Turns out for throwing weapons to deal good damage they have to be sacred or flame art infused, since the faith scaling also scales the physical damage
its downright insane at 40 str and 80 fth flame art infused the smithscript gh is ony 13 ar behind the giant crusher.
@@Miu-souls why is it insane? That's like double the levels.
@@ayayron8221thats the general statspread i have both on the same build the 40 str are only there to meet the requirements for the giant crusher and only give the smithscript greathammer around 55 ar. at 80 fth you get over 930 ar and the str scaling is negligible. the 40 str for requirements are also the thing giving the gc more ar. str Investment on the ssgh isnt realy worth it. ist just realy insane that a greathammer gets ar comparable to the otherwise highest ar weapon in the game.
@@ayayron8221because the ssgh dosent gain much from the str investment using a flameart ssgh at 80 fth vs a fire gc at 80 str would probably a better comparison in this case the gc would actually only get around 935 ar meaning it would he more or less equal with the ssgh the only real reason the gc got a bit more ar than the ssgh is that i met the str requirements of the gc which retains a better str scaling. you have to remember here that the gc is the heavieps collosal weapon in the game and the ssgh is just a hreathammer.

Man it didn't take long for people to use the rolling spark for pvp
Smithscript chakram are one of the most underrated int weapons in the game, if you infuse it with frost it gets an amazing scaling in int and dex and the heavy attack has good trcking and it builds up a lot of frostbite and if you use it point blank you can it some enemies multiple times. The only downside is that it it doesn't do much poise damage, but if you pair it with blind spot you can mitigate that.
Fun fact: jumping R2 with two handed smithscript knives at midrange has a good chance for a head shot. Shout out to Capdayne for finding this.
The Hammer and the Shield are some of my favorite DLC items. I just wish the Shield was actually usable as a Shield aswell as for Captain America cosplay. Like give it atleast 90% Phys Block and not just 74%.
Maybe with the deflecting tear?
I think you should go for everything interesting and theres a lot in this dlc
I love the smithscript weapons, the only flaw i think is the daggers should have a little more reach
There’s also throwable claws you get completing a quest
I'm so glad they fixed the bug on that lightning perfume bottle thing. That was straight up broken. That made the original Rivers of Blood look balanced.
My favorite thing about the shield is the odd timing/cost of it. It cost like absolutely nothing, does pretty good dmg, and has some crazy tracking. Its so small its easy to lose track of it and seems like a very strong weapon for mix ups in pvp

Yeah, not sure if that's a glitch or just Fromsoft trolling us but this thing and the madness bottle both have a insane oneshot potential. That one attack easily does over 2000 dmg...

@@sirvilhelm3569not just for you, but general FYI, it’s not the bottles, it’s the AoW. if you aim it at the floor unlocked, all the attacks bunch up and explode at once. it works on ALL the bottles except the poison one. so the flame and the cold one as well, not just the frenzy and the lightning. the lightning one is the one that scales the best with faith, which is why you see it a lot. the flame one is just a pure dex weapon, cold =int, poison=arc, and the frenzy one scales with like 3 or 4 stats. not sure which is best.
but anyhoo, it’s just the Aow. Prod even mentions it by name a min or so later- Rolling Spark. i like the bottles, but i’ve started using the other perfume ash cuz that one is pretty busted, even without the floor/wall glitch.
One of my favorite weapons I've been trying is the thrusting shield as a main weapon, not using any like magic shield or anything lightning blink And a thrusting shield and its fun

Made a build with the throwing shield in the off-hand and the axe in the mainhand feels more like a zoning character from a fighting game than elden ring

i think it's a peculiarity of the backhand blades, where if you do a running attack you will keep running afterwards, it's really cool
I want to see some madness invasions, between the perfume and madness hand theres some cool new stuff.
Definitely do the interesting and gimmick weapons first, it's just more entertaining seeing them, of course change to the op weapons when you feel like it or you want an "easier" pvp session.

Really not that bad. Kinda hard to get hit by it unless you’re trying to trade into it. Which is a bad idea. Unless they’re parrying you or putting you to sleep first.
@@leonidus3147 The fact that it's instant bleed on basically everything both pve and pvp will get it nerfed.
I decided to swap to an arcane build after building up a collection of cool new weapons, blood infused the arm, and then my jaw hit the floor when I saw 200+ buildup 😮💨 a single heavy instant bled nearly everything I hit with it. Had to put it away bc I felt dirty using it lol

Edit: I also spawned in the tree, but the host and his buddy were there to kill me before I could teleport out. They also made sure to tea bag my corpse as well.

A mix is good, the most broken stuff isn't going to stay the broken after a patch or two so it'd be fun to see some silly shit with it. Otherwise the DLC weapons in general are all pretty fun.

Perfume only invasions would be interestingly challenging, now that we have infinite perfume weapons
they could be pretty good if you wanted to make like an old DS2 style mundane-esque build and only used the perfume bottles, since they all scale with different stats. might make for an interesting mix up for people who are kinda bored with normal play styles.. also, you can hold different ones in each hand and they’ll powerstance if you wanted the split dmg for some reason, or just wanted one with bloodhound step on one or something. they’re all light enough where you could carry all of them and a seal at once with no problem to. just turn the battlefield into a rave😅

Swift slash is the ultimate offense tool.
Almost unescapable, variable timing and no possibility to retaliate.
And blindspot is the perfect defense tool.
You just wait until someone attacks then press the one Button and you hit them instead without receiving damage.
It basically makes you unapproachable by meele.
Don't forget the bow that has homing arrows. Considering the way statuses are incredibly bullshit by building up even if you dodge... Try facing a full gank of people spamming that lol
@@Walamonga1313 that’s true. But I haven’t really tried that yet or seen it used in pvp so I can’t speak on it much.
But if it is like enchanted shot in that it forces you to roll it will be very bad.
I’m generally very unhappy about all the unstrafable things that have been added in the DLC. It’s not a big deal for 1v1 but as soon as it’s 2 or 3v1 and rolls can be reliably forced there is an issue because it just means that gankers will exploit it for frametraps.
You don’t even have to be good at the game for that.

They completely messed up pvp (somehow even more). Thr most cancer gank I've seen are people up a ladder waiting to use the perfume one shot. If you don't bite, they chase you with the new tracking bow (arrows literally home in on you) using sleep arrows

death blight CS and any torch or throwing weapon, the new scummy glitch is the left hand torch or thrown weapon will end you

@@thewardog1534 scumbags use a glitch with left hand being infused with death light after using CS ash not 100% how it works but i do know only waifu is telling people its only on the madness torch n telling people it never misses n insta procs madness too which it doesn't, i use it for shitters that torch takes like five hits with good stats, maddening hand insta process madness 600+ dps when landed plus hits when then madness proc'd
