  • The 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T isn't a Hyundai. It's its own thing. In this video Ryan takes a look at what makes the G70 so special, plus it's compared against the Kia Stinger and Mercedes-Benz C300.

    My buddy has the G90 now previously had a S-Class but got rid of it because it spent 80% of its time in the dealer. And he said to me a real luxury is not wasting your time in a dealer getting your car fixed. I can’t agree more. So if you want to throw away money get a German car or if you want something that last get a Lexus, Genesis etc. Can’t beat a ten year warranty 👍🏻.

    Dealer experience...... Genesis delivers cars to your home in a see through box. Also when it comes to servicing they come pick up your car and drop off a courtesy vehicle.....

    Love this car! Looks and drives amazing. Tech is easy to understand and fully functional. I do not mind the user interface being shared with Hyundai because its one of the best. Guy reviewing has clearly not used the Lexus touchpad interface. Id take Hyundai over Lexus ,Acuras, or Jaguars interface all day. Your wife gets it. She likes it.
    I do wish they would hve a manual for the 3.3L TT and that they would did the copper accented grill like they had on the G80 Sport. Small quibbles

      @@drivingsports sorry I know. Was being a bit salty. Just think it's a good medium between the elite of the Germans (like you said) and the horrors of Japan luxury systems. Really it's just the Lexus system is so bad it's hard to complain as long as it's not Lexus touchpad

      Blake Swan I don't get it either. I'm not singling this journalist out because they all do it. But no one complains about a 200k Mercedes maybach s class sharing infotainment with a 30k CLA which is just as (if not more) egregious than 55k Genesis sharing infotainment with a 25k Hyundai.

    I don't get the complaints about the infotainment. If you've never been in another Hyundai would you know otherwise?.. As long as it's functional who cares. What makes it worse than the German brand systems? If anything the G70's screen is better integrated than those, especially Audi and Mercedes' which just look like a cheap Chinese tablet glued to the top of the dash.

      I got a 2020 AWD Stinger GT 3.3TT for 36k--right at the height of coronavirus.Car was 43k and since I told them I was outright buying it with a trade i owned--KIA and the dealership gave me 6k in rebates total.3 from dealer and KIA corporate matched it.I paid 19k out the door--own the car--have 30k plus in the bank cause I had a 50k budget.I have an exhaust and geomet rotors cross drilled.The car is now a perfect reliable super fast GT Sedan.BTW people say suburus and type r hondas are great at the track.Those cars would not be able to keep up with just the light mods I have done and even stock the stinger would prob beat them..The stinger is a full second quicker to 60 and if you go through the computers--you can set the car up to be a track monster.Some of these reviewers get not so good track times with the stinger AWD--yet not once have I ever seen any of them go through them menu and set the car up for it.You can enter a corner flat with AWD and mid corner punch it and the computer will BOLT it our of the corner--I drove a Type r honda and it simply does not have the power of the stinger.The only other choice I even considered after the stinger was an GLA AMG 45--the little SUV--but it had a poor warranty--the turbo engine in US models have a lot of problems.The stinger has abig V6 and it develops torque early and even though the ANG had similiar--even slightly faster acceleration times--the stinger felt faster because you did not have to floor it to get power.bTW I was looking at a 2019 or 2018 AMG cause that was the only way they were under 45k was slightly used.

  • @khronin
    @khronin 4 года назад +1

    I have a stinger GT.The entertainment system is easy to use.This was my first car in 10 years and i learned the tech by myself within about 7 to 10 minutes.BTW put your music on a USB port--you can use a free converter and it sounds fantastic.BTW i rented an Audi A6--I loved that 3d map and for a while wish my Stinger had it--then as i got close to nasheville it glitched/failed and never worked again till i brought the car back and it had to go into service to get it up and running.A6 was almost 70k--it had 2k miles on it and one of the major electronics failed/glitched and had to goto service to get it to work again.Mine is a 2020 AWD GT 3.3TT and nothing under 45k can compete.I got mine for 36k.--19k after my 10 year old trade I owned.I was about to get a Type r then i test drove a stinger--BTW I am no fanboy--I get niche cars every 5 to 10 years and a you tube suggestion came up.I was blown away by the performance--handling--warranty.Also coming from a honda crosstour--the Stinger interior was on par with a Honda--which to me is a compliment because all the buttons are tight--no gaps--and everything works and is tight.I never even knew this G70 existed until about a month after i owned my car and got on the forums.BTW KIA--Genesis--use that 3.3 TT in a lot of cars and it has excellent reliability.It also has the str8 line performance of a V8 muscle car or low end AMG--M cars which are 60k plus. Stats from KIA--2020 AWD Gt is 4.5 to 60 and 12.8 in the quarter--which does not surprise me.Car is so fast i just kep it in comfort because there is hardly ever a car in daily driving that can beat it--especially off the line with AWD.

    The big turnoff for me for the German brands was warranty and they all look alike. You can buy a g70 and get a free 10 year/100k mile warranty without paying $5k+ extra. You also can’t tell the difference between an a4 and s4

    It's a very impressive vehicle. Not as versatile but somewhat more upscale than the Stinger. Have to say, though, that Hyundai/Genesis seems to believe that diamond quilted leather spells "L-U-X-U-R-Y." Both in the Genesis brand and in the new Hyundai Palisade. For me, though, it recalls the sofa in my grandmother's living room half a century ago. :)

    Yeah a C-class might be slightly more premium and advanced, but I'm not spending 60k on a car that doesn't even have ventilated seats.
    Also, there is nothing wrong with a basic infotainment. It gives you every necessary feature in a package that's familiar to everyone. The German systems are complicated and not user friendly for the average person.

The infotainment systems in BMW don't work very well because they try yo be so fancy they're hard to use. I'll take one that just works. And he'd take a slower Mercedes Benz? Also the average running cost of a C class or 3 series is approx $3500 a year. Genesis has the first 5 years of maintenance included in the price so you have no service charges. And it can walk away from a 340i any day of the week. The C class isn't even worth mentioning. Nor are this guys reviews.

      Cycle Rider,that is true because General Motors did no advertising at all and most people have never heard of the car. Nonetheless, now it is kind of a cult car, and I could sell my 2017 SS for more than I paid for it. Very few cars have held their value so well., and those with the 6-speed manual (which I have) are the most sought after. I also have the only two options offered - a sun roof and full size alloy wheel spare.
