- Hey guys, this is my first top 20 list. Let me know what you think.
Also let me know if you would want a PART 2 to this and include some bands you would want to see. I get bored sometimes :D
I know there are many more bands missing, parkway drive, amity affliction, adept, eskimo callboy, Silverstein, FIR, ETF, BVB, ect. I just couldn't fit them all. Also, the songs are all my personal opinion. I don't care to argue with people over which band is better or why a band isn't on the list. Odds are that I listen to the bands that are missing from the list, but didn't think they would be in my top 20. Also, I really don't know why I included All Time Low hahaha, it was a phase we all had so don't judge. Plus, all of this music fits in the same genre to me. There's so many different "titles" to this type of music so read the title of the video... "Whatever else you can call it". Call it what you wish guys, but idc about what genre it is, I care about how it sounds.

I was 16 years old in 2015, that was when I first became emo and I never knew what emo was or anything at all. So when I became emo I had look up emo bands and this is what I listened to and ever since than, BMTH has been my favorite as well as other bands in this list. I'm now 22 years old, engaged and a kid on the way. If it wasn't for this vid, I wouldn't even of known who bring me the horizon is and other bands. So thanks to the dude who posted this, it played an amazing role in my life as an emo and I really do wish I can be emo again. I want to get back into the looks and stuff and just look straight up from 2009 or even 2006.

How did Black Veil Brides, Falling in Reverse, Pierce the Veil, and Attila miss out?
Because first off, Escape the FATE was in there, and they have the lead vocalist from Falling in Reverse. and the rest suck..
+Joey Audet Nope... Ronnie Radke got kicked out of Escape the Fate in 2008. He made falling in reverse in 2011. This video was made in 2013... And Black Veil Brides, Falling in Reverse, Pierce the veil, and Attila don't suck. Not because you don't like their music means you can say they suck. Escape the fate are good, but the bands I mentioned are way more better and more successful.
I mean, I like Black Veil Brides because of their Bomb ass guitarists. I don't like Atila because of their satanic music. I am a proud Christian and I hate seeing good talent wasted because if satanic lyrics and stuff. And my bad. I thought Falling in Reverse was before Escape the Fate..

I'm over 40 I've always listened to a lot of death metal classic metal hardcore but after the last 10 years or so I started liking bands like Atreyu and Of Mice and Men.Call them guilty pleasures if you will there's some good stuff out there by these bands

Not post-hardcore or emo or screamo. If you want to understand what those genres sound like watch videos called Evolution of Post-Hardcore (1983 - 2013), Evolution of Emo (1985 - 2012) and Evolution of Screamo (1992- 2012).
