The game lends itself to either playthrough. Like, if you think about it, if you were in that situation, you would either run to safety or crawl yourself there. So, two different experiences of the same story.

@Scarf215I’d assume the original monster, whatever it was, snuck onto it somehow before it took off. Seems like it can understand human speech somewhat, given the hallucinated voices, and the fact they were all heading to the helicopter was being very loudly announced across the entire rig before it happened means it probably heard that too. One would’ve just had to hide in there and wait. Once it took off, everyone in the helicopter was a dead man.

Why didn't Caz at least give the insulin injection and then try CPR? What could it hurt? He has no idea how long ago Roy's heart stopped. Maybe it doesn't work the same when you go in to "diabetic shock" or whatever. But I would have tried CPR for at least a few minutes.
Speaking as both a type-1 diabetic and an endocrinology nurse educator Roy was likely not taking his insulin for a very long time if he was lapsing into diabetic ketoacidosis that quickly. Caz did say that Trots had finally gotten Roy's insulin shipment in. Since he was in DKA, he was long past the point where a single dose of insulin would have done a damned thing. Once you're in DKA, you're looking at several days in the intensive care unit on an IV insulin drip. If you're in late stage DKA, you're likely already in a coma and/or dying. I've been there, it's agony and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemies.
Not everyone's trained in CPR, and as we can see from the frankly embarrassing state of the *emergency escape lifeboats*, the rig was rundown and probably fudged a few inspections by way of pounds under the table. It's probably mentioned in some corporate rule log here or there that employees are required to know it, but -- Hell, you'd be shocked -- or maybe not -- by how many that flaunt their own requirements and just keep them to look good for the feds. Not to mention, uh... Can you really say McCleary was in a rational state, clearly thinking? I wouldn't have made it half as far as he did.
Recently I have found myself watching loads of play throughs and every game I think of, nostalgic or just my type of game you always come up,, big love for that

Well of course, when you're just watching it and not playing it. You've got to be in it to experience it, and this definitely is a game that is miles better when playing than watching a passive video.
I'm flabbergasted that IGN gave this game a 6? It is an absolute treat to horror and RE fans like me. MKiceandfire made the whole gameplay like watching a horror movie and I love it. That scene with Roy broke me, I was absolutely hoping that he survived😢
The "game journalists" are too scared to play it
@@loboneiner1034 you mean game misinformants?
I mean I kinda get it. As a cinematic experience the graphics and acting is amazing. but gameplaywise you're just doing the same generic stealth stuff over and over and over and over again with no real puzzles or challenge.
@@gummyboots I guess, but I feel like the story and the characters are what make the game really shine
@@Baller-e2k They do, but unlike resident evil 7. There's not much of change, or gameplay. Run: Destroy vent. Run again: away from a monster. Run some more: new area. Repeat: Run.
🏴 SCOTLAND FOREVER 🏴

SCOTLAND FOREVER
Just the thought of being in the middle of the ocean while dealing with a collapsing rig and a parasitic bio-organism is absolutely terrifying.
Mkiceandfire is from the future mate. He posted the entire gameplay 3 minutes before Playstation even released the trailer 😂😂😂😂😂
They probably got early access! 😂
Came here for this comment 👌👌
MK always mentions in the beginning of the videos thx to the providers about early copies.
I watched it on another channel yesterday...
Damn bro you’re right
10:53 He doesn't know that one Screwdriver kept him alive the whole game.
The voice acting, music and sound design of the creatures is amazing.
thanks for all of the game play, this one entertains me to no end with just the dialog being different from the translated sub-text.
Crazy when the Addair dude seemingly got stuck and you just waddle right past/through him lmao 😂
2:28:58 "Aye...I want off this fucking rig"
Oh man that line was so FIRE its like Caz just awakened his beast mode after Roy's death
I freaking live for cosmic horror. I will die in a cosmic horror event leaving a diary of the events that occur. It has been a while since we get this good of a game. The voice acting, the visuals, the concept and athmosphere, also the story telling. Everything is just perfect.
Roy’s death hit really hard. It was sad how cat got the Insulin for Roy and Roy still dies.
29:05 - A ladder drops down right as you pass this area. I skipped it as well and went straight for turning off the steam pipes.
So FYI to those going to play it.. a ladder drops down RIGHT here and no one has a clue what's up there lol
God the way Caz talks so sweetly about and to his wife goes straight to my heart, he’s the sweetest
That heater thing at 36:37 is so 70s/80s Britain. Remember my grandparents having one.
I laughed everytime Caz was running😂 his flailing hands are too hilarious
MKiceantfire has to be omnipotent, making a full gameplay video for games in one try right after their release before the time that anybody should even have loaded in
I love how his memories are like signs of him becoming part of the hive mind , like how the other guy was talking about his wife and kids , and caz remembering his as well plus addair knowing what caz was doing it’s like them all having their own unique individual memories getting brought out of them and each time caz has them he had to have a stronger will each time to get out of it
52:12 - 52:48
i swear my soul left my body when i heard the "thing" running from behind.
This game is so aggressively Scottish, I love that about it
Been looking for this one, thank you.
This is horrifying.
I've been underestimating the Whales and Abnos, but they must be more or less like this as well. God... I'm really grateful these things aren't real.
Great video, by the way. Great game, too. It feels like watching a movie.
Woah, nice to see a fellow PM sleeper agent here.
Currently playing, just restarted the generators and avoided Addair. This game has fantastic audio design with stellar voice acting and some really good atmosphere. Superb quality
Give those voiceactors a raise
52:24 ''Does they even notice the mess?''
*throws cup*
''Uaagh! Ah-haaaaaagh!''
Had me laughing 😂
Why is it that games have better storylines than Hollywood movies today ? Hollywood hasn't got any imagination or integrity.
I appreciate the whole no commentary upload, cheers
I was actually said when Roy passed. They did that well, and the ending wow. Loved this. 😍
I love how the subtitles translate the slang used in this game
Quality over Quantity gameplay. Great story, Voice Acting and Graphics are all well brewed. Hope another amazing game comes out in the following years.
I love the game mode provided in the earlier part. For someone who enjoys game with storyline and not a fan of challenges much, for sure I'll choose story mode!
Standard mode is fine. It's not that challenging. You've just got to take your time.
Feel like I’m watching a Netflix or Amazon movie - Been glued to this from the start - Good action and good script writing 👍
I appreciate your videos so much yo. You play games my anxiety can’t handle

Caz McLeary, the first main character i know that argues about the other's tasks instead of happily acept them and do them
Your wrong about that
The rate of failure on the lifeboats makes me think that they weren't inspected.
Cheapskates they are, cannae afford to get inspections despite having probably millions of pound in that bank of theirs!
I love the development that The Chinese Room studio has had. Witness its evolution from Dear Esther, Amensia to Machine for Pigs, Everybody's gone to the rapture, and this excellent game. I wish they continue like this.
He also could've exercised to lower his BG if it was THAT cripplingly high.
This was in the 70's, things were different. Youd be surprised how many people still cant perform proper CPR, even offshore
I really like the dialog in this game
Coming from a Gaswegian they fuckin nailed it.
@@calummclaughlin7464idk who they or anything but they sound great considering I'm half way done with the video, any suggestions from them ?
@@menaceofnorthmemphiswhat, Glasgow?
Seems like a fun game to play. Loving the dialogue between the crew.
This is the best voice acting I have ever seen in a videogame since Red Dead Redemption 2 and it’s not being discussed enough
I've never even heard of this, but it looks incredible. The voice acting is fantastic 😮
Jesus the voice actors really pulled out the stops for the emotional parts. The moment with Roy hit like a brick to the gut.
Recently I have found myself watching loads of play throughs and every game I think of, nostalgic or just my type of game you always come up,, big love for that
12:31 THIS PART LMAOO HIS ACCENT MAKES IT FUNNIER😭😭
Caz has won the award for "worst day at work EVER"
The Scottish accent makes this game great a horror with a few giggles aswell
I actually love that the subtitles translate all the slang!
Indie games devs absolutely cooked oj this game, a well crafted story, I shed a few tears.
😂Caz flipping Brodie off was hilarious. @2:05:54
"Prick" 😂
Even in the face of death humor is important
The humour is amazing in the game. There's one line where Roy says on the phone, "Remember, Jesus loves you. Everyone else thinks you're a c__t." I almost choked on my coffee when I was playing that.
The act of voice actor for Cuz and Suze.. damn real cool..
SCOTLAND FOREVER!!! 🏴
VERY EMOTIONAL. also, Caz is HECK of a HERO. he Was the LAst 1 to die and he died making sure he KILLED that Disgusting Monster Bastard.
I like that the subtitles even translate the slang they say lol
*Just came to check the video after seeing an "explained" video on the monsters of this game. Man, I really love horror games with grotesque/terrifying design like you see in RE games. I wish there were more horror games out there with creative monster designs*
I NEVER watch any videos of gameplay of any games because, tbh, I find it boring... BUT... I was perusing the Xbox PC app and came across this game. I didn't get much as far as the pictures and videos on the Xbox preview went, so I turned to RUclips. Your video was the first I came across. I've been so engaged in this video that I've sat here glued to my screen. It plays out like a thriller/horror movie - and I love it. This game was put together really well, and then with the gameplay by MKIceAndFire, it kept my attention the whole time.
The part that the Rennick-thing keeps saying Mcleary's name, all I hear is McCready instead. It does give John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) vibes.
That was definitely intentional
Thst ending gets me every time. I've never cried over a video game before this.
This game could have a scenario for a great movie
I'm getting the thing vibes from this game and I'm loving it
The voice acting in this game is out of this world
Never thought I will cry to the ending. He deserved to see his wife and kids after all he went through.
I love how Barnsley is mentioned 6:17
There's another point where someone says "He's praying right now" and another guy says, "He's a Barnsley fan, he's used to it."
@@EHAmosit's right near the one hour thirty five mark
@@EHAmosSuch a bittersweet moment there. All hell has broken loose and the rig men still wise crack about football. Goes to show how people can muddle through with sports banter even in the darkest of times.
Wow 😲😲 really had me on edge 😬 the dialogue and voice acting was really good. Fantastic game ❤
IT FUCKING HURT WHEN SCOOBY DIED. I LOVED SCOOBY BRO😭🙏
we need more games like this
From a fellow Scot, the dialect is brilliant!
The protagonist has excellent physical conditioning, he would easily join any military special force. 😂😂
