The WWE product has been in the toilet for the last 5-6 years. Vince relies too much on past stars and fails at building current stars. Also, just like Tony said the shows are too promo heavy. RAW is a 3 hr show but opens with 20-30 min promos or segments. You need to open RAW with WRESTLING.

The problem with the WWE is that it is too much entertainment and less wrestling. The matches are too predictable when it comes to outcomes and storylines. AEW will bring wrestling and pure athleticism.

I must agree with Tony Atlas WWE New Era does too much talking not enough wrestling. For example, the Street Profits gimmick sucks so bad I switch to playing WWE 2K19 for PS4 instead. I couldn't tune in looking at folly anymore; it drives me nuts. I truly want those so called WWE writers fired, and immediately seek out professional wrestling writers.

I love Tony but saying Kofi isn't good enough is messed up. Wrestling has changed Tony. Not everyone has to be a body guy anymore and workers have changed tremendously.
wrestling has changed, its unwatchable garbage and Kofi is TERRIBLE, little midget that nobody fears.
And none of these modern "workers" know how to work or can draw a dime. Just because something has changed does not mean it's for the better.
His whole point is that pro-wrestling is supposed to be about suspension of disbelief. The same way we do with movies or TV shows. In the real-world, guys the size of Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, etc don't look credible as a World *HEAVYWEIGHT* Champion. You see what I'm saying. Not saying that a smaller-person cannot beat up a larger-person, it just has to be done right. When you saw HBK back in the day defeat much larger-opponents like Razor, Diesel, Yoko, Sid, and Taker it was always done by the skin of his teeth and sometimes help from outside-sources.

Kofi beating Samoa Joe clean just doesn't make sense, but I'm sure he doesn't care. He's getting paid far more than he ever did in TNA. They've made Joe look like ass the majority of his time in WWE. That's why people like Joe, Asuka, Nakamura, Ziggler, etc stay in WWE despite being made to look like oafs. Money talks.
However, one only needs to go back to the 2017 PPV _Great Balls Of Fire_ and see Samoa Joe beat Brock Lesnar within an inch of his life to where Brock BARELY scrapped by with a pin to see how unrealistic it is for Kofi to just go over him with ease.
I say all that to say this. The WWE title has ZERO credibility anymore. ZERO prestige. If they can put the belt on Jinder Mahal, they can put it on anyone. So I guess in this day and age Kofi being the WWE Champion is a microcosm of the state of WWE in general.
@@jamie.777 Champions aren't meant to be feared they're meant to be revered. No one was afraid of Bruno, Flair, Backlund, Andre, Hogan, Ron Simmons, Vader, Bret Hart, John Cena, or even the Undertaker. And Kofi isn't terrible his booking is. It's also not about the wrestling anymore it's about entertainment and that's why it can be considered trash.
Tony should be happy for Kofi but he still lives in the past. Bert Hart was the greatest wrestler in my opinion. He wasn't a huge muscle guy.
