My friend and i started the same download. His was 5 min to start and 15 min to complete. Mine was 55 min to start and 5 hours to complete. And i am connected by wire. Absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in my times with wifi and wired. I don't understand why. Ive watched so many vids. Changed to goole dns and blah blah. And it wad 13.773 GB to start and 48.593 GB to compete. An hour per 10GB with wired i don't understand. And why no faster than wifi?

His tips do work! I was so frustrated with the download speeds and I tried a couple of his tips and I kid you not, they made everything so much faster. I don't have very fast internet but these tips turned frustrating wait times to tolerable ones.

I have a 100MB VDSL Connection, but the highest Download Speed my PS4 gets is 13MB/1-2sec. To this day i didnt find a way to increase the speed

Biggest game I’ve downloaded was COD MW 2019, was like 132 GB and took like 14 hours. Had to buy a 2Tb external hard drive since my 1TB ps4 was full. Other big downloaded games I’ve had were elder scrolls online (90~ Gb), and DC Universe online
Rebuilding the database works too. It helps with both download speed and reduces lag in game, or at least for me it reduced game lag.
OR just get a Ps5😭😭😭

@@fr_guh no while in rest mode the ps4 prioritizes charging your controller and downloads.. If you try it, it will speed it up your downloads
