I bought my first Vette when I was 19...back in 1979....it was a yellow with black stripe 63 convertible...327 4 speed....loved that car...so much fun to drive
I am 70 y.o. and a retired automotive engineer. My father worked for Chevy Engineering when I was growing up and brought home all the 60's, 70's and up until early 80's Corvettes, SS Chevelles, Camaros and Novas...big and small block, some iconic big block Corvettes and even LS6 Chevelle. That was my childhood, riding in these cars he helped developed at the Tech Center in Warren, MI. The best of upbringings. So fortunate. Thanks Peter. PS. The perfection of these iconic cars was in their imperfection which gave them such distinct character. Just as I remember...including red interior.
I'm 76, started with GM Engineering in August 1966, stumbled upon the new Camaro sitting in our factory before it ever came out... Ford considered the split rear window for the '63 Mustang: i0.wp.com/www.curbsideclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Ford-Mustang-clay_and_drawings.jpg
I saw my first Vette as a kid in 1968. It was a white over red C2. It started my love of Corvettes. I am on my seventh Vette, with four of those being white over red. The '63 in this video is my dream car. It is such a beautiful car. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Still looks fantastic for a 60 year old design, and will still be awesome in another 60 years. They definitely hit a home run when they designed the C2 Corvette. And a stunning white example is hard to beat..
They are the best old ( pre 1970) cars and better than some 70s and even some 80s cars to drive . There is nothing better to drive than a nice low mileage un messed up car . If you ever get the chance to drive one , take it. You won’t regret it .
I own a 68 AMC AMX 343 engine automatic transmission M11 borg Warner automatic transmission. It has 4 wheel drum brake manual. It stops on a dime I do have wider tires and excellent quality. A mechanic thought it was disc brakes
I remember the 63 reveal oh we were out rageous on the change but that changed as my friends received them as gifts and raced thru the streets of boomfield CT. It was better than the jag or Healy.
You could order them, but no one got any since they could not fix the air leaks the few test sets had. They are on cars being driven in this video however at the 16 min 50 sec mark. They are 2 fin spinners instead of the tricorn that could be had starting at some point in 1964/1965. There are very few real knock offs, most are reproductions, but again they are correct for the cars. ruclips.net/video/pNso4bvLeyo/видео.html

Guys thanks a lot for the most beautiful car videos on RUclips! Fantastic example of 1963 Corvette!

@@Tom-ok2rh we couldn’t agree more! Timeless design
My #1 dream Corvette is a C2 coupe. I don't care what hp or small or big block! It would just be awesome!!!
The nod to Tom Hnatiw at the end of your videos is a nice touch.
Yes it is 👍🏻
Was thinking the same thing. Gary is doing a fine job carrying on his Dad’s style at Legendary.
Glad you think so!
My best friend growing up's dad had a beautiful white 63 Vette. He would take us for rides. I sat in the back. Lol. Good times.
My personal favorite of all time. My neighbor had one in the late 70s
Hischool dude had a 63 fulie. What a rocketship. I would kill for that hotrod.
My dream car still...:)
Love that engine lope

Much appreciated!
I have the same exact car never driven. Matter of fact its still in the original package.

Beautiful SWC!!!
We’re knock offs a GM option in 1963 or added later?

427 Big Block 😁
Uh, No
Always a good idea to watch video before commenting.
@zerkfiter As you might be able to tell, I wasn't ser!ous with the 427 Big Block part.
@@glen3509 - It could've had one put in there... but more likely an L88 or SBC 377...
I would pay extra to get rid of the background music in the otherwise great vid.
That air cleaner looks like a restriction
