Hello Jonh! sorry for that big text. do you believe it is necessary for me to use a DNS other than my ISP? My Plan is 240Mbps Down and 20Mbps UP (QOS on my router is 70% Ps4 higher) and speeds always beat between 190Down / 8Mbps * UP * on PS4 using my operator's DNS. already When I use Google DNS or OpenDns My Upload is no more than 3Mbps. my doubt is, if these DNS really different from our ISP improves our experience during online games or just in the probability of increasing the speed of downloading games. sorry my ingles

If your router is already set to use one of these public DNS, does setting it manually on the PS4 as well make any difference or is on the router enough?
When I’m trying to log on to my 5g wifi but when I turn my ps4 off and turn it back on it won’t connect

I have FiOS 300 down and up to my appliances downstairs, but up stairs I only had 36 down 11 up. I purchased a wifi extender with a Lan connection, linked it to my PS4 and saw a marginal improvement. When I tried your set up using Wi-Fi and not the Lan, I now have 217 down 76 up. I'm returning the wifi extender asap.

Automatic dns seems best for me. I uselessly tried multiple dns when the default was 3* faster
i ran default dns with no ethernet and i got 57.7 mbps download and 4.9 mbps upload

I have google fiber but the dns server you provided by google dns seemed to be the fastest for me instead of my actual server through my internet provider which is google fiber. Thanks for your help. But I would like to keep my daughters in my lobby without either me or them leaving that lobby. Is there a method I can use? Unfortunately, I'm using DSL, that's really all I can use around here 🙄. Glasscock I love your videos brother. I have run the benchmark site as well as the buffer bloat testing, although I can hit over 250mbps/25mbps down/up respectively, I QoS down to 55/20. I use 1.1.1.1 for my PS4 dns most of the time because it's best for me. But on busy times this dns jumps around alot and averages drop. So then I switch between my ISP dns or Google's, which ever is averaging better. I assume traffic affects the DNS servers just like anything else? When internet traffic is calmer I switch back because like I said most days and even most times throughout the day the 1.1.1.1 works best for me. I did notice something strange with ping times here in NY. I use spectrum for my ISP and I normally get 46ms ping times. No matter what I do. One recent evening I improved to 26ms ping times and my upload speed improved on my PS4. I was under the impression ping can only be changed by ISP hardware (not my own I run third party modem, CM-16 and router RT-AC5300) and distance from the signal/tower. So then why did I see one night of improved ping? literally this happened on 1/8/2020 and I test my PS4 connection every day before I play to see if I need to adjust things. If anyone can find an answer it would be you good sir.
Edit: I forgot to ask if it's possible or wise to run benchmark through the PS4 with wired connection? Would it show different DNS servers than the wired-laptop?

You click on your internet
Higher is better. Also just letting you know this video is clickbait. Your choice in DNS server doesn't affect your speed in any way. Any fluctuation in speeds seen in this video are likely related to either your ISP or the speed testing server and have nothing to do with your DNS. DNS is used for name resolution. Name resolution does not affect download or upload speed. Sorry to disappoint those looking for a quick fix.
