It makes me sad to think that Mommy doesn't seem to know what happened to the orphans. She hates the employees for what they did to her, but when it comes to the kids she only talks about them not coming back and leaving her without any apparent reason. Just imagine the heartbreak she would have if she knew that she unknowingly helped out the company to keep trapping and experiment on the children she loved.
And I know she chases you down for cheating in Statues, and she threatens to tear you apart in her first appearance, but she just wanted the MC to play the games she did with the children. It may sound unlikely, but maybe she gets the way she does because she wants you to stay forever, so she has someone to play with. She sounded excited to find the MC, calling them a 'new playmate.' Mommy Long Legs is lonely, and she probably doesn't want anyone else leaving her. If you were in her shoes, would you rather spend X-amount of years in complete solitude, surrounded by the reminders of the people you loved who left-- or would you welcome the company of someone you hate, just so you aren't alone anymore?
@@amandapanda5087 well consider that Mommy was also cheating. All 3 games were ultimately designed for you to fail. Especially the last one where there was no exit in the game itself. She even mentions how MC deserves to die alone during a game that is practically unbeatable without cheating.
The terrible part about Mommy's death is that, her screams actually sounded real and it's horrifying. It's horrifying that scream sounded like it was desperate and scared, that VA job was incredibly well.
Especially with the distortion This gives more detail to show she was human but also a toy Like a human screaming for mercy but a voice box being destroyed
When it comes to kissy and huggy, i beleive that Huggy (due to his maximum obedience according to a tape) was actually ordered to kill and stalk anyone who came isnside, from the hands of poppy or an employee that could tell him. Kissy is in a more decrepit zone (perhaps a more abandoned and rarely used zone) and kissy could not have been given orders to kill, she has her own free will but huggy does not, rendering him a helpless killing machine.
@@just_some_guywith_a_mask4282 most likley to lure us to a area where we can be killed away from potential witnesses. If it smashed us flat in the entrance room it might be spotted.
Mommy said she “died alone” in the statues mini-game, the 1006 experiment log said someone resulted in a causality all alone. What if Mommy is Marie Payne and she was a scientist for 1006. It would certainly explain why she was so scared to become 1006, and why she had a more personal reason to seek revenge on workers for letting her die alone.
It's interesting how Mommies pupils get really big when she starts her game of "hide n seek" with you. It's sort of like when a cat is on the hunt and the pupils dialates when it locks onto its prey.
My believe is that it was revealing "the darkness". Huggy Wuggy also had their eyes appear almost entirely black when they attempted to kill you. What I find to be potentially telling is that Poppy, when you first meet her, has pure white eyes with blue irises (4:06). And once you reunite with her to make your escape, a blackness has started growing in them, which I think is a physical symptom of "the inner darkness" as I have heard it called (23:22).
I’m surprised nobody is talking about this but it seemed Mommy Long Legs recognizes the protagonist. During statues she states how the protagonist used to work their and deserves to die. While we don’t know what the protagonist used to do at the company, the fact that mommy recognizes them is telling.
She might've recognized us as a staff when she saw our grabpack, or we could've been wearing something that all employees were supposed to have on at work
@@nezukochaaan7320 We don't know whether or not the protagonist would keep a staff outfit as a memory or just forget to get rid of it, but fair. It's probably then the first option, since grabpacks seem to be common equipment employees use.
nobody is talking about the think that grabbed mommy long legs is a cellar spider that grabbed her which her inspiration was from the cellar spider/daddy long legs and betty spaghetty
Hearing how Mommy Long Legs would protect the children from the staff members, punched me in the heart. She was trying to protect those kids from the experiments cause she knew what the kids would go through. This makes Mommy Long Legs not a true villain by heart but a villain who was pushed to the limit of insanity through her circumstances
I think she protected the kids because of what she went through with the staff, thinking they would do some harm to the children but she probably don't know exactly what happened to them because of the voiceline "they played and they never came back, they left mommy to die alone"
I mean, she did get pissed off when they left because the games were over and the kids had no interest in her. That or I’m getting something wrong again.
Alright, Ill admit, this chapter seems pretty damn good- Even after Mommy's chased and tried to kill you, her desperate cries as shes dragged into the grinder are pretty horrifying and even sad. She seemed to be more than just a killer. Maybe thats just me though
I think she is just a victim of Playtime industry, like many other living toys. It's heavily implied that she used to be human before being used as a guinea pig by the workers. Her lines really show that that cared for the orphan children she was supposed to look after, and the saddest thing is that she doesn't even seem to be aware of what truly happened to them in the Game Station. She suffered a fate worse than death.
To be honest, yeah, hearing her cries as she met quite a terrible fate at the end of her chase saddened me and somewhat scared me to death. She really went through a lot of terrible stuff :'(
Quick theory: The living toy experiments and the child experiments were independent of each other. Living toys were heavily used in the testing at the game station(the Wuggys, Mommy Longlegs, PJ) so they already knew how to make living toys by this point. It’s more likely that the children were involved in the experiments to reverse death.
The fact that Jack septiceye showed up in two indie horror games with a tape functionality and both times were in an area with a toy fabricator and or factory is a wild coincidence
@@OdaSwifteye or that one guy who plays the Mexican "Hector" in like 30 movies. Dude literally just plays one role and all of his characters are actually named Hector 😳
Mommy sounds like she’s in pain when she chases you. Those moans and groans sound super disturbing. And she, as you mentioned, looked and seemed twisted. And when she got stuck she said “YOULL MAKE ME PART OF HIM” as you stated, and then it made sense. Prototype seems to want to use these parts to possibly escape; or even kill the player.
I have a theory as to why poppy suddenly switched personality: maybe she overheard everything mommy said to us and the fact we were an ex employee who was a part of the experiment and originally she didn’t know and acted nice to us to get on our good side
Hmm, I think that's it's because poppy knows about the "experiment" and at the end says we are too precious and that we need to "save and redeem what happened" and i think that she wants us to kill all the toys so that the experiment gets stronger and stronger
I maybe late but I still wanna say that, well, I still kind of like Poppy? (I just watched this and the playthrough so don't believe anything I say.) I can't explain it but, she still looks like someone you need to trust? LIke, your aware, but still aware that you need her to finish the game. She specifically uses "your capable", instead of "you need to do this/do this you have no choice". You understand you don't have a choice but it feels like she also has no choice either. This is in contrast to when she said "you have to trust me", which is like, used by every manipulative character ever. But that would also mean that you have no choice but to trust her, and she also trusts you because she needs you. So there is that mutual need. Also, the way she changes her tone, to me she doesn't look hostile, she just looks disappointed. Kind of like some that gets annoyed when you find out your assignment is longer than you thought because you have no choice but to finish it? And when the protagonist breaks her out of the case she's in wonder "why? why did you free me"? I feel like she knows the protag was an employee and she was wondering why? But after the initial shock she's filled with disappointment at how the employee is not as informed as she thought and she's a bit disappointed that the employee is naive?
I am personally choosing to believe Kissy Missy doesn't attack solely because she just has better things to do. She's exhausted of all this factory bullshit, her husband is dead and she's done with all the drama. She opens the gate and is going to retire to where she stays and get a drink.
Huggy is not her husband. She was put into this toy doesn't mean she likes huggy. The toy before there were any humans inside of her was married to huggy
I'm not sure if anyone else has thought of the same theory, but I feel that experiment 1006 is Elliott Ludwig himself. I feel that after the tragic death (which I believe led to his divorce) drove him to throw himself into his work even more than he had done before. And failing to find a suitable subject to do human trials on he forced his team to do the tests on himself because he had nothing else to lose. The team stopped experimenting on him because they could see how dangerous he was becoming so they kept him under observation but he manges to escape and it using the other parts of the toys to keep him alive.
this could definitely be plausible! idk if there was another reason that was mentioned but that could explain why the factory closed and why the employees are trapped
@@mossathenium_time2513 could also explain why we have never seen a picture of him and they blacked out his face. They are trying to hide his dark actions. Let him have died a hero rather than a villain
At the end of the Mommy Long Legs commercial Poppy was telling us to wake up. Maybe we passed out after freeing her and she decided to explore around the factory. She’s been trapped for a very long time so of course she’s not gonna wait for us to get up.
@@kidpixel4818 good theory. That might be possible but I'm still wondering about who blocked the hallway to the entrance of the Poppy Flower where we first entered to open Poppy's case? Maybe someone was there and blocked it and Poppy saw or just heard someone while trying to wake the protagonist and then followed them but lose sight of them and just decided to get the power back on so the Game Station would work again and help the protagonist escape.
@@Hannah77550mommy wasn’t the one who locked her up I think, poppy was just worried she might because trauma. Because of said barricades and because she said she had time to “reflect” I think poppy was somehow connected to the incident that shut down the factory
I noticed in the scene when kissy missy helps the player, she moves less coordinated than huggy, who moved swiftly when moving. Another thing helping this theory is that kissy needed 2 tries to pull the lever also explaining that kissy has less coordinated movements rather than huggy.
@@kenzieuchiha1191 going with that, and that we know the employees are the ones who adopted the children who were turned into the toys, is it possible the player character could have a significant connecting with kissy
Her arms are hollow but she had finger joints. It makes me feel bad for all the hollow limb plush toys that I had in the 90s. They can't emote, can't blink, permanent smile and constant limp limbs
Holy cow I didn’t notice that when the train crashes, some blood actually splatters onto the locomotive’s floor from the player. This suggests that the player was badly injured from the crash and might entail something to come in the later chapters. Perhaps that the player will become a toy-like figure themselves in an attempt to save their life, or the player will suffer a severe handicap that will come into play later on. If it makes it so you actually die from the fall damage, that’s going to be something for sure.
Wait wat?? I just notice right now but Idk if it's the protagonist's blood cause the blood on the floor might not be our's but the employees like remember every employee disappeared 10 years ago and we do find blood every where in the factory and that little splatter of blood might have been a glitch. But that would be interesting if the protagonist did get injured and the Grabpack did seem like it fall off when the train crashed. In the begining of Chapter 3 we might wake up not in the train but in the Playcare area showing that someone got us out of the train and may have bandage us healed us up from the crashed.
@@Hannah77550 I could be wrong on the blood being the player’s. I only wanted to bring that up because the way the blood splattered just appeared for me seemed like it wasn’t there until after the crash. I may have to look more closely beforehand.
I noticed something bout Poppy’s eyes, the rings around the irises of her eyes extended and slightly altered in colors after you rescue her from Mommy long leg’s web but look like normal eyes early on in Chapter Two. Like how Mommy’s eyes changed when she got into monster mode, maybe it’s their “conditioning” or showing their real selves behind the facade
Oh you noticed too! Poppy's eyes in the beginning seem to be full of life and bright, and at the end they are darker, you don't see the larger portion of blue... I think something has happened to her drastically... maybe she encountered the prototype?
It just is sad seeing how real the cries seemed, and how sad the screams were. She just went against the staff because she wanted to protect the orphans. And they left without, i can't imagine going through something like that. Also, mommy was so scared i could tell by her screams and cries, before she died she also cried out "YOU'LL MAKE ME APART OF HIM!" And by him she meant 1006. Also, heres a theory, Why did 1006 collect mommy right after she died? So basically what im trying to say here is was 1006 following you the whole time?
I think he was following the protagonist Since he probably saw how the protagonist killed huggy 1006 probably went to go to the exact place you would kill MLL
Theories about the protagonist 1. We the player are Elliott Ludwig himself returning to our factory to tie up loose ends 2. We are Rich (the disgruntled employee) who quit in the first place, but returned after being worried on what happened 3. We are a test dummy 4. We are Elliot Ludwig’s theorized dead child that was successful brought back to life and returned to the factory by a key phrase. Similar to Bioshock’s “would you kindly” Edit: wow thank you so much for 2k likes I honestly appreciate everyone sharing your theories and whether or not you agree with my theories I know they may be wrong but that’s the point of theories.
I would assume that “the prototype” is the final boss, a sick and twisted amalgamation of the toys you kill, looking more and more complete the closer to the end you get. But who knows?
I feel like at the end with the train, the train was sabotaged by the Prototype, mainly due to 1 clue, the alarm clock. Back during the tape detailing how the prototype almost escaped, it used parts of an alarm clock to make a laser to disable the cameras. It may be possible that this refers to the prototype integrating said parts into its being, and it could also include the audio system that makes that infamous noise that we hear on the train. It must have felt threatened by Poppy’s plan to right the wrongs of the company so it sabotaged the train and by extension Poppy’s plan, either in an attempt to take out Poppy and the player in one fell swoop or to delay their actions so it can continue its work for longer.
I got something to add to this. Let's assume he wants to escape the factory what if he was on the train? And he was planning to use us as a ticket out of the facility but poppy changing the tracks pissed it off because it was again close to escaping maybe they both want to use us. poppy wants to use us to kill the prototype, and the prototype wants to use us to get out.
I was hoping I'd find a comment talking about this as I too noticed that after like the second time and I am honestly pretty certain that it was the prototype, and I must say I'm also quite impressed with the detail, what a clever yet subtle way to hint at it
Exactly what I was thinking. That ever familiar beeping is just too coincidental, as the last tape that is found is literally about 1006’s attempted escape using a digital alarm clock.
I feel like Kissy is merely biding her time. Allow me to explain: she appears to be initially putting the protagonist at ease by pretending to be friendly and helpful which is only why she opened the gate for him so he could press on. She's putting a generous and non-hostile persona while waiting for the right moment to make her move and when the opportunity presents itself, she'll kill him. Remembering back to what Huggy did in the first chapter. When we first meet him at the beginning, Huggy remained motionless as a statue and then gave us a key to us in order to process further and eventually attacked and chased the player to kill him. See what I mean? Kissy is probably tricking the protagonist into putting his guard down around her by helping him out and waiting for the perfect opportunity to reveal her true, monstrous colors. At least, that's my speculation, anyway.
To be fair I think huggy genuinely wanted to help. The only problem is that you, as a player, fucked up and made a toy. And we all know how unethical making the toys is and how the people trapped inside those toys, like huggy, would hate it.
i dont think she has any reason to do that though, we see her in a desolate area and then never again. with how absent she is the rest of the game i doubt she was even associated with mommy or poppy while they did their thing, lest they would mention her. and huggy was assigned as security, he did his job: eliminating trespassers. we dont know what her role was in the company, but if she was assigned a task killing intruders who somehow got past security, she shouldve reappeared
Tbh I don't know if she'll become our ally or just do what Huggy did in Chapter 1. There is a chance she is helping us then attacking us later on but there is another chance of her becoming our ally and in the deleted scene at the ending when we saw the Playcare sign Kissy walked to the train then she gave us a key before leaving again just like she did before. So I guess MOB Games deleted it cause it confirms that Kissy is gonna be a ally to the protagonist.
The main thing I noticed this chapter was that tape about Elliot. Mainly that “tragic loss” and “ambition”. Seeing how he was “a family man at heart”, it could be very well that he had a daughter who met her end. As someone else in the comments has rightfully pointed out, Playtime figured out how to make living toys BEFORE they began the experiments, so it could be that Elliot stored his daughter’s consciousness in Poppy. That’s why she was locked up in a case; he didn’t want to lose her a second time. Another thing that stood out to me was the fact that we know who MLL was before she became a toy: Marie Payne. Could she perhaps be Elliot’s ex-wife? Who retook her maiden name upon divorcing him? It would explain why she was so hostile towards the employees, but not the children. Because she WAS a mother, before her daughter died in the 1960s. And she obviously seems to hate the Playtime employees, since she said that if anyone deserves to die alone, it’s our protagonist- an ex Playtime employee. As for the Prototype and the experiments? I don’t think Elliot was trying to figure out how to bring toys to life: he was trying to find out how to reverse death. To bring back his daughter. So, he most likely decided to keep the doll containing her soul locked deep within the factory, so that when he found out how to bring her back she would be waiting for him. It would certainly explain why he used children as his guinea pigs: maybe the reason he had the proctors monitor the kids’ health was to find one that best matched the way his daughter used to be? Or the healthiest children to experiment on? And when that failed, he decided to experiment on himself. As a prototype. Think about it. The Prototype has been described as an experiment with above average intelligence. Elliot’s tape explained how he was very bright and innovative. Innovative enough to, say, construct a laser pointer out of a digital alarm clock? Idk, these are all just speculations. Take them as you will.
I’m going to be real it was for best that his character died early in this game 😭 he’s too well known to just do regular voice acting so it comes across as overly staged
I’m not even surprised Poppy betrayed us. Being stuck in that box no doubt changed her way of thinking. She’s had her own agenda as I expected and we are just a means to an end for her.
@@livelyliv3453 in one of the cutscenes, the reason Poppy made the Player go to the Playcare is because she believes that they can help the other toys be free and destroy the hellish of a factory, that is why she doesnt want them to leave so soon. Idk its just something that i’ve been thinking
Seeing Jack there makes me so happy to see these developers incorporating let's players into there stuff. Subnautica did something for Mark, Jack and even allowed Neebs gaming to voice the Altera message to the player about the escape rocket.
A theory of mine is that all of the toys were scared of Mommy. She seems to have the most authority over all of the toys(the ones in the Game Station at least), and she was the one that was personally dragged away by The Prototype. Personally I think The Prototype finds the stronger toys to mold into its body(including some of the other toys as extra parts) As we see when we first meet Mommy she was holding Poppy, and near the end of the dialog when she stuck Poppy's face close to hers, Poppy looks away looking uncomfortable(?) and after we killed Mommy she asks us if we killed her(Mommy) and after we answered? i guess, she said good. I kinda think poppy was salty about Mommy mocking her(?) but maybe another reason for it was Mommy was a stronger toy than Poppy. And Poppy didnt like that. A theory I saw on tiktok was the reason Kissy Missy left so quickly was because she didnt want Mommy to find her/find out shes helping us. Sorry if its difficult to understand, I'm not very good with words haha :') Edit: I've realized a week or more later that I have called this wrong. This is not a theory, it's a thought, I usually have multiple thoughts and "theories" but theyre rarely connected. The thought just pops up and I decided I *have* to connect it to some kind of story cause it's too... random? Yea I'll go with that. So, just so you know :)
she could have served the prototype wanting to be useful to him otherwise she would have been killed and when she was beaten by the player she was scared as her arm was going to be dammed or severed her being scared in that moment as she would be weaker and therefore no longer useful and be used to strengthen him. kissy missy could actual also fear the prototype or be actual more scared of him than her
I think that the scariest part of "The Prototype" is presumed human-like appearance. If you take a look at the 1st part of it's arm, you'll notice 2 bones twisted, crossing over each other. The very same way a human skeleton arm works. So perhaps The Prototype is trying to look more human. Speaking of The Prototype, you know that beeping noise at the end of Poppy's last message to us? A gamer named "Thinknoodles" thought that The Prototype got her. Poppy sounds like she sealed herself somewhere. But with the makeshift laser pointer The Prototype made with "a battery from a *digital alarm clock* as well as other components", The Prototype managed to capture her.
YES i was waiting for someone these things out!! following the beeping noise at the end, Poppy also makes a 'gasping' noise as if she has seen something. the hand is pretty freaky too
These games may be very fun to play, and fun to watch videos about them, but if you exhaust yourself with all of this content, everyone would suffer! Please remember to take care of yourself, Mike.
her eyes are bigger once she’s rescued. If we look at mommy long legs, you’ll see her eyes change when she gets more violent. They are more realistic looking when she’s not violent, but when she turns violent her eyes go black. I saw a video saying that the change in the eyes could represent the change in personality, like a switch in their brain. Maybe all the toys have a dual personality and it is visually represented through their eyes.
Theory: Poppy contains the poppy flower, which could explain why she is locked up. Her hair is sturdy, and won't come out, so it won't be easy to get her head open, where the poppy flower is contained. The name is very convenient as well. Maybe the prototype wanted to take the poppy flower, which is why they also made sure to lock her up. While Poppy planned what to do when she got out, she must be clueless about the prototype, and so she is so eager to set things right, yet the prototype will be stalking you both, and Poppy will not know what's coming to her. Also, I think the prototype took Bron's eyes.
Yeah and the note that you get before going back to the factory says find the flower with a poppy below it. This seems to indicate that he is supposed to be looking for the same flower that could revive subjects like with the rat experiment for example
@@the.gavinaator oh yeah and one more thing I think we can agree the the prototype or experiment 1006 found and captured poppy at the end because while shes talking she sounds like she says "what is that" but it cuts out at the "wha-" part

I feel the need to point out that the letter the protagonist recieved did not in fact claim that the workers were still there. It said that that the workers disappeared and that "we're still here" but it never stated that the "we" are the workers.
@@_marshP but the real question is: who sent it? Poppy was in a case, Mommy and and Huggy went insane, the others are either incapable of writing or also insane and that leaves Kissy Missy... But something tells me its not.
@@breakfast.431 also, mommy didn’t directly attack us until we cheated. Huggy was probably security, or under orders to attack if we went deeper. Neither of them would be likely to send letters because of this. And 1006 is intelligent, to smart for the silly spelling and grammar errors in the letter.
it’s hard to tell whether mommy really knew what happened to the children - but it’s clear she’s angry. after playing her part of the story, i can’t help but feel like she wanted us to go through what the kids went through, since the game center seemed to be a testing area to filter out the smartest kids to use as subjects, and that it’ll be a reoccurring theme in the game. imagine what the kids went through during these tests, how they must’ve felt, and mommy wanted to create that same horror and anxiety for our “protagonist” - he used to work at the factory, so it’s clear he was involved in the testing on some level, not knowing the true horrors of it. but idk lol
Just because Poppy wants to right some wrongs, it doesn't mean she's necessarily good. I worry that she says that 'she was going to put me back in that case' - 'she' could have been mommy long legs, as she seemed to be in charge of the toys. Poppy seemed to have a personal vendetta against killing mommy ( or, having her killed) but deep down Mommy only really wanted to protect the children. Her death is really harrowing to the extent that it's clear 1006 is truly, truly awful (right now my money's on Elliot Ludwig, although I do wonder what happened to Leith Pierre.) All this just makes me wonder why she'd want to lock Poppy away, or anyone would - but clearly everyone prefers Poppy locked up as no-one bothered to free her for 10 years. So maybe Poppy was harming the kids - particularly if she saw no problem with it, getting to stay young forever, and getting what she wanted. Maybe that's Mommy's vendetta against us too, as not only did we work in the factory but we also released Poppy. I think there's something there, but I'm not sure what.
Also don't think poppy has to purely a antagonist as well. Just seems so desperate for friendship or a good kid. I do hope they make the storyline more naunce and complex. Would love to see poppy be a reluctant villain filled with all these other monsters/turned into monsters villains
Ok hear me out on this one. If you compare the 2 models of poppy before the got caught by mommy and after, the white spark in her eyes dissapear and her eyes (not eyeball) seems a little bit bigger. Perhaps she is being controlled?
So I honestly believe that the monster that Sean's character was talking about is PJ Puggapiller. Because he's the only one that fits the description so far of "1000 legs (obviously exaggerated) and 50 feet long". The giant spider though is definitely Mommy Longlegs.
@@TheVeniceAngel I doubt that. We've only seen the fingers, so there's no telling if the rest of the Prototype's body is also that way. The fingers themselves don't even look much like a spider, unlike Mommy Long-Legs' entire body which is obviously meant to be based on a spider. It also makes no sense for the Prototype to be the giant spider because we are explicitly told that the Prototype is the most hostile and aggressive experiment (even more than Huggy-Wuggy and Mommy Long-Legs), so it makes no sense for the Prototype to be wandering the facility where regular employees can see it. It makes more sense for the "giant spider" to just be Mommy Long-Legs, since we know she was allowed to roam the facility (especially the Game Station) and could have accidentally been witnessed by regular rank-and-file employees. The Prototype, however, was too hush-hush to have been allowed these privileges because it definitely would have killed anyone who saw it outside a cage/containment area. So saying that the Prototype is the giant spider simply because of its fingers (not its entire body) just doesn't work.
I feel iffy about making theories as I'm worried that the game devs are gonna see them and try to be subversive and ruin their writing, but some thoughts nonetheless. A. There are either two poppies, or two personalities inside her. B. The Prototype was the first living toy that actually worked, but was too violent to ever dress up. The claw is an amalgamated mess made by it trying to repair it's deteriorating body. C. Kissy Missy is the first appropriately docile living toy they've created.
I honestly wondered if there were two poppies, she just has such a drastic change from before MLL catches her. Also, why would she be willing to initially free a worker just doesn't make sense.
it could be initially that poppy just wanted to escape so that she could find someone to help her right the wrongs (or expose) that happened at the factory and when the player turned out to be capable she decided that they are what she was looking for.
@@suzypilled if u watched game theory mat found a hidden note where it says that 1006 is perfect unlike the others who need to eat making indicating that 1006 isn't the first living toy to be made
The protype hand reminds me of the Beldam from Coraline. Wonder if the final confrontation or overall story draws inspiration from that story at all? The Beldam did lure children in with a perfect fantasy world and fun games before consuming them, using their life force to add to her own, making her somewhat immortal, or at the very least able to defy a natural death. I also find it interesting that the pupils of the cut-outs, as well as the experiments when they become hostile, seem to over take the whole eye making them look a lot like buttons. A lot of the dead small plushies are also missing their eyes. Perhapse it's a flimsy comparison, and may just be coincidence, but I found it interesting nonetheless.
Apparently Stella wanted to be a child forever. There’s a theory she volunteered to be a toy for toy, which is why the toy is friendly But the others weren’t willing so they were vengeful
@@SCP--fj2jr I immediately thought that too since she had a good heart and liked children. But she also probably stays hidden and out of trouble to avoid the other bad toys
Yeah, and that could be the answer... though I'd hold my breath since the reveal of Mommy Long Legs' trailer gave us the red herring detail about her elastic plastic being damaged by extreme heat or cold, and that didn't happen in the game.
Honestly, I don’t know who Stella is. I thought she was Poppy first but now people are saying poppy is the daughter of Elliott Ludwig?? Idk I feel like poppy is Stella @_@ but I understand what you’re going with and I think that explains why most of the toys are so aggressive. They didn’t want this. They didn’t want to be turned into this.
props to the sound design of her shoe slamming against the grinder when she's trying to reposition her leg and the rubbing of her shoe against the ground when trying to escape it later, didn't notice that detail earlier lol
Something I think you should have mentioned is that in the Water Treatment area, in the room where you have to obtain a Bunzo toy, on one wall there's blue fur and blood leading to an open vent in that wall, suggesting that is where Huggy fell to, and that he survived the fall from Chapter 1 'A Tight Squeeze'.
This may be a stretch but what if Kissy Missy is Ludwig's daughter? I noticed that along with Kissy Missy's calm demeanor, she also has trouble controlling her body. Maybe Ludwig's daughter was a toddler went she died so she doesn't really understand what it means to be violent and that's why she's so "simple"?

@@2013Fangirl well thats something to think about actually But She was doing fine with her legs Now im actually starting to wonder what the hell is happening🤣
It’s kind of terrifying to think that between The Prototype and Huggy Wuggy there were 164 other experiments going on on other people. And that those people were most likely children. Now that that thing has both Mommy’s and Huggy’s parts, who knows what it could do, especially considering how smart it seems to be and how vicious it must have been before the isolation in the factory let alone after.
Indeed. Just from Mommy Long-Legs' dialogue, we can tell that The Prototype is easily the "apex/alpha predator" of the Playtime factory; a monster so strong and terrifying that even Huggy-Wuggy would rather be fearful of running into him. Poppy forcing the player to stay in order to help her fix the factory injustices makes perfect sense if The Prototype is so strong and beastly that even the other man-eating toy monsters back away from it in fright.
I don’t know if anyone else saw this, but when Mommy Long Legs starts the game of hide and seek, her pupils dilate to the point where her iris is not visible, leaving the sclera. If you have eagle eyes, all the hostile mobs (Not including Kissy Missy) have these same enlarged iris’. Therefore, when the cannot retain their sanity levels at a certain point, their insanity becomes pretty visible
I think Poppy is actually Stella from Chapter 1 and mentioned in a recording of Chapter 2. It's stated that she quickly rose to a high rank through the company and no doubt probably met the founder and CEO. When she realized what he was trying to do, she probably agreed with him thus her quick promotion and why a lot of scientists all reported to her. However, the motive behind the goal was for different reasons. While he was trying to probably resurrect his dead loved one, she wanted to go back to being a child, or in her eyes become a child again by inhabiting a dolls body. However, since she's in a dolls body she's vulnerable and needs someone to protect her. That's why she keeps saying the MC is perfect which made me curious as to why she kept saying that. According to first video he could never leave a project half finished. When he saw his rat experiment was failing he probably decided to test it on himself resulting in me believing that Ludwig is in the Prototype. The reason behind this is because Stella must've betrayed him in some way resulting I his anger, the prototype is ingenuitive meaning he has high level thinking by turning a clock into a laser pointer to blind the cameras and wait for an opportunity to escape and gain power by assimilating other toys.
And keep in mind Ludwig could be the scientist in the last tape in chapter 1, who claimed that "one breakthrough and I'll be back", so its possible he is indeed one of the future antagonsits we'll face if not the prototype itself
tbh I think poppy is very valid in her change of reactions, she probably realized that every other experiment is out for blood and that everything will be much harder from here out. Would you be cheery if you just got tossed around like poppy did by mommy?

Just a thought: what if the Prototype is the one putting the murderous thoughts in the experiments’ heads? Think about it. Huggy is easily influenced which makes him the most ideal one to make sure the protagonist does not get far in chapter one. Kissy was not as utilized therefore has a free will for now. Mommy is not as influenced by the Prototype but is scared of what he’s capable of, because he’s highly intelligent and much crueler than the people who made it. If she didn’t get rid of the protagonist, she knew she would pay for it eventually.
I wanna point out that Stella's voice change. The first time you hear it you can tell she has accent but when you hear it again it's barely noticeable. Maybe it was a character design choice or ( because i watch to much game theory. To many theory videos in general) maybe it's lore. Or maybe im overthinking about this and she's been in the country long enough for her accent change/died down. Also wanna point out that Mommy's eyes go from the bright green to gray before 1006 takes her
24:49 I couldn't place the noise made by whatever interrupts Poppy, but I just realized why it was a core memory. It's a digital alarm clock. What was 1006's laser instrument of choice? Excited for more theories!
The death being his daughter makes the most since. He’s obsessed with eternal youth and all his work with the orphans. Also, it mentions in the video that he’s divorced so I think maybe the death of his daughter might’ve caused it.
I just wanted to point something interesting out. In chapter two’s musical memory boss battle, during the part in which the game starts to go bonkers, one of the jumbled messages that appear on the screens is “Ray end us” as far as I’m aware, we don’t know of any character named Ray, so could this Ray be someone of importance? Maybe we PLAY AS Ray? Gimme ideas, people!
Side note: did anyone hear the digital alarm clock at the end of Poppy’s final speech? And that in the scientist’s log about 1006, he stated the prototype used part of a digital alarm clock to make a laser pointer? If Poppy heard an alarm clock before getting cut off, and the prototype used an alarm clock as a tool to escape, it’s not unlikely that Poppy was captured by the prototype, and in chapter 3, we will have our first boss battle with the prototype.
@@The_Artist_Official i dont think things would end as fast to chapter 3, i believe chapter 3 will dig more into the swapnimals character instead, while 1006 is hinted again, this time with maybe a view of its face structure?
While I agree that there's probably something going on with Poppy, it still seems rational that her change in tone post rescue could be entirely because she had just been captured and webbed up. That crap would probably make me less willing to engage in a more bubbly and friendly tone. I'd most likely just want to get on the dang train too after going through that.
This wasn’t something that was brought up in the video but I had an idea about who we play as in the game. In chapter 2, after jumping down through the giant hole in the floor and coming out of the slide, there are several other slides that each have a name above it. The name above the slide furthest to the left of the player after entering the room, has fallen off, but there is a collection of letters on the ground. I’m guessing that this might be the name of the character we play as who was once an employee at Playtime Co. That’s just a random little theory I had.
That's a good theory and it might be possible. After watching Chapter 2 there are some other possibilities of who we are. So Imma just write them down on who we might be: 1. Just another employee 2. Marcas Brickley 3. One of the scientist 4. Another experiment 5. The slide with the broken letters
One thing I’d like to note very quickly, the blood at the end of the chapter didn’t come from us. It came from the train. You can see it coming out of the train for a little bit(the animation is a little weird but the trajectory is clear) That train is alive, poppy intended to lead us somewhere else but something derailed us to keep us stranded. Another thing is that it’s posible the consciousness of the toys is left even when they are dead, why else would mommy fear becoming part of 1006 otherwise when she’d already be dead? Now if we remember the trailer it appeared that mommy was dragging huggy wuggy somewhere, but considering the size of the hand I think there’s only two options 1. That really is mommy and she was simply putting that one in the wack a huggy 2. It’s actually 1006 in disguise(possible pulling a fnaf 1 bonny run trailer) about to make huggy wuggy part of him. Seeing as how we see mommy revert to a smile after she dies I think both options are equally as likely But amazing video as always have a good rest of you day/night if you read all the way through
cool theory. the moment with mommy's hand taking the huggie is something like a spoiler. 1006 took mommy's head with a hand, most likely he needed it to reach the dead huggy
Ok quick side note: she says "He'll make me part him!". *He'll,him*. She uses male pronouns for this creature, so that opens the door to a few things. The toy 1006 is based off of is a male toy, or the person used to make 1006 was male, perhaps even both. Either way however, it does help give a small yet vital piece to 1006's true identity beyound just a smart claw
I mean I’m pretty sure there isn’t even a need to point that out, Mommy already said him and both tapes that were about Experiment 1006 also both used the word him, so it’s pretty obvious that it’s a male toy, although my money is that the prototype is Elliot Ludwig after Laithe Pierre and the other employees went against him and took the research to make living toys to make a large profit
as already said, it was a pretty obvious fact but a good one to point out when thinking about who the prototype may be made from/based off of :D also it might imply that /if/ 1006 wasn't made from a human, it was created to be a toy since all (?) the marketable toys have genders, while biological experiments wouldn't have had them
For some reason, I want to mention my 2 cents that it may also be some wild, deconstructed or “revised” version of Daddy Long Legs that we saw in one of the posters. Being taken apart after some “accidents” happen to be revised and remodeled. Idk
A little theory on Ludwig’s motivation: the tape claims he was divorced but a family man and later faced a family tragedy. What if he had a child and after he was divorced, got not a lot of custody of said child. Eventually this child passed tragically and this is where the story (if this is the case) could draw some inspiration from spookys jump scare mansion. He would’ve started this toy factory to create new toys to become vessels for the soul of his dead child and created the game station as a first resort to experimenting on souls of children and eventually even adult workers (possibly experimenting using the children as vessels as well). Eventually poppy was created as a perfect model for a vessel, so Ludwig could have a conversation with his daughter. I believe they succeeded which is why poppy appears to know more than the rest of the other toys in the factory. Also the letter at the beginning of the game has multiple grammar mistakes which could be written by an employee already experimented on or written by a child that was also experimented on. If it was a child this would explain the grammatical mistakes and if it was an adult worker then it would seem as though their minds are so altered that their minds are regressing. Just a theory.
Did anyone else notice the change in Poppy's eyes? When we first meet her, they seemed vibrant, but after we rescue her they appear to be dead. This is similar to mommy long legs, while she was alive her eyes were green but when she died they turned to grey.
The impression I got from the experiment notes for Makayla was that Mommy Long Legs was super protective of the children and was the one primarily killing the proctors when she felt they were being mean. I also tend to agree with Manlybadasshero's theory that the main character is a toy, the ultimate final result of the experiments and the only one that could pass as human. Especially since Poppy has that, "I've never seen anything like you before" line on the train.
An interesting theory I have. From the log about "The Prototype" we know it was extremely intelligent and could be violent, and that Mommy was afraid when she died because "He'll make me part of him." We also see that The Prototype has what appear to be human bones along the forearm, so my thought is, are those bones the same ones from that Surveillance Researcher who met that unfortunate demise, and it brings curiousity to what "He" will do with Mommy's remnants.
when watching playthroughs, Kissy MIssy always looked more like panicked to me than warm. I think her smile is just the one expression she can make, but the way she was looking at the lever and the player looked like she was unsure is she'd be supposed to do the thing or not.
So if the Prototype takes parts from the other toys then the more you defeat the stronger he'll be in the end, which is a brilliantly horrifying concept
There is part during the recovery of Bonzo toy where you can see blue fur drenched in blood and more bloodstains close to several pipes and against one wall, implying that either Huggy's corpse was taken by The Claw, or Huggy is yet alive and crawled back up the chute where most of the bloodstains leads to.
With the new info we got I wouldn't be shocked if the other reason why Mommy was going after workers was that she found out about what happened to the orphan children at the end who she sees as like being her own children and didn't like how they're being used as test subjects as opposed to actually giving them loving homes and families thus making her motives to kill everyone responsible for the experiments all the more understandable.
I find it odd how the hand of 1006 reaches in to grab the body MOMENTS after she does... I stated in another video how it was like he was waiting for her to die... Meaning it's possible he already knows your here. And is waiting for you to kill things for him.
That makes sense with the elevated knowledge as such! I wonder why he’s collecting this though? Revenge? Because he’s crazy? Simply wants a body, since he’s an unfinished toy experiment? (at least I think). Idk, just some ideas
Something i noticed about poppy is that when she was nice and helpful/friendly her eyes were a bright green, but when “the darkness” took over, her eyes turned to a dark black surrounding dark blue Just a nice detail i found cool :)
I don’t think Poppy is a villain here, more of a anti hero or maybe even a hero. I do believe she’s the CEOs daughter, but I also think the CEO is prototype, or at least a part of him. He got carried away bringing all of the toys to life, using the children to do so. Maybe his daughter wanted to be at peace but he wanted her back anyway he could, all Poppy wants to do is release all the tormented souls and destroy the factory. If I know my indie horror games, I’m sure there’s going to be a fire and an escape run.
What if mommy long legs is the CEO's wife and the prototype (the CEO) wanted to be together with his family forever so he revived his wife and daughter and made mommy long legs apart of him so they can be together forever
@@user-mm3ts1pv3v he was divorced during the experiments but maybe the death of their daughter could’ve brought them closer, I could see that as a possibility
Now why would poppy want us back into a factory if we had the means to escape. I me a, she did say "Too perfect to lose". Doesn't that mean she wants to be with the player forever? Just like Monika for ddlc
I think that when Poppy ended the message on the train it was because the Prototype got her. You could hear the beeping of a digital alarm clock in the background, and if you take a look at one of the audio logs it states that it took apart an alarm clock and made a lazer pointer. So when her sentence ended,a beep was playing and she just went 'What?' like she was confused,it makes sense for her to be confused if it was the prototype,as we can assume she has never seen it in her case. It doesnt make much sense but eh.
I just realised that when Mommy Long-Legs was stuck in the grinder, she could of just pull the lever to turn it off with the long hands of hers, yank her hand out and kill the protagonist. Sure, one of her hands will probably be destroyed, but Im pretty sure there's spare parts somewhere
She is also shown to have good reflexes too. In the beginning she stops the red hand from getting to the scanner pretty quick. She could've even just stopped the player from pulling the lever in the same way. Oh well, every story has inconsistencies
@@missy2375 well it could be the instant panic and fear that clouded her reflexes because her first thought was about the prototype making her part of him, because we see that she actually managed to pull her arm free but didn't remove her leg before it got stuck in the grinder either
Why is this like Five Nights at Freddys. It gave me the same type of chills. As is the theory of the souls living the toys. Maybe it’s some form of reference? Poppy give me and my friend a Circus Baby feel, including taking control helping the player to try to escape, and then betraying them. And then there’s the player themselves just suddenly going to that place and getting lost. The player is like Micheal or the security guard. (If you actually read this I’ll be surprised)
I think that poppy is either: in cahoots with the Prototype, using us to destroy the other toys to help build the Prototype a new body. Or: the Prototype is manipulating Poppy into killing the other toys and using us to help. The fact that she called us too perfect to lose, in my opinion anyway, proves that poppy isn't totally nice like she first appeared to be. I think she will let us go, maybe, but only after we complete the tasks she sets out for us. I am still debating whether she wants to rectify past wrongs, or maybe she has another agenda... Guess we are going to wait!
I reckon mommy was an older child, maybe one who had siblings in the program as well. She was protective of the kids, seeing it as her duty to comfort them and protect them. When turned into mommy long legs, she didn't change, except now she really knew what they were doing, so would attack any proctor to protect the kids, taking her duty even more seriously now.
I like how always in the intro he says "sit back relax" even though bwe r gonna play a horror game with jump scares and monsters and probably unsettling sites and stories hehe 😅 still though I love it 😘

I love how this game looks 100% less scary...cutesy even, then most popular indie horror games, but in reality, maybe one of the goriest and cruel of them all
Personally, I don’t think the very very big spider mentioned in the announcement was Mommy. I think it was the prototype. I guess the staff already knew mommy long legs as they were recommended to keep a length of 20 feet away from her, so why were the staff told that the spider does not exist? Plus, mommy long legs is long, but not really “big”.
True but im pretty sure the higher ups and the scientists who knew about mommy, not the basic workers whom adopted the kids and sent them to the area mommy was at.
Theory that has no backing: what if Mommy is an older sister? Maybe older than the other kids (11/12) and was responsible for her younger sibling? That's why she is standoffish to the adults, but loves the children.
@@JetstreamTheSexSam I kinda feel like it is Stella mostly because her dialogue of wanting to stay a child and playing with toys. Because mommy dialogue about kids coming and going, leaving her to die along sounds like if Stella saw the result of her becoming that
@@JetstreamTheSexSam it was just supposed to be a thought experiment of a what if. Chill. You don't have to call me dumb to have a conversation about why you think my theory is incorrect. I do see your point, and that's most likely the case. However, with the idea of orphans being turned into these creatures being so prevalent it could be possible. Mommy also doesn't talk about caring for the childrens needs i.e food, clothing, shelter. She was primarily focused on the games, . I know it's a toy company and that is the whole point. But if she was an orphan child taking care of her siblings games is a great distraction. If it was a distraction from abuse, war, etc. isn't known, or at least I haven't picked up on any of that. Plus, she cares about others following HER rules but then she gets her own set. That to be is rather immature. If it was a grown woman she would want to lead by example.
My theory: is that kissy is free to think unlike the others so she know what she needs to kill and what she doesn't. Other theory on her: she was actually an employee that you used to work with.
What I like about this chapter the most was that mommy long legs, her expressions actually gave me scare and when her fingers grew and eyes turned I actually had shivers down my spine
I like how when the darkness takes over the living toys their pupils get extremely large it's a very good signal that they have gone insane and is very scary
To be honest, I never really trusted Poppy. Especially when in the trailer and in the game, she kept saying that we're "perfect" and "too perfect to lose". Maybe the sudden change of character in the escape ending was probably because she was secretly watching us without mommy not knowing? She climbed through the vents after the protagonist was freeing her from her case. Plus, she could have wanted us to kill mommy long legs in the first place. She was about to say what her plan was before she was taken away by mommy. While in the clutches of mommy's hand, Poppy stays silent like she was scared of her or to tell us what to do. But these are my theories so yeah. 🤷
Yes i agree! I wonder why we are perfect in her eyes? I think it’s because poppy needs to do something but can’t in her doll form. What that is? I don’t know, maybe she wants to uncover and expose the secrets of the factory? Or kill all the “toys” that wronged her? Or simply needs help getting rid of the prototype. Either way I think poppy is having an “ends justify the means” philosophy where normally she doesn’t want to hurt us, but in this situation poppy feels like betraying us is going to help more people then it hurts. However, I’m pretty sure poppy had a pacifier in her mouth, ngl. She still could’ve wanted us to kill mommy long legs front the start, for example making us kill mommy long legs as she has the train key or something. (Of course if this was poppy’s way of thought we would never know as in the plot long legs kidnaps poppy. Either way I think this “what if poppy wasn’t kidnapped” fits because poppy is manipulative and a liar, at least as far as I’m aware. Of course, this is all theory idk what I’m saying. Sorry if this makes no since, I’m bad with words
@@ariwatts135 I was thinking the same thing too! Plus I think her eyes change after freeing her. If you go up close to her when we first meet her, there isn't any black stuff around her iris, but once we free her from her web trap, and if you get a closer look at her eyes, it looks like there's some black stuff forming around the iris. It could be that after being out of her case and having the side affects of the chip or whatever programs them to be active is slowly but surely getting a hold of her mindset. I find it kinda wierd that she can somehow push a big box with stuff in it with ease but somehow can't get herself free from her web trap? I'm not sure what's in the box that she was pushing, but the sound of it when it hits to the ground sounds like some heavy object. But the only issue is how she could put the web back on her without breaking it. No need to apologize, I understand where you're coming from and you bring up some good points!
The sudden change of persona feels very off to me. I mean, the protagonist saved her from her prison, she's all grateful and awkward... and then after, she seems cold, almost condescending? And in the train she has a creepy behaviour, but still praising the protagonist... I don't see what could be the reason. Unless something happened to her in between being kidnapped by Mommy Long Legs and finding her whereabouts. I agree with what you say about "the eyes color" stuff... They seem a little changed. Or did Poppy find out a serious secret about the factory which made her change her attitude toward the protag?
@@assiaelmabrouki5552 it could be related to The Prototype, I agree with the "Him" Mommy referred to being The Prototype, working to complete itself with the fallen parts of the Toys. As for the creep-factor... Ehhh... Idk, we'll see later.
Mike, I found something interesting with Poppy's eyes. It appears that her eye whites are darker when we free her, when they were slightly bloodshot at the beginning. Perhaps Mommy did something to alter her behavior.
I also found something interesting, it appears that the prototype doesn’t attack the toys while they’re alive because maybe he couldn’t take them in a fight? He only scoops mommy’s body away after she’s dead and presumably huggys too
@@nezukochaaan7320 Prototype appears to be made only of frail wires and thin rods of metal so it would probably be pretty easy to do heavy damage towards him. That’s probably why he only scoops up toys for parts once they have died. He probably also uses them to make himself stronger considering Mommy Long Legs yells “He’ll make me part of him!” as she dies
The prototype himself is also very patient and stealthy. Meaning, he doesn’t just kill whoever is in front of him and he has more personal or more significant targets in mind.
I think Poppy is 100% the daughter/family member Ludwig lost. Because of the fact she was in this weirdly out of place home in the factory. And how she was kept ‘for so long’ in that case. As in to ensure nothing bad could happen to her again.
I have a theory: Elliot Ludwig started the company, and spearheaded their experiments into resurrecting souls into toys. Specifically to bring his daughter back to life. But, Elliot died himself, and his colleagues and the scientists he hired continued to conduct their experiments, but this time for profit.
I had to come check the comments, is anyone else concerned about that fact that Mommy said the children never came back? Thanks for all your hard work Mike! I love the videos!
Yeah! I think it stems from the fact that the children were more test subjects then children, so the tests were used to determine what should be done with the children-are they adopted, sent off to become toys, etc? Or they could just not return due to the “incident” that happened. with the factory (I think mentioned in the 1st ch 2 tape) Then again, idk, just thoughts
If the orphans were used for experiments, we can assume some disappeared frequently. Wouldn't the employees who adopted them realise their kids were missing after leaving them on the playground?
I'm guessing that Elliot is the prototype. He never leaves projects *unfinished* +! Huggy wuggy is obedient! Wich means that someone must have told Huggy to kill us
I didn't realize poppy had full animations of the body and face even though the likelihood of seeing them close is no. Attention to the detail in creation of the game is great
Looking at when mike talks about mommy being someone names Marie, I wonder if the subject was actually a child. When she says “A new playmate!”, she seems so excited almost like a young child. That makes me wonder if mommy was an orphan child and is vengeful towards adults like Cassidy the spirit from FNAF.
I feel like an older child would work better, an older sibling to all the children. So much so that she ended up being like the “mom”, and that’s why she’s always trying to protect the living toys and the kids. And she’s vengeful to the adults because they aren’t doing their job as parents or caretakers, she is.
Ok hear me out, what if poppy isn’t actually bad? Just because she’s colder doesn’t necessarily mean she’s bad. Think of it this way: someone who has a similar character to Poppy decides to join the US Marine Corps. They get deployed to a war zone, and upon return, they just aren’t the same. They’re a lot colder, and they aren’t the person you knew before they left. This is a common result of trauma. Poppy was stuck away for a while, apparently asleep, therefore she was better when first waking up, but later remembers all the people lost in the factory and decides they need to stay and get them out.
That's so sad
Damn... Now I feel bad again looking at her lore
😭

Yeah I really liked that small detail.
AT&T
poppy's looked a bit bigger from the start of the game
I think it’s connection to when the toys go “feral” in a way, like how Huggy Wuggy did to
My believe is that it was revealing "the darkness".
She might've recognized us as a staff when she saw our grabpack, or we could've been wearing something that all employees were supposed to have on at work
@@egg7540 maybe, but why would we keep stuff that employees wear on us if it’s been over 10 years since we quit/got fired? So probably not
@@nezukochaaan7320 We don't know whether or not the protagonist would keep a staff outfit as a memory or just forget to get rid of it, but fair. It's probably then the first option, since grabpacks seem to be common equipment employees use.
How do you guys just simply say "Mommy Long Legs"?
nobody is talking about the think that grabbed mommy long legs is a cellar spider that grabbed her which her inspiration was from the cellar spider/daddy long legs and betty spaghetty
She didn't deserve to die.
I think she protected the kids because of what she went through with the staff, thinking they would do some harm to the children
but she probably don't know exactly what happened to them because of the voiceline "they played and they never came back, they left mommy to die alone"
I mean, she did get pissed off when they left because the games were over and the kids had no interest in her. That or I’m getting something wrong again.
Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy.
Took the words out of my throat
"Every child deserves a chance at a new life."
that's such a nefarious line considering what may happen to the kids
Wow I never actually realised just how dark and twisted that line is.
This "new life" may be their actual new life as toys.
now that chapter 3 is out I'm crying for Mommy/Marie
She suffered a fate worse than death.
it’s really sad for me, too :(

Quick theory: The living toy experiments and the child experiments were independent of each other. Living toys were heavily used in the testing at the game station(the Wuggys, Mommy Longlegs, PJ) so they already knew how to make living toys by this point. It’s more likely that the children were involved in the experiments to reverse death.

Prototype might be grabbing different pieces of chapter antagonist’s to become the new Afton amalgamation
I think the prototype got poppy at the end The chapter
@@Fible. well that's right..
Also didn't her eyes change color?
I'd like to see a drunk kissy missy
Good theory, Hopefully this is what is gonna happen
Damn it be like that. They say it don’t but it do…it do be like that. *sips 🍷*
amazing😂
That theory is fucked up but could make sense.
Daddy Long-Hands

Well maybe before Mommy Long Legs locked her up Poppy may have been hiding in the vents to get around the factory

I love you
SO DID I!
That’s not blood
And they left without, i can't imagine going through something like that. Also, mommy was so scared i could tell by her screams and cries, before she died she also cried out "YOU'LL MAKE ME APART OF HIM!" And by him she meant 1006.
Also, heres a theory,
Why did 1006 collect mommy right after she died? So basically what im trying to say here is was 1006 following you the whole time?
In the huggy fight, 1006 didn’t collect huggy (maybe he did and i didn’t see )
Prototype 1006 is probably down there (Where huggy fell).

Theories about the protagonist
1. We the player are Elliott Ludwig himself returning to our factory to tie up loose ends
2. We are Rich (the disgruntled employee) who quit in the first place, but returned after being worried on what happened
3. We are a test dummy
4. We are Elliot Ludwig’s theorized dead child that was successful brought back to life and returned to the factory by a key phrase. Similar to Bioshock’s “would you kindly”

Not just toys the arm has human bones grafted to it so it will likely be a mountain of toys metal and organs
That would actually be a awesome final boss!
I belive it would look like that amalgam at one of the endings of security breach lmfao
That would make sense for it to be an amalgamation, as "Mommy Long Legs" did say: "No! You'll make me apart of him!"
I wonder how it will be killed if its the final boss.
The prototype is probably using the player to get stronger.
I think the prototype likes our protagonist cause it's safer to let them take out the other toys
That’s what I thought too, like it’s huggy’s female variant so ofc it’s gonna be like that
To be fair I think huggy genuinely wanted to help.
Idk about that, I feel like that right there would have been the perfect opportunity to kill the protagonist right there, no need to wait, no?
That would mean 2 things 1: daddy long legs must be Elliot Ludwig 2: the ludwigs used to have a baby son who died very early in his life.
@@mondaynightreruns Or. And this is a bit dark. But DLL could’ve been Marie’s new husband? If she remarried?

A theory of mine is that all of the toys were scared of Mommy. She seems to have the most authority over all of the toys(the ones in the Game Station at least), and she was the one that was personally dragged away by The Prototype. Personally I think The Prototype finds the stronger toys to mold into its body(including some of the other toys as extra parts)
As we see when we first meet Mommy she was holding Poppy, and near the end of the dialog when she stuck Poppy's face close to hers, Poppy looks away looking uncomfortable(?) and after we killed Mommy she asks us if we killed her(Mommy) and after we answered? i guess, she said good. I kinda think poppy was salty about Mommy mocking her(?) but maybe another reason for it was Mommy was a stronger toy than Poppy. And Poppy didnt like that.

I think that the scariest part of "The Prototype" is presumed human-like appearance. If you take a look at the 1st part of it's arm, you'll notice 2 bones twisted, crossing over each other. The very same way a human skeleton arm works. So perhaps The Prototype is trying to look more human.

it’s hard to tell whether mommy really knew what happened to the children - but it’s clear she’s angry. after playing her part of the story, i can’t help but feel like she wanted us to go through what the kids went through, since the game center seemed to be a testing area to filter out the smartest kids to use as subjects, and that it’ll be a reoccurring theme in the game. imagine what the kids went through during these tests, how they must’ve felt, and mommy wanted to create that same horror and anxiety for our “protagonist” - he used to work at the factory, so it’s clear he was involved in the testing on some level, not knowing the true horrors of it.

Yeah I was thinking that too. That description just doesn't quite fit Mommy Longlegs, but suits PJ instead.
I actually think the giant spider was the prototype, because the fingers kinda looked like spider limbs.
I think the father is the real spider
And pj pug a pillar says he walk in all 400 that means he has 400 legs
Theory a gives me old batim theory vibes
B. Is most likely not true because there were others before it

There’s a theory she volunteered to be a toy for toy, which is why the toy is friendly
But the others weren’t willing so they were vengeful
*She's probably Kissy Missy.*
They didn’t want to be turned into this.
i've heard several theories stating that Stella may be Poppy.
props to the sound design of her shoe slamming against the grinder when she's trying to reposition her leg and the rubbing of her shoe against the ground when trying to escape it later, didn't notice that detail earlier lol
Maybe Ludwig's daughter was a toddler went she died so she doesn't really understand what it means to be violent and that's why she's so "simple"?
that makes sense
but since Kissy Missy is a soft(plush) toy she might have trouble movie her limbs
since there is no plastic support

It’s kind of terrifying to think that between The Prototype and Huggy Wuggy there were 164 other experiments going on on other people. And that those people were most likely children. Now that that thing has both Mommy’s and Huggy’s parts, who knows what it could do, especially considering how smart it seems to be and how vicious it must have been before the isolation in the factory let alone after.
Experiments fail so i don't think we will see over 100 more toys.
@@terrelldurocher3330 plus some of those toys were probably those smaller ones that were scattered along the factory covered in blood
Mommy long legs is experiment 1222, So even more exist.
This... this is just perfection the best theory ever
And keep in mind Ludwig could be the scientist in the last tape in chapter 1, who claimed that "one breakthrough and I'll be back", so its possible he is indeed one of the future antagonsits we'll face if not the prototype itself
I like this sec to the daughter theory
This could also be why Poppy changed personalities!! After seeing Mommy along Legs and her kidnapping her (Poppy) :0
I agree but it does say the subject is Marie Payne
tbh I think poppy is very valid in her change of reactions, she probably realized that every other experiment is out for blood and that everything will be much harder from here out. Would you be cheery if you just got tossed around like poppy did by mommy?
Yeah I probably wouldn’t be so cheery if I suddenly got trapped again after being free for less than two minutes.

I like to imagine the prototype goes inside huggy’s head and says “Hey that dude murdered the child you cared for. Kill him, avenge Apollo

You've got it almost entirely right
I wanna point out that Stella's voice change.

Yeah it felt like a realistic reaction to all the horror she just suddenly went through
This wasn’t something that was brought up in the video but I had an idea about who we play as in the game.
So Imma just write them down on who we might be:
1. Just another employee
2. Marcas Brickley
3. One of the scientist
4. Another experiment
5. The slide with the broken letters
One thing I’d like to note very quickly, the blood at the end of the chapter didn’t come from us. It came from the train. You can see it coming out of the train for a little bit(the animation is a little weird but the trajectory is clear)
That train is alive, poppy intended to lead us somewhere else but something derailed us to keep us stranded.
Another thing is that it’s posible the consciousness of the toys is left even when they are dead, why else would mommy fear becoming part of 1006 otherwise when she’d already be dead?
Now if we remember the trailer it appeared that mommy was dragging huggy wuggy somewhere, but considering the size of the hand I think there’s only two options
1. That really is mommy and she was simply putting that one in the wack a huggy
2. It’s actually 1006 in disguise(possible pulling a fnaf 1 bonny run trailer) about to make huggy wuggy part of him.
Seeing as how we see mommy revert to a smile after she dies I think both options are equally as likely
But amazing video as always have a good rest of you day/night if you read all the way through
cool theory. the moment with mommy's hand taking the huggie is something like a spoiler. 1006 took mommy's head with a hand, most likely he needed it to reach the dead huggy
Its not even blood... its the textured dots on the floor of the cabin being red because of the light and glitching out
why would they give life to the train lmao

*The same twisted reasons as to how they would give life to literal toys like they're trying to remake Toy Story.*
I wonder how they can die when it clear they can be brought back to life though the poppy flower and gel if one like.
My bad but I thought that that was obvious.
@@Highdisordermortal he didn't mention it so just decided why not
I mean I’m pretty sure there isn’t even a need to point that out, Mommy already said him and both tapes that were about Experiment 1006 also both used the word him, so it’s pretty obvious that it’s a male toy, although my money is that the prototype is Elliot Ludwig after Laithe Pierre and the other employees went against him and took the research to make living toys to make a large profit
as already said, it was a pretty obvious fact but a good one to point out when thinking about who the prototype may be made from/based off of :D
also it might imply that /if/ 1006 wasn't made from a human, it was created to be a toy since all (?) the marketable toys have genders, while biological experiments wouldn't have had them
For some reason, I want to mention my 2 cents that it may also be some wild, deconstructed or “revised” version of Daddy Long Legs that we saw in one of the posters.
I think we didn’t meet the person who sent the note yet and also, who do you think Stella’s soul went to if not poppy’s?
@@deniz9779 it could’ve gone into another living toy experiment such as cat-bee or candy cat
And is waiting for you to kill things for him.
yes, i thought so too. great theory :-)
That makes sense with the elevated knowledge as such! I wonder why he’s collecting this though? Revenge? Because he’s crazy? Simply wants a body, since he’s an unfinished toy experiment? (at least I think). Idk, just some ideas
Something i noticed about poppy is that when she was nice and helpful/friendly her eyes were a bright green, but when “the darkness” took over, her eyes turned to a dark black surrounding dark blue
Just a nice detail i found cool :)

If Elliot is the prototype I believe he just nabbed poppy and broke down in tears with being reunited with his kid.

True but im pretty sure the higher ups and the scientists who knew about mommy, not the basic workers whom adopted the kids and sent them to the area mommy was at.
Also, the staff said 50 foot tall with so many legs. Maybe it's PJ? Because PJ has more legs than Mommy and looks way longer.
Maybe huggy wuggy just attacked us because he’s a security measure, and he’s extremely obedient to the staff, this would make sense too

Poppy didn't speak because mommy long legs put some web in poppy mouth
She also sounds strangely dead inside after we save her from Mommy.
i think the webbing is must've messed with her.
@@nezukochaaan7320 he did kind of kill the employee trapped with him, but I agree with you cuz the big toys are much stronger than a human
I think Poppy is 100% the daughter/family member Ludwig lost. Because of the fact she was in this weirdly out of place home in the factory. And how she was kept ‘for so long’ in that case. As in to ensure nothing bad could happen to her again.
I have a theory:
Elliot Ludwig started the company, and spearheaded their experiments into resurrecting souls into toys. Specifically to bring his daughter back to life. But, Elliot died himself, and his colleagues and the scientists he hired continued to conduct their experiments, but this time for profit.
I got into poppy playtime cuz of this dudes content, keep up the good work!
Same I used to hate horror untill I started watching videos like this
@@slmjim8503 sameee
SAME!its so good
Well sadly the company isn't good. Mob games is just scum and trash
@@nintendoman8915 i think like 2-3 developers did the bad stuff, others didn't, so don't go on them
i just hope they can end this soon
I had to come check the comments, is anyone else concerned about that fact that Mommy said the children never came back?
Thanks for all your hard work Mike! I love the videos!
Yeah! I think it stems from the fact that the children were more test subjects then children, so the tests were used to determine what should be done with the children-are they adopted, sent off to become toys, etc? Or they could just not return due to the “incident” that happened. with the factory (I think mentioned in the 1st ch 2 tape)
Then again, idk, just thoughts
@@ariwatts135 I have a question, did the the company experiment on orphans, or employees? Or both do you think ?
@@izzythellama7365 I think it should be both
If the orphans were used for experiments, we can assume some disappeared frequently. Wouldn't the employees who adopted them realise their kids were missing after leaving them on the playground?
@@nevaskomaeda3051 That's a great point, but what if their adopted parents were silenced whether by bribery or used for experiments as well.
I'm guessing that Elliot is the prototype. He never leaves projects *unfinished*
+!
Huggy wuggy is obedient! Wich means that someone must have told Huggy to kill us
What if Poppy was the one that told them to to kill the protagonist because it might be a test.
Theory! When Poppy says WHAT?! I think prototype found her and rather took her and in chapter 3 we need to deal with him next
I didn't realize poppy had full animations of the body and face even though the likelihood of seeing them close is no. Attention to the detail in creation of the game is great
Played this game on my channel ill appreciate it if you could stop by and watch!
I love jacks acting during the blue tape! He sounded so genuine!
@@error_phobianotfound yeah if she was a child it is probably an older one
Ok hear me out, what if poppy isn’t actually bad? Just because she’s colder doesn’t necessarily mean she’s bad. Think of it this way: someone who has a similar character to Poppy decides to join the US Marine Corps. They get deployed to a war zone, and upon return, they just aren’t the same. They’re a lot colder, and they aren’t the person you knew before they left. This is a common result of trauma. Poppy was stuck away for a while, apparently asleep, therefore she was better when first waking up, but later remembers all the people lost in the factory and decides they need to stay and get them out.
