    We do not normally get these sort of landings at Heathrow though they seem to be more common at Manchester, but this is nothing new to those of us who experienced landings at old Kai-Tak - they were fun.

    Sometimes you just can’t be worried about that grease job and you just gotta set her down on the tarmac. The landing gear can take it! Just get it down and get it stopped! And if you don’t like what’s happening, push the throttles to the firewall and GTFO out of there!

    • @Charlotte._.102
      @Charlotte._.102 2 года назад

      With all due respect a lot of theses flights left their respective countries before the storm hit! With fuel running out, a lot of them had to try and land otherwise their fate would’ve been a lot worse 😂 it’s testimony to the skills of the pilots that they’re able to land, it’s what they train for after all!

    • @morticialilas5286
      @morticialilas5286 2 года назад

      @@Charlotte._.102 I know what you mean in as far as they left prior to storm but the weather was also pre forcasted.Its because ive been in planes that dropped so low the oxygen masks fell out and engine broke,thats all.I know their fuel may run and of course commend the pilots skill but control shouldnt take risks in my opinion. Think about your statement. Planes hold 200-300 passengers, let's assume 250 on average. Heathrow is the busiest airport in all of Europe, and receives 45 planes per hour. That equates to 11,250 people arriving into Heathrow every hour. London City gets an average of 18 per hour, Luton 13, not sure about Stansted, but let's say 10. We now have a total of 21,500 people arriving into London by air, per hour. Suppose now that you decide to halt landings for the storm, let's say a cumulative 5h across the day. Then, suddenly, 107,500 passengers are stuck in airports across the globe -- but they need to get home. So tomorrow, air travel has over a hundred thousand passengers that need to be on planes. Do you see the problem? Air traffic control know very well what can and cannot be handled by planes and pilots; pilots themselves are incredibly well trained and skilled in general (the proof is in this video).

    I want you people to listen to me very carefully. There is a reason why there is an attendance policy in the employee handbook. This is for that reason. I am calling off today. And I'm watching the weather report like I watch Clubhouse. And when things clear up then my stomach will stop hurting and I can report into work. Hold on let me practice my cough. In fact we're living in the days of coronavirus. So why don't I just use that excuse. Because I'm not coming in today.

    Hey Amigo there was people’s life at risk during that landing and u commented like it was an RC plane game, that was very selfish and arrogant, go make a live inside a plane in that situation or in another similar dangerous situation.
    You didn’t acknowledge and respected a threating life situation, just looking the live views man what’s going on i your head? This is contributing to see people’s risking their life as an entertainment thing on the like one of those episodes in black mirror. be more respectful and if you don’t aknowledge this then i hope one of the people in that flight would explain it you
