I saw a primo white split window fuel injected turn the corner in Berkeley recently while I was walking. I actually wanted to run to catch up with it I got so excited. I had a friend who owned one and he took me for a spin...never forget it - it bucked a few times taking off and then it was like being strapped to a rocket...a lifetime memory.
Has anyone ever explained how a shape can be so appealing to the eye? Because I remember when I first saw the C2. I was a pre schooler. It was on a tv show. I didn't understand the show but I remember that car. It has an effect on me. I want one still.
Hi JA Smith, "Has anyone ever explained how a shape can be so appealing to the eye?" After Googling your question, there are some videos on the topic. Hope you're behind the wheel of the right C2 for you soon, Lou
The tube from the right exhaust manifold was your heat riser for the choke. Chevy used those for years until the swing-under manifolds came out around 67. Fuelie Vettes didn't use the heat riser. Sweet 63! Thanks!
Lou, that "thing/tube" coming off of the manifold to the carburetor is for the choke. It draws hot air from the manifold which is carried up the tube to heat the choke, so that when the engine is at operating temp the choke will be fully released. My white,1963' Impala SS I had originally had the same motor with the same setup. With the exception being, mine was a 350 HP, 327 stock. Which soon became a 350 cu - 350 HP engine from out of a 1969' Nova after the original 327 blew. And shortly after that the 350 HP - 350 cu became a 366 cu just shy of 500 HP. Had a 4-speed Muncie with a 373 gear in the rear. One of the most beautiful cars GM ever produced - along with the split-window 1963' vette! I surely miss those days - back in the day! hot rodding around in my 1963' Impala SS.
My Father had one he ordered and it was Black with red interior 327 and every one looked at us when we booked by.I was seven years old then :>) Dad was super cool.

@@loucostabile found a few possibilities. I just need the dough for one. They're all need to be restored but they're a good start! One is as low as $5,700!!! It was a theft recovery that was stripped.
Yep, stopped at the Chevy dealer in '63 to get some brochures. I remember the full line brochure, incl the Sting Ray. Ended up buying a new Corvair Monza convertible.
Hi George Shadrick, Glad to read you enjoy the sounds of this car :-) I like them too. Regarding my service, it's my pleasure and thank you for the encouraging words, Lou

A beautiful color combo split window vette ! Thanks for sharing Lou 👍😎👍 my dad had a chance to get a 32,000 mile original silver 63 hardtop for $3200 about 15 years ago. My personal favorite Corvette! The only 63 ‘Vette that I love even more than the 63 Split Window is THE 63 without the Split Window. And that is the 63 Grand Sport! Not only its my all time dream car. But it’s also a super rare racer that was literally banned from racing! Furthermore the 63 Corvette Grand Sport was the first toy car I’ve ever had as a kid!

Perfect Vette. Irony: many cars today have poor to no visibility out the rear window and nobody complains.
Hi Old Town, "Perfect Vette" :-) Happy to read you enjoy this car, Lou
I had a Split Window and loved it. No problem seeing out the back if you adjust your rear view mirror correctly
If backup cameras, blindspot alerts, and automatic braking were around in 1963 the split window would have lasted through ‘67.
