this actually sounds kind of happy unlike the original because the original made it sound sad and bittersweet
well the original is sad and bittersweet, this is more along the lines of the smiths where the music is upbeat but the lyrics are sad.

good thing my tastes for music are very vast. I appreciate every genre from classical to pop to rap to heavy metal, indie, acoustic to techno to trance, electronic. no genre is better than the other 😉 they're unique and good for me I can feel all the emotions and passion from the singers and performers in their respective genre, no matter how calm and soothing or acidic and wild the sounds are, it's still beautiful, it's still music

i expected alot harder of a cover for some reason. great vocals but yall coulda went in at some points, seemed like editing held some of the instruments back.
Staying true to the cover is what did that. Next to no editing if I remember correctly. Most difficult part of this was takin a piano composure, and making it into a full rock production. We wrote literally every aspect of this song aside from base notes and lyrics/vocal melody.
