay her

to other women and a real amazon and believable and was the first female in wrestling to be on talk shows like david letterman show and took wrestling more serious instead of bra and panties matches. and first to be in king of the ring royal rumble intercontental champion. and then wwe screwed her there is a video on here were chyna and her manager is calling wwe headquarters asking about her royalties and the person says they are not allowed to deal with anything about her. also she was going to be the tx in terminator 3 but Vince McMahon bad mouthed her to the movie studios.
@@russblack443 Vince's built that reputation of screwing people (men and women) on his own. If he employed children, it would not be surprising if he tried to screw them too. You're correct about Richter being over almost to the degree as Hulk, and Vince wanting to screw his employees to try to save some money even if they drew huge is just dumb on his part. The Attitude Era was done out of desperation, since Vince wanted his product to appeal to children and families, not young adult males. That's why WWE has revisionist history that paints them in a positive light, as opposed to the actual version of what really happened, or the truth. The Chyna situation is a good comparison, but Chyna was an exceptional athlete. I don't know how many people (never mind women and girls) have that kind of genetics, and could build a physique like that.
What doesn't Tony understand about supply and demand? IF there isn't demand for female wrestling action figures then businesses wont make them. Why doesn't he barrow a bunch of money and produce female action figures? Is he sexist, does he hate women? Of course not, but he knows they wont sell. Same thing with wrestling promoters they don't want to hold women back. But If fans don't want to go see women wrestling bookers wont book those matches. Simple and has nothing to do with sexism. It's funny watching Tony virtue signal, lol!!!
