@nick fit What's impossible ?? Joker had only 1 slam till 2010 and in those days he and Murray were rated almost equal. Later jojer ascended, matched fed and Nadal while Murray had staggered slam wins. He was included in big 4 as pundits believed he had the game to disturb other 3 but he faltered. As you admit he got no 1 so he was supposed to at least win ten plus slams but he fizzled out. Mentally Murray wasn't as strong as big 3 as 8 losses in finals reflect that. So it's a terrible record , playing second fiddle to big 3 when those days it was only fed and Nadal is no excuse. After 2012, jojer had feds number but Murray never had slam success against fed. Nadal at rg can be excused but rest shows he was over hyped. Novak made huge grounds but Andy couldn't capitalise. Hence his 3 slams is a mediocre record considering jojer has 22.
The term Big 4 was never about Grand Slam wins. The term came about because for a period of time the semi finals for nearly all the big tournaments were Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray. Between them they were winning the Grand Slams and Masters, and filled the rankings of 1-4. Nobody else was getting a look in. During that period Murray's ranking fluctuated between 2 and 4 (dropping down once when he was out injured for a bit). This was before Murray became number one.

That's why he's no big 4....
Very poor record for a player who's accom8dated with big 3 just to assuage brit pride
@@abeguy7981 He had an impossible task, yet he did a terrific job, And he even managed to get Nr. 1 in this company of the all time greats.
@nick fit
What's impossible ??
Tony Roche won the French in 1966 but it wasn't during the Open Era...
😀👍
Medvedev 1-4
Nadal always luckier than Federer in many ways. Federer will be regarded always as a much more skilled and heavily talented player , whereas Nadal and djoko will be regarded always as much much more lucky players
In any case, the three have the greatest track record 👍
Nadal has heavy topspin forehand which helps him in clay..
It's a skill, not luck..
Joker has best return game which even sampras envied..
It's askill..
U can't win 20 slams byluck
Winners make their own luck. Simple as that
tell me what "luck" Nadal has had...hell Federer got the MOST luck when Nadal had tendonitis in both knees losing RG in 2009...Had he not been injured, not only would of Federer never got that RG title, he would not have won Wimbledon that year either, with Nadal out as well as defending champion...If you say Federer is more skilled, then he should of had more GS titles...but he doesn't, even though he has played way more slam tournaments for less wins....
Federer won all his Slams in a weak Era. As soon as Nadal and Djokovic came into their prime, his time was essentially over. I've seen great analysis of this and Federer was great in the weakest Era in tennis in a long time.
