This is one of the best covers of this song I've heard so far.
Jon Oliver Villavert I wished. - embracing goodbye - had a good cover up of it. maybe its floating around out there but for a more metal hardcore mixture with this song they nailed it.

I love the original song because of the tune's violent power, even though the lyrics have nothing so majestic about them. Unhappily for me, most covers turn it into melodramatic, cute, or plainly teen stuff. Not this one. It's quite different from the original, it has its own personality - what I always like to see in covers -, but it keeps the original violence and power. Best cover I've listened so far. Really great.

Yeah. As much as I like the original, and believe me, I love the killers, I like this punk style version better.
Searched for "Mr. Brightside metal cover" was not disappointed (I know this isn't metal it's punk rock I like both)
