So essentially the entire plot line of these two games could've been avoided if this guy had just called some sort of police or FBI when he heard back from his missing wife, instead of traveling solo to the middle of nowhere Louisiana without giving his friend the exact location of where he was.

I love how at 40:10 when he escapes and sees an interactive object with the corner of his eye, he just goes for it and turns out it's just some photograph in a frame, lol. Imagine in real life running from a murderous superhuman and you just stop by to look at the picture in the house, rotating it like a madman.

The difficulty arc in the progression of this game is nearly perfect. You go from prey to peer to predator in such a natural, organic manner that it's barely perceptible. That it does this while still giving you the impression of being in serious peril throughout is really amazing.
You put this so clearly. The progression was one of my favorite aspects of the game, and the feeling of picking up new ammo and cocking that shot gun is the best feeling in the world.

now try to play it on the madhouse difficulty, look me in the eye and say the same lol. Dying 8 times in the every battle in the first hour of gameplay is too much, I believe. (the spider mold kills you in 2 hits, and you barely can take it out if you spam block all the time). Well, alright I died in the first basement fight with 2 molds only twice or thrice playing the flat version, but died actually about 8 times playing the praydog's vr mod

@@groovesan I typically play games on medium difficulty. Carcinogen has a madhouse no damage run that's quite entertaining. It's long but worth a look.

Village is more like aesthetics (except Heisenberg factory) while in 7 all of the places are reflecting like HORROR movies.

It's weird how the game makes you choose between Mia and Zoey as if we didn't know why Ethan was there in the first place. There's literally no incentive to choose Zoey.

As someone who dislikes this game while I picked Mia I actually understand why Zoe is an option. I feel like while Mia is why you came she literally tried to kill Ethan while you she didn’t have the vaccine. Zoe while she needed the vaccine always showed Ethan respect and kindness I guess.

Ethan went through so much trauma between this and Village. I literally felt bad for his character 😂
It's really weird to know that Ethan dies in first 10-20 minutes and a zombie was saving his wife and daughter from bio weapons.

And yeah remember the Duke? Teleportation? And he helping Ethan to go save his daughter, makes me think that he also saved Ethan the moment the bomb exploded. And there is also no confirmation of his death, only a funeral.

Now it makes sense how Ethan was able to survive having his leg Chopped off. He was a mutate because of the mega mycete. Also first his left hand, then his right leg, then his right hand seriously why does this guy keep losing limbs?
If he had QTE ability like Leon and Chris, he probably would avoid losing a limb.

I think Ethan is alive because of the duke. The Duke did not even introduce his identity, also he got an unusual ability to teleport to places. Maybe he saved Ethan the moment the bomb exploded. I know he is a mold, but I'm trusting the possibility.

I just got to the Chainsaw part with Jack and I got to say for that early in the game man shit gets my heart racing. As a long time RE fan it makes me feel the same exact as the others did. I understand peoples issues with it not being in 3rd person however it still scares the shit out of you and you have to play sparingly just like the originals. Jack feels like Mr.X just haunting you through the halls, the horror inducing panic, I think it’s pretty well put together.

You couldnt play the game otherwise, its a necessessary game logic error
In my opinion RE8 needed a little of the gore that RE7 had.
And the terrifying suspense
Yesss the village got a lil bit stale after you leave the castle and even the castle wasn’t the scariest, the house with the baby doll was the most uneasy feeling I had of the whole game and even that part could’ve lasted longer.

After finishing RE8 (my first entry into the franchise) I bought RE7. While I love the atmosphere and setting, I just couldn't get pass the boss at 1:30:00 and got tired of trying :(
If you still haven’t been able to get pass the crazy old man lol try jabbing him with the chainsaw whenever you can get behind him & try aiming at his face as well continue that cycle and whenever he starts turning chainsaw at his head & it’ll take off from there!

Love this game. I'm going through it again for my 4th or 5th time i think this game is so creepy and i can't get enough of it. I love all the resident evil games this one is one of my favorites.
