I'm a big fan of GM's 6.2L V8. It has such a nice, loud rumble from the factory through the stock exhaust. Plus 7.5 sec 0-60 for a 4000+ pound SUV is great
Cadillac Escalade is definitely one of, if not THE most beautiful SUV out there, I mean just look at all that sexy chrome!! Anyone who disagrees MUST be blind!!!
@CarboyX i agree with the first gen, not second, only for the fact that that Navigator sat too low, and was the slowest pig on the road. other than that, nice truck. of course now the Escalade is leaps and bounds better than the navigator
I had some modifications made to my Escalade ESV Platinum, because I love the SUV but I hate the fuel economy. It now averages at about 63 MPG. It's amazing what a couple batteries and some fine-tuning can do.
@Fishcars1213 I honestly understand that the BMW is lighter and faster, but I like the Cadillac better, has a great sounding V8 that is easy to mod, BMW's are difficult, and rather expensive to mod beyond factory. The sheer size an appeal of the Escalade can't be beat. And personally, I like the driving characteristics of them, BMW's are mostly harsh, and stiff, a compromise for better handling. While the Cadillac and comfortable and relaxed, yet still handles ok considering the size and weight.
The third row seat is an issue, The Lincoln Navigator's power fold down third row seats fold flat, you dont have to go through all that lugging seats out of the vehicle to provide storage. This is why GM gets alot of flack, so much money for for vehicles lacking in what customers want and see in the competiton. That's why Pontiac is gone, $40,000 for a 4 speed transmission front wheel drive Bonneville GXP! $67,000 for a new Escalade and i gotta exert my energy and pull out 3rd row seats? Cmon!
Push and hold the traction control button for 6 seconds and stability control turns off, when you open the window hold the button down till the window rolls all the way down then flick the button up to close the window and there! Automatic up and down is activated, the 3rd row seating folds down and then can fold up towards the front of the truck so u don't have to pull them out ALL THE TIME!!! Damn these people didn't even care to open the manual IT'S ALL THERE!!! Idiots
@thebeastaz121996 Not sure about the third row space, i'll have to check but i doubt Caddy has more room in the back as opposed to the Navigator. The Navi is longer and even the 03-06 model had more room all the way around. As i said i will check and get back to you on that. As far as comfort, the Navi seats are pretty confortable and more stylish in my opinion. Overall, your not gonna get much room in any SUV in the 3rd row . SUV's don't provide much room anyway, Vans have more room.
You can buy whatever you want with your money, but that might be why some of you are so upset at what others choose to buy. When you use your money to buy me what I want then you decide. Till then shhhhh and be mad, happy, or indifferent when you see me pass by!!!
@MrOskar159 i have a 2007 and i have never had a problem. you the clunk noise comes from not getting premium gas. you should probably not be sooo poor and fill up with premium not regular or mid grade.
Not top of its class. I drove a Range Rover as a rental and i have an Escalade and The Escalade is by far the SUV ive ever driven. I like mercedes but that truck is ugly as fuck. And the ride quality in any vehicle is nothing like a cadillac. But i did have a mercedes it was a 2007 c300 and my neighbor has the s550. I like mercedes but german cars stay in the shop. Thats the part i hate i had to get rid of it. But my Escalade gives me no problems atleast so far. Dont jynx it. Lol! Best SUV
i own a 2007 Escalade and its the worst car i have ever owned, its getting things repaired every other week don't ever buy one, plus problems that gm says are normal clunk noise from drive components while slowing down during acceleration shifting into drive or reverse piston slap in the morning very loud like a diesel engine but according to gm its normal plus other electronic abs stability service engine issues
*walks to the cadillac dealer* omg i lovvee thiisss carrr i wanntt 1 just cuz every1 else does omg i want that cheap plastic chrome i just love it...NOTT*sees a range rover* ohhh now thats a car.
You can put this "SUV" and the the thugs that like it and drive them to the grave yard, stop by GM and pick up their product planners and bury them too.
@rudewolf89 Mine gets 13mpg its the EXT though... so a little less weight? Plus I have black spray paint graffiti all over the pearl white paint job :) Im prolly 1 of 3 people in the world who is 23 and rich enuff to deface a 60k truck & drive around laughing in people's face who might never afford one.
lots of chrome, good power/gas mileage. but so unreliable. esp in offroading. cadillacs are still known as old people's car. haha Its still better than the hummer h2 though. hummer h2 is the worst car america has made. its just overrated with all the stars driving it.

my dad has one and its awesome and the engine sound is just amazing
youd be surprised, without the speed limiter, and higher speed rated tires, it'll almost reach those speeds, about 145-150MPH
Im still buying one!!!
Tony Lee i just bought the ESV
@@danielconnor1551 Do you still have it and if you do have you had any major problems???
wow! The Escalade is so sexy! I love the chrome, it's absolutely beautiful!!
motorweek had a test on this, It did o-60 in 6.1, maybe it was a little denser colder
air
Mine, bone stock, gets to 60 in around 6.4.... this is the lowest estimate BY FAR.
Mine too.
0-60 is in the mid 6s. And to turn off stability control you must hold traction control button down for 6 seconds, then it will read stabil off
Escalade is so hot. I've been in the Escalade a bunch of times, the interior is very luxurious
Cadillac Escalade is definitely one of, if not THE most beautiful SUV out there, I mean just look at all that sexy chrome!! Anyone who disagrees MUST be blind!!!
it'ss myy caaaaaaaaaaaar!! i love it
cadi truck is best one i ever owned low maintenance
love this truck
@CarboyX i agree with the first gen, not second, only for the fact that that Navigator sat too low, and was the slowest pig on the road. other than that, nice truck. of course now the Escalade is leaps and bounds better than the navigator
No the 6.5s is the 0-60 for the all new Escalade Hybrid.
lol "the use of chrome trim is tasteful and restrained". I don't know about the "restrained"... :P
Leave it in (D)rive shifts for economy. It shifts way too early. I like the manual mode selection.
I had some modifications made to my Escalade ESV Platinum, because I love the SUV but I hate the fuel economy. It now averages at about 63 MPG. It's amazing what a couple batteries and some fine-tuning can do.
they made the seats fold up on the o8 models. other than that the only thing that they could find something wrong with is the windows!
You have to hold the t/c for like 10 sec. To turn off the stability control
The Escalade is sexy, definitely want one at one point.
Can anyone who owns one tell me about the fuel economy?
i love cadillacs, allways have allways will..no comparison to others..why compare just get what YOU like
Compare this to gl 450 which weighs 1200lbs less in braking? come on a mid-size against a full size suv you gotta be kidding!

then why is the cts rear wheel drive?

What does the book call for???
@@mercedesbenzs600bash premium
Best luxury truck.
@coolgames14 Lol. Yea that would be nice. Im sure it can handle it
the back of it looks like it got cut off, its horrible compared to the esv.. the esv's back looks so much better, its longer and it looks better.
r all escalades awd or rwd
damn dis suv is sexy as fuck luv the new style of the cadi
@coolgames14 Yea i know. But who wants to take a beautiful SUV like this offroad
isnt it limited at 100 miles per hour? thats really slow, isnt it? should go at least about 140 or sth.

i like the fact that this car pisses people off...that's why i like driving it
This thing HAS to have fold flat rear seats. For that kind of money I should be able to fit a tv without taking of the seats.
The Slade makes the GL look like crap.
JESUS IS COMING BACK SO GET READY
y is every 1 hatin??? who doesnt want 1
wtf 160mph isnt 220kmh and it can go neither 160 mph or 220 kmh
@coolgames14 Why would it be 4wd. Its a Beautiful SUV. Its not a hauling truck. Lol AWD is better than 4wd in bad weather so thats why its like that.
Chevrolet does not make the engine. General Motors is the automaker & they own various companies that produce the engines.
who the F*ck would want to go 160 mph with a 3 ton truck then have to make a sudden stop on the highway ?????????????
its amazing on the outside but they fucked it up inside
The best looking SUV ever...fuck Bmw x6,x5 and whatever

@georgiabadboy1 I love that reply, because it's 100% true!
