The three all time greats from this recent era have all been able to win at least 80% of their matches at all 4 GS events. Novak .918 at the Australian, .852 at the French, .893 at Wimbledon, .883 at the US. He is 361-48 overall at the GS (.883) Rafa .828 at the Australian, .974 at the French, .829 at Wimbledon, .848 at the US. He is 314-43 overall at the GS (.880) Roger .872 at the Australian, .811 at the French, .882 at Wimbledon, .864 at the US. He is 369-60 overall at the GS (.860) Borg almost surely would have... but he only played at the Australian Open one time - in 1974 when he was just 17. He went 1-1 (for a .500 record). Borg was 40-9 at the US Open (.816), 49-2 at the French (.961) and 51-4 at Wimbledon (.927) - for an astonishing 140-15 record at the 3 GS events that he played (.903). The Australian Open was played on grass during all of Borg's career. If he had played there - he probably would have had similar results to what he did at Wimbledon.
@@lukeinvictus He wasn't that good on hc tho . 74.1 % on hc and only 4 titles , no slams , you can say that the AO wasn't that prestigious at the time but the same does not apply to the US Open which was a full fledged slam the same as the FO and Wimbledon . Longevity is important in tennis as evidenced by the big 3 .
Three players have won 90% of their matches at the Australian Open: Novak 91.8%, Connors 91.7% and Agassi 90.6%. Two players have won 96% at the French Open: Rafa 97.4% and Borg 96.1%. Two players have won 90% at Wimbledon: Borg 92.7% and Sampras 90.0%. None of the players have won 90% at the US Open. (Alcaraz is 12-2 for 88.9%. Sampras was 71-9 for 88.8%. Novak is 88-13 for 88.3%.) Only six different players have won 90% of their matches at one of the GS events. Bjorn Borg is the only men's player to have won 90% of his matches at two different GS events.
As of right now, alcaraz’s win percentage at Roland garros is 84%. His win percentage at Australian open is 70%. His win percentage at Wimbledon is 90%. His win percentage at us open is 88.9%.
Nadal #6 at US Open... and some people still see him as only a clay court player. Rafa has more hard court grand Slam titles than anyone but Novak, Roger and Pete.
meaninles, you need a standard sample for a true valid comparison, a range of years or matches, because is your sample is to small the % will be higher and as a result you will be having a barely playing slams like Alcaraz having higher % than djokovic!
Tied with Sampras and Connors at USO. AO - Novak alone. W - Federer alone. FO - Rafa alone. Novak has 2 more years to change it and lead in 3/4 Slams alone. 9 x W and 6 x USO.
Nice stats but a bit meaningless as it doesn’t take into account how many years they played so it would be better to provide stats for 5, 10, 15 year and total career periods (only including those who have reached the milestone or retired in case of total career stat). Possibly years with major injury or recovering from shoulder be excluded.
Djokovic. 💪💪👑🏆👍
Rafa at 97.4% at Roland Garros is just insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s an unbeatable all time record for sure! VAMOS RAFA! 🤩💪🏽🔥
97% winning rate at Roland Garros is literally cheating. 💪

Bjorn Borg... #1 on grass and #2 on clay! Soooo impressive.
ppl dont realize borg was like the big 3 without the longevity

Some of these guys barely played the slams to get that percentage to say compared to Novak, Rafa & Roger
Wow Djokovic 🐐
You forgot Pete Sampras at the US Open. He was 71-9 with 5 titles (88.8% for second best).
I made a mistake with the US Open numbers. Thanks for noticing.
goat djokovic
GOAT NOVAK DJOKOVIC!❤
Percentages for US Open are not correct, but order is fine.
Percentages are copied from Australian Open list (not by player, but by order) 😅

Only two players are in the top ten at all 4 GS events... Novak and Rafa.
One could say that places them as the top two all surface players.
Yeah that's correct, I think Novak is the only one with above 80% on all surfaces. I'm not sure if Nadal, but he' probably close is just there.
@@takodanobaba - Novak, Rafa and Roger have all won over 80% of their matches on all 3 surfaces at the slams.

Roger the GOAT !
Did not think Alcaraz is leading uso winning rate
He has only played 18 matches at the US Open, which is why he has such a high winning percentage.
@@WeLoveTennisRUclips well he won 16 out of 18 matches which is 88.9%, not 91.8% 😅
Pete won 71/80 - 88.8%
Novak won 88/101 - 87.1%
Roger 89/103 - 86.4% etc
I mean your order is correct, but percentages are not
Now I see that you used percentages from the list of Australian Open for Us Open 😅
@@WeLoveTennisRUclipsThat's true but usually you have a lower winning percentage so early in your career.

This is so inaccurate... guys with over 80% winning ratio & they don't even come close to winning the major...

Federer won the Most at Wimbledon
With 8 wins but How come at 4 spot ?
Regarless, RF stil the better player in 2 of the 4 grand slams
Federer king of grass
